Hermosos apartamentos de tres habitaciones en el corazón de tus vacaciones de verano. A pasos de la hermosa playa del lago Michigan, a una corta caminata del parque y del zoológico de Michigan City, no te pierdas las preocupaciones del jueves por la noche en el parque (nuevamente, muy transitable), monta tu bicicleta a lo largo del lago en Lake Shore Drive o caminar o conducir hasta el Blue Chip Casino. Amazing Experience

Our first time at this property. It is incredibly well located just a very short walk to the beach. The owner is the best and most communicative that I've met in renting a VRBO property which is very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location

The location was great in proximity to our friends and the beach. The only thing I will say is that the photographer is amazing at getting the best pictures of the amazing parts of the house. I would have liked more privacy (I.e. curtains) in the sunroom/bedroom as the neighbors could see into the bed. There is a lot of moisture as well coming from the basement.

Jaci, thanks for the review and kind words regarding the pictures (I only use my cell phone camera). I'm a bit perplexed about the moisture comment in the basement. The basement isn't a living space and has direct access from the beach into a room for beach chairs and towels, a remodeled laundry room and a fully remodeled bath when you come in from the lake. We also have a de-humidifier that operates as needed. Thanks for letting us know, I'll have that looked at.

2nd Time Here!

Enjoyed a long weekend getaway with my husband, our four grown children (ages 18-26), and a couple of their friends. We love this neighborhood and this house! Our 7th time to visit Michigan City and our 2nd time to stay at this house. Easy walk to the beach, which is down from the public beach and not nearly as crowded. Also in walking distance to Washington Park and the Zoo. Beach chairs and towels are provided -- no need to pack them. Owner is very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again!

If you’re reading this and it’s available book it! Very responsive host who showed a high level of customer service. Proactive communication and very easy checkin. Sooo many amenities that create a very comfortable, relaxing experience. Great selection of beach and bath towels and numerous hooks in both bathrooms that help with wet suits and beach clothes. Beds were comfortable. Window seat in the front was a favorite area to relax. House is decorated really cute. Artwork and lighting create a fun, vacation mood. Beach is two very small blocks away and the area has a Florida beach community vibe. Marina is also walkable. Lighthouse was a pretty walk, too. Great sunrise and sunsets. Farmers market was pretty small but fun Saturday experience. Can’t comment too much on food in the area since we cooked at the house. Base camp is a casual sandwich type spot. There is also a restaurant by the marina (walkable from the house). Mateys looked like a fun lake bar and grill but we didn’t eat there. Walkable but it might be a touch of an ambitious walk depending on your group or time of day. We also went to the outlets. They were ok, but a different activity to get out of the sun for a few hours. This is one of those rentals that you appreciate that the hosts have thought of everything so you don’t have to. You can just focus on the time with your family or friends. Highly recommend.

Great beach house

We had a great time staying at this beach house. The house is comfortable, very clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked for anyone who prefers to cook their own meals. Close to many good restaurants as well. The best part is the super short walk to one of the nicest beaches in the area!

Pretty much perfect for our "beach" weekend

This home is spacious enough to accommodate our family and friends, we absolutely love the location. This is our second year coming to Michigan City and this property was perfectly located for our needs. We spent a good amount of time at the beach and this place had it all! It was so awesome to have all the beach gear you could possibly need for a large family. Beach Chairs, coolers and more; really all we would need to bring is ice and your beverages of choice. Owner was very accommodating and attentive to all questions . We would totally recommend to rent this home.

Great Weekend Getaway

This is our 5th time to visit this area as we have grown to love Sheridan Beach and this neighborhood. This house did not disappoint! Plenty of room for my husband and me plus our four grown children (ages 16-24) and a couple of their friends. Everything you need is provided. We especially loved the beach chairs and towels - was nice to not have to pack those extras. Owner answered our questions right away and was very nice and helpful. Great locations - easy walk to the beach. Would definitely stay again!

Great Location

Brand new bathrooms, sparkling clean. There are two entrances and the first floor is very well designed to come home from the beach drop off your towels and beach toys and jump in the shower. Patio in the back is quiet and private. You can see the beach from the front porch. Lake Michigan is a short two block walk from the house. We walked to and from town. It was a 28 minute walk to a really nice restaurant. Perfect location for a weekend get away.

Great house in a convenient location

This house was clean and in a very convenient location, especially if you have children with you. It was stocked with more items than expected and made our stay very comfortable. Owner was very responsive to messages and accommodating. Highly recommend staying at this property.

Perfect location!

The property and the owner were both excellent! The location was perfect for us. Our only complaint would be the age of the appliances, pots, pans, etc, and that there weren't any larger beds. The stove is an old gas stove and the pots and pans all felt cheap. For a few hundred bucks a new modern stove and some new equipment in the kitchen would work wonders. For our family of 6, preparing our planned meals was a bit difficult with the age of some of the kitchen items. While there was plenty of room for the 6 of us, the largest bed in any of rooms was only a full at best. Granted, the rooms were small so a queen may not be ideal, but it would certainly have been more comfortable. These are small complaints (suggestions) though. Still 5 stars all the way for us! The beach access was superb... Just a block up the street and you're in the sand! The neighbors, both permanent and other vacationers, were all very friendly and welcoming to us obvious tourists. The instructions that were left in varying locations throughout the house were all very detailed. We didn't have any trouble knowing how to turn on the TV, DVD (they have what could be for *many* people an intricate and perhaps confusing entertainment system), the portable air conditioning, etc. Likewise with the instructions left for when guests come back from the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will strongly consider coming back again next year! We plan on making a "beach week" a yearly event since we had so much fun on our stay, and this house will be high on our list (top of the list with the couple of changes mentioned). Thanks again to the owners for the hospitality and the wonderful property!

GREAT RENTAL!!!!!

We were thoroughly pleased with this rental. It is a cozy, clean home to share for your family event. Our entire family enjoyed this home as well as the porches and outdoor cozy sitting area! It was also close to zoo, park and the beach. The owner was available to us to answer our questions and made us feel at home! We will definitely rent this property again!

This has been a family home for over 40 years. It's a great get-a-way vacation home close to the beach with a lake view. Recently both bathrooms have been completely remodeled, the kitchen was gutted and upgraded, including new appliances and custom cabinets with quartz countertops & the exterior was repainted in the spring of 2023. You'll love this family home.

Once you've spent a beautiful weekend on this beach, you'll understand why you'll want to come back again and again. The fresh water of Lake Michigan and the beauty of the beach makes you feel like you are miles from home. It's incredibly relaxing, beautiful and fun.

It's hard to say if having coffee on the sun porch in the morning, looking at the lake or enjoying cocktails in the evening prior to dinner is more fun. Either way, you know that heading to the beach after coffee or going out to a local restaurant or cooking on the grill after cocktails is going to be enjoyable with friends and family.
