Apartamento independiente, recientemente reformado, de unos 50 metros cuadrados, con jardín-terraza de unos 40 metros cuadrados más. Una habitación doble, cocina americana con nevera y lavavajillas y dos cómodos sofás cama. Gran cuarto de baño con ducha muy elegante y cómodo. Hermosa vista, encantador e impresionante de la bahía de Giardini Naxos y el Etna que se alza majestuosa en el frente. Parking incluido en el precio. Cerca del centro de la ciudad, pero al mismo tiempo aislado y tranquilo. El centro en el coche es menos de un kilómetro. Un paseo a la Catedral, ubicada en la calle principal de Taormina, en pocos minutos a través de la utilización de escaleras públicas. Distancia desde el mar a unos 7-8 minutos en coche. Desde el centro se puede llegar al mar (Isola Bella) en teleférico.

Beautiful views.

Lovely views of Etna and the sea. Very good restaurants and shopping down in the town. You can get some extra exercise by taking the stairs down instead of driving

Fabulous views over Taormina and Etna

Gianfranco's property is situated high above the busy parts of Taormina, and has a lovely garden area with a shady patio. We had a very happy time there, which was partly to renew our acquaintance with Taormina after 17 years, but also to attend the Simple Minds concert in the Teatro Antico - amazing!! Gianfranco is the perfect host, most friendly and helpful and we fully recommend the apartment. There are steps down to Corso Umberto right next to the property, but be aware they are quite steep in places, and there are 250 of them - we counted ! This may not suit everybody, hence the 4 stars for Location. Otherwise - a comfortable bed, good rain head shower and adequately equipped kitchen - all we needed for our week. Thanks again, Gianfranco.

Perfect house, location and host!

My wife and I stayed a week in this fantastic house the end of june. The house was so nice and clean, the view was breathtaking, and Gianfranco was a fantastic host! Very helpful and giving a lot of informations about the area, and where to go for eating, purchasing groceries etc. Also good exercising when using the stairs, bringing you to city center in a few minutes. In addition to the nice private garden and terrace, there is a very big and wonderful roof terrace with an even more fantastic view! A very nice stay, and we will love to come back to this place! Hübsche Wohnung mit traumhafter Aussicht.

Die Wohnung ist sehr hübsch. Für zwei Personen perfekt. Der Ausblick auf das Meer und den Ätna sind traumhaft schön. Es hat uns super gefallen und wir kommen sicher gern mal wieder.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Great location, wonderful views, very comfortable and spacious. Gianfranco was the best host - always available to answer questions and so passionate about the area. His tips on where to go and what to do made the vacation for us. Easy walk down to village. Bonus was car parking at the apartment. Could not rate it highly enough as a location.

Une vue exceptionnelle sur l'Etna et la mer, du même coup d'oeil depuis un jardin et une terrasse privés, c'est exceptionnel et reposant. Malheureusement quelques petits détails nous ont gênés et pour le standing de cet appartement, cela aurait pu être évité comme un tuyau de douche percé. Mais GianFranco a été très réactif et a proposé des solutions pour régler rapidement tout ça. A cette saison nous avons pu récolter quelques délicieuses oranges, très juteuses, pour les presser chaque matin. Merci encore...

Gracious host; idyllic stay

The location is breathtaking; our host very generous and accommodating of our interests and needs. Views through lemon trees and cedars to the majesty of Etna and to the glistening bay. Interiors clean, refreshing, and, like the host, very welcoming.

Amazing place!!

The apartment has the most amazing views from the garden and from the roof terrace. It has everything you need for your stay, with steps down to The Corso Umberto next to it. Gianfranco was an amazing host, most helpful and great knowledge of the area. This place has the best of everything, it’s peaceful but close to the hustle of the town.

Great rental in great location.

The apartment is beautiful and our host Gianfranco was welcoming and helpful. As mentioned there are many stairs down too the town center but there are cabs and a local bus as well. Overall the location is perfect as there is a terrific view from the patio. We would highly recommend this rental.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Gianfranco’s property. It is a lovely place.

The property is beautifully located with wonderful views over Mt. Etna, Taormina, and the sea. The grounds are also beautiful with the orange and lemon trees laden with fruit for the picking. The property is comfortable, clean, well equipped and stylish-we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

A simply delightful apartment with a wonderful panoramic view

Breakfast on the terrace under orange and lime trees with sweeping views across to Mount Etna. Drinks in the evening watching the sunset and the lights coming on down in the town. The location of this apartment is stunning. With its own private garden and tree-lined terrace, it is very quiet and tranquil. Inside, it is simply furnished, comfortable and has everything you could wish for. Set half way up the hillside, it is about a five minute walk down to the town centre, though it is steep with lots of steps which will certainly keep you fit, especially on the way back up. You can also walk up to the amazing hilltop town of Castelmola in about 30 minutes. All in all, a most perfect apartment in a really beautiful town. Plus, very friendly and helpful owners. Highly recommended.

