We had the most incredible stay! The home was absolutely stunning—spacious, beautifully maintained, and perfect for our large group. The location couldn’t be better—right on the beach and just a short distance from downtown, giving us the best of both worlds.A huge thank you to the concierge, Mariana, who went above and beyond to make our trip seamless and special. Her recommendations and attention to detail truly elevated our experience.The security and cleaning staff were also exceptional—friendly, professional, and always making sure everything was safe and spotless.This property exceeded all of our expectations, and we’re already talking about when we can come back! Highly recommend.

Amazing stay for a large multi-generational group

We brought a group of 20 extended family members ranging in age from 5 to 79, and Blue Jewel was perfect. The property is amazing, and the staff made our time truly special. We worked with Mariana and Ulises to create so many wonderful experiences. I cannot recommend strongly enough.

Wonderful time celebrating

If you need a house for a large group this is the perfect place. We were a group of 22 people ranging in age 13 to 70 and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house set up and the location can’t be beat. We rented golf carts to get around town and there was lots of space to park. The staff was great and attentive. The location allowed everyone in the group to be able to do their own things while still spending lots of time togetger and doing excursions. We hired the chef a few times and it was wonderful and so worth it. Thanks to Greg and his team for all the support ahead of the trip. We would all loved to go back eventually.

A beautiful large home in a great location - walkable to everything our family needed. Great pool and beach. On property housekeeping and security an added bonus. Overall a fabulous week!

Perfect Family Stay

From walking in the door the property far exceeded expectations. It was the perfect getaway for our extended family. With 18 guests it truly hit all the marks providing nice areas to escape as well as large gathering spaces to enjoy meals. The location is ideal to walk into town but far enough away to enjoy a quiet retreat. I would highly recommend The Blue Jewel.

Amazing friends reunion

Our stay at Blue Jewel was fantastic! Our group of 9 friends spent a week in early May and had an amazing time. The property was beautiful and in a perfect location situated steps from the beach and a quick walk to Tamarindo. The space itself was nicely maintained and very well designed to accommodate a large group with both indoor and outdoor living. The outdoor dining space and pool area was the perfect gathering area for our group. The concierge was very responsive and made communications and planning easy, including booking a chef for our stay and helping with stocking groceries. The onsite staff was great and friendly, making the stay easy and enjoyable. Overall, we couldn't have bee happier with our stay and would absolutely recommend the Blue Jewel!

Great location, well maintained house

The house was perfect for my group of 14 adults. The daily housekeeping was very nice and the rooms were all very clean and comfortable. The location right on the beach is ideal. The house comes stocked with tons of towels, pool toys and everything you would need for a beach getaway. Highly recommend this house.

Wonderful house in a perfect location

We have just returned from Blur Jewel and had a wonderful experience. We were a group of 19 adults. The house was just as stated. Very responsive communication with the house manager Marianna. We had a chef for breakfast and dinners each day arranged by the house. The location was perfect walking distance to shops and restaurants as well as located right on the best part of the beach.

Fantastic Family Spot

A group of 18 of us, aged 17 to 85, traveled to Costa Rica and we were so happy with Blue Jewel! The VRBO host was very responsive to questions before we left the U.S. and they organized airport transfers for us. We also utilized the services of the chef for a few meals and the food was amazing! Having access to the beach just in front of the property, plus a private pool, provided for opportunities for lots of activity, especially for the group of our 20-somethings. We rented surfboards next door from Langosta Beach Club, and the VRBO host located some boogie boards at their other properties which we used during the week. The on-site housekeeping staff and security staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. We dream of visiting again!

Perfect Vacation

Even better than advertised on the listing. Each bedroom in the main house had its own A/C and bathroom. In between the back yard and the public beach is a shaded (with trees) stretch with a small fence for semi-privacy. Can take the beach or a sidewalk to town. We added on chef services for dinner and every dinner was incredible.

Amazing home, perfect vacation

Our stay at the Blue Jewel was absolutely perfect. Everything from the incredible home, with all of its amenities, the tentative staff, the location and access to beach and town, made our 50th Birthday celebration for me and 4 other friends absolutely perfect. There were 15 of us in our group, the rooms were spacious and gave everyone the ability to spread out and have their own spaces. We loved lounging by the pool, it was our favorite hang out, watching the monkeys in the trees, and then walking the short steps to the beach in the afternoon. We had the pleasure of having Omar and Ulysses prepare meals for us on several nights, delicious and so convenient. The photos and description of the house don’t do it justice…we always felt safe, with 25 hour security on site and someone always available to assist us if we needed something. The beds were insanely comfortable, towels good quality, kitchen well appointed. This vacation was about balancing relaxation and adventure, and this house was the center of that experience. The Blue Jewel is really the gem of Tamarindo! If you are thinking about booking this house for a larger group vacation, do not hesitate…Beatriz, Marianna, and Donna helped get us set up, answered all our questions, and helped us arrange chef services, excursions, and transportation to and from the airport with people arriving at multiple times from different locations. I highly recommend this home for anyone considering a vacation rental in Costa Rica.

Favorite Family Trip

Fourteen of us stayed here in July and the property and suppot staff made our bi-annual family trip one of our best! Usually a very active family we were quite content to stay 'at home' in Tamrindo appreciating the surfing, walking along the beach (at low tide), beautiful sunsets, preparing meals together in the wonderful well-stocked with hard goods kitchen, talking around the big dining tables, relaxing and having fun in the pool, having our own quiet space when needed in the many lovely bedrooms, etc. Over half of us are fluent in Spanish so talking with the support staff (who are WONDEFUL) was informative. I would suggest adding some additional information to those who book the property. Grocery shopping is easiy done in town. The kitchen does not include condiments so you will need to provide your own. The ice maker in the refrigrator provides a minimum of ice daily so be sure to use the provided ice trays. We did find the concierge, Marianna, only contacted us several days before our arrival so we had to go to Greg, the mgr, who responded quickly and thoroughly to our questions, We tried to arrange the use of a chef through her and were unable to ever get arrangements made. She seemed only interested in arranging excursions. But even with that one blemish we rate our experience at the Blue Jewel as one of the best of twelve other family trips over twenty years and would highly recommend it. We began missing it as soon as we boarded our planes.

Perfect "Beach Week"

If you are considering this house, do it! There were 11 of us from age 16-67. This house is the best of both worlds, privacy and convenience of a home and service like a hotel or resort! We rented two golf carts and easily navigated town. Upon arrival staff had fulfilled the requested grocery items and we were immediately ready for vacay! Always plenty of clean beach and pool towels. Chairs pulled out to the beach each day. Staff was quietly always around. The only mistake we made was getting massages from the ladies on the beach. This is NOT the Blue Jewels issue as the beach is public and the house staff offered to order massage services... but it was just so convenient to be lying by the beach or pool and be able to get a massage on a whim. On the last day, the masseuse took my daughters necklace off and didn't return. My daughter had fallen asleep and forgot... we left the next day and by the time she realized it was too late and the ladies did not claim to have it despite the house staff trying to retrieve. So that is just a warning because it is sooo tempting to just go to them. We really loved our time and would book again!!!

Beach vacation at its best!

The service was top notch from the time we arrived to the time we left. Security was great! The beach was very nice for the old and the young. The walk to town super easy and safe. Everyone commented that it was the best beach vacation we've taken. There was plenty of rooms and beds where everyone (16 adults & 2teens) were exceedingly comfortable. I would recommend this property to all that are looking for a relaxing and safe vacation. Would do it again in a heartbeat!!!!
