UBICACIÓN.

La Maestranza, Nueva Andalucia, cerca de Puerto Banus. Bienvenido a nuestro amplio apartamento de tamaño familiar ubicado en la popular La Maestranza. Que imita un típico pueblo de lavado blanco andaluz con jardines tropicales, naranjos y limoneros, buganvillas y palmeras. La Maestranza es muy popular entre las familias. Nuestra ubicación es ideal como base para visitar las atracciones locales junto al mar y tierra adentro a las montañas. Hay muchas tiendas, bares y restaurantes a pocos pasos de distancia. El famoso Puerto Banús, con sus playas, tiendas de lujo y un espectacular puerto deportivo, se encuentra a unos 20 minutos a pie.

ALOJAMIENTO.

Hay un montón de espacio para dos parejas, o una pareja con dos niños (10 + años), o cuatro jugadores de golf. Las habitaciones están en los extremos opuestos del apartamento, y con sus propios baños en suite, esto permite que dos parejas tengan total privacidad. Las camas se pueden configurar como cuatro individuales o dos individuales y una doble, o incluso dos dobles. Cualquiera que sea el arreglo requerido, puede estar seguro de que hay suficiente espacio para cuatro adultos. El amplio salón tiene dos sofás de tres plazas y puertas de patio que dan a la gran terraza. Aquí es donde puede disfrutar desayunando o tomar una copa de vino por la noche. Si el sol se pone demasiado, hay una persiana retráctil retráctil de cuerpo entero que hace que sentarse fuera sea aún más agradable. Ambas habitaciones tienen un baño con ducha sobre la bañera. Las habitaciones tienen cabeceras acolchadas, armarios empotrados, aire acondicionado silencioso y ventiladores de techo con control remoto. La habitación doble principal tiene acceso directo a la terraza. La cocina tiene muchas ollas, sartenes, cubiertos, lavaplatos, microondas, hervidor eléctrico, cafetera, tostadora, cocina halógena, horno, lavadora y secadora.

AMENIDADES CERCANAS.

Todas sus necesidades de comidas, comida, vino, leche, etc., están disponibles a la vuelta de la esquina en el supermercado Mercadona, junto con una variedad de tiendas que incluyen farmacias, peluquerías, pizzerías y cajeros automáticos. Más lejos, a unos 5-10 minutos a pie, se encuentra el centro comercial Centro Plaza, con otro supermercado y muchas tiendas demasiadas para enumerarlas aquí.

Excellent Accomodation

Location and property were ideal, presented in a well maintained fashion. Will use this property again and would definitely recommend to friends. Puerto Banus is about a 10 minute walk away and has an abundance of restaurants and bars to appeal to anyone's appetite.

Great appartment in Nueva Andalucia

The appartment is confortable, well equipped and quiet. Localisation is ok, close to supermarket and restaurants. Puerto Banus is at about 5 mn by car. We enjoyed the beautiful terrace with great view to the mountain. We recommend.

Lovely, spacious apartment

My boyfriend and I had a great stay in this lovely, very comfortable, clean and tidy apartment. The gardens of the complex are beautiful and maintained to a very high standard. There are loads of places to visit nearby and wonderful scenery as well. We will definitely return and would thoroughly recommend Mountain View to anyone wanting to visit the Costa del Sol.

Our apartment has been updated with free Wi-Fi and unlimited broadband. A new LED internet TV, with UK and Sport channels. New quiet and efficient air conditioning/heating. A very large sun blind for the sunny terrace. We strive to make everyone's stay enjoyable and hope they will want to book again.

Spacious and comfortable villa

As everyone has already said, this villa is very spacious, and well equipped. It is clear the owners actually use the villa themselves as the furniture is comfortable, especially the beds and the couches. If you have a car it is very well located, with days out to Ronda, Marbella, Gibraltar and even Morocco all within easy reach. Lots to see and do in the area, just wish we’d booked another week. Owner also very friendly, quick to answer questions, and even helped us out with a bit of research for Morocco.

mother - daughter time out

My daughter and I had a lovely time. The partement is very clean and spacious. The terrasse is absolutely great! We enjoyed our evenings so much. Linda is wonderful! And Chris a great host. Strongly recommend the wine shop/butcher located close to the supermarket. Just the greatest wines… Hope to be back soon. cxx

A great experience

The apartment at La Maestranza was absolutely perfect for us as a family of 4. The pool areas were great, the flat was nice and clean and spacious with lovely views to the mountain from the balcony. We loved everything about our stay. Easy access to anywhere locally via bus almost right outside the flat and also the local taxi service. We mainly spent our evenings in Puerto Banus but there are some nice restaurants heading in the opposite direction towards the aloha area. We would come back in a heartbeat. Thankyou very much to Chris for a wonderful stay and being really accommodating with check in and departure.