Perfect hideaway for two

It was our good fortune to stay at this delightful apartment for two with stunning views over Taormina, Giardini Naxos and Mount Etna. We were met by the smiling owner Gianfranco who showed us around. There is a private terrace with a small lawn bounded by pot plants and exotic shrubs - perfect for chilling after a hectic bit of sightseeing. Inside is all you need for a relaxing get away from it all stay - the air conditioned sleeping area is on a mezzanine floor over the kitchen, bathroom and sitting room area which has a ceiling fan for air movement. Previous guests have mentioned the steps down to Corso Umberto and the Greek Theatre and for some this could be an issue. They are quite steep and once was enough for us reasonably fit 68 and 70 year olds. We had a car - again it was so useful to have a secure parking spot at the apartment - and we simply drove down to the multi story carpark at either end of the town and for 7 Euros parked there when we were out for dinner. Gianfranco was a welcoming and friendly host and was always available to contact with any problems -not that we had any. I thoroughly recommend this lovely apartment for a relaxing taste of Taormina.

Beautiful apartment overlooking Taormin, fabulous views from the private garden and the roof terrace. Spacious and we'll equipped for preparing food. Gianfranco is excellent, good communication, helpful, responsive, good local recommendations. Private gardeb behind locked gates, very safe, good parking. Steps down to Taormina take about 5 minutes, 300 steps up or a 10€ taxi ride. We always took the stairs back after dinner, good exercise after dinner, pace yourself. Recommend a cannoli at the bottom (la Pignolata Guinnes) to fuel you up the stairs. Highly recommend to stay here - great value and great views.

A stunning setting and a very comfortable stay.

My first impression was stunning as soon as we past through the gates. We have been to Taormina before so new the area pretty well, but this was going to be a very nice place to stay. Gianfranco meat us at the apartment to welcome us, he is a very nice person and his English is brillant. He showed us around the apartment and upstairs on the roof where the views are stunning. The apartment is very clean and very tidy , I do love the personal effects that are left in the apartment makes it more homely to me. You have just got to have breakfast outside, after a few drinks at night there is nothing better drinking a cuppa looking over the hills and bays below you, then pan left slightly and there it’s is Etna in all its glory. The town is about a 10 min walk down hill or steps , it’s a hard slog back up though. The ceiling fan is a god send and is not noisy , we kept it on over night and it was fine. The only thing we found which was a pain and nothing to do with the apartment was the mosquitos so go prepared with bite cream and repellent you will need it. To sum up. A stunning view from a very nice a quite apartment, clean and tidy and very comfortable.

Taormina is Tops

The apartment is set up high on mountain behind Taormina, itself set high on the mountain. This apartment must have the only private patch of lush green grass in Taormina. It is lovely to feel it on bare feed after a hot day walking around Taormina and many stairs. This apartment also has excellent view of Mount Etna. The apartment itself is spacious and the lounge area is well lit and relaxing. Gianfranco is a lovely host and picked us up from the Giarre-Naxos train station. Because of this he was able to give us a bit of an orientation tour of Taormina which was helpful.

Super Ausblick, zentrale Lage dank der naheliegenden Treppen

Der Ausblick ist atemberaubend. Mit dem kleinen Garten ist es sehr schön. Direkt am Haus geht eine Treppe Richtung Innenstadt/ Fußgängerzone, ca. 5 Minuten Gehzeit runter. Einfahrt ist in der Kurve etwas versteckt, wenn man von unten kommt. Gianfranco war sehr nett, Kommunikation mit super Reaktionszeiten über Whatsapp. Die untere Wohnung selbst würden wir dann nicht empfehlen, wenn man sich viel drinnen aufhalten will, ist nämlich etwas dunkel! Ansonsten super schön, gute Küchenausstattung mit Spülmaschine, super praktisch. Ein Bäcker mit tollem Brot ist auch in der Nähe 300 m entfernt. Der Wochenmarkt ist auch direkt um die Ecke. Der tägliche Markt ist ca. 15 Minutenentfernt. Villa Zuccaro als unsere Lieblingspizzeria ist knapp 10 Minuten entfernt. Sehr zu empfehlen auch die Pasticceri D'Amore, insbesondere die Eis-Cannoli sind der Hit! Supermarkt auch ca. 5 Minuten entfernt in der Nähe Porta Catania (das recht StadtTor). Der tägliche Wochenmarkt hat super Qualität und ist hinter dem Pora Messina (das linke Stadttor) über eine sehr kleine Gasse auf der linken Gehwegseite (vom Porta aus kommend) hinter einem kleinen Supermarkt zu erreichen. Sehr zu empfehlen, ist alles spottgünstig. Bester Strand in der Nähe war San Marco. Alles in allem: TOP.

Beautiful apartment and a great landlord

We had a wonderful time at Gianfranco's apartment in Taormina. The flat is very cosy and nicely decorated. We enjoyed picking fresh oranges in the garden every morning, and Gianfranco told us that we can eat as much as we wanted. He was a very friendly and helpful landlord, always available, gave advice and he also came to bring us stuff we needed and drove us to the bus station at the end of our stay. The view from the garden was also amazing! A highly recommended place to stay in Taormina!

Breath taking views