Perfect Apartment for Families or Couples

Just returned from a week in this apartment with my boyfriend and another couple. Booking this apartment couldn't have been easier and we were provided with lots of useful information prior to arriving. The apartment was perfect and the complex is clean and very pretty. The pools were not too crowded and had a good mix of sun and shade. There is a lifeguard at the pool which would be great for families with children who are old enough to swim alone. In the apartment the kitchen was well equipped and beds are comfortable. Air conditioning was very much appreciated and the balcony is shaded which made eating outside lovely. The location is great for visiting many sights in the Costa Del Sol. We were able to walk to Puerta Banus and a taxi to Marbella was only 10Euro. We rented a car from the airport which was well worth it between 4 of us as we also used the car during the days to visit various beaches and we visited Gibraltar as well (about an hour away). If I return to the Costa Del Sol in the future I will definitely stay in this apartment again - Great value for money.

The economic climate in Spain is putting alot of pressure on communities, especially spanish urbanisations or complex's. Therefore when someone is looking to book an apartment in Spain it's well worth asking for current photos of the apartments surroundings. We are very fortunate that our urbanisation is very popular, well run, and well supported financially. We always send up to date pictures which show the brightly painted buildings, well tended gardens, and of course the sunny weather that we get for much of the year. The people that look after the pools, 24 hour security, and general maintanance, all do a great job.

Short visit at Mountain view

Our friends and ourselves stayed at this place for one week This propery is well maintained and well situated near puerto banus harbour and the beach. Very spacious for 4 people staying and lovely views of the mountain whilst having breakfast in the morning.Most basic things were provided the only suggestion I would have is that provide extra bed sheets and some basic toiletries eg shower gel shampoo , conditioner and beach towels.This would rate this place 5 stars.I only made this comment as we stayed in a similar type of accomodation in Auckland New zealand were the experience was going from home to home with well thought out little details .This would prevent having to go to the super market as soon as you arrive.

Thank you for your very positive review. We are glad you all enjoyed your stay. Any extra bed linen required is available if requested. We use to provide beach towels, but for whatever reason, they either disappeared, became contaminated, or damaged while on the beach. We provide basic toiletries, soap, paper, towels etc, but shower gel, shampoo, is a personal choice best provided by the guest. We would not want to leave part used bottles of product in the bathrooms. We are glad this has been brought to our attention so we can make sure in the future guests know what is and is not provided.

Great holiday - almost perfect.

Let's be clear, the many positives far outweigh the odd niggle..... Well equipped, large apatmemt in a lovely quiet spot within the development. Nice pools, whole complex well maintained and lots of 'greenery. Supermarket easy stroll away and property perfectly located if you hire a car and explore other nearby town's. Sea is circa 20 min walk away which is fine and therefore away from the hustle, but decent walk uphill back. We loved our stay and would genuinely consider booking again ( we hired a car for full 2 weeks - July - and explored the region more widely which was spectacular). Two negative / niggles - the tv didn't work for 11 days out of the 14 - very frustrating and not as advertised ( issue due to local broadband refiguration I gather, which coincided with our stay - grrr ), and other one, thought apartment could do with a 'lick of paint', particularly the lounge area. BUT, BUT, BUT....overall, really enjoyed it and good value, especially if 4 persons stayed. Booking process easy and Chris (owner) and Helen ( local contact ) were very helpful. Put it this way, if I was looking to buy a nicely proportioned, two bed apartment, in this location, that was quiet, good pools and safe, I'd look no further. No big issues and I genuinely thought hard about whether to even mention the 2 'gripes above. Would certainly recommend. Enjoy!

Updated 20th March 2019. We have spent the whole of January and February 2019 at our apartment. During this visit there has been routine maintenance work done, including some redecoration inside and outside. The new TV system installed last year is working well and the fibre broadband has been upgraded to 200 Mbps. New quality bed linen and mattresses have been purchased to ensure our guests have a comfortable stay. This was our response in 2018. "We thank this reviewer as with all reviewers for taking the time to give us feedback of their stay. Regarding the disruption of TV channels, as soon as we realised there was nothing we could do to re instate the service, we ordered a complete new fibre broadband/TV package from a local reputable Spanish supplier. We are there for 2 months at the end of this holiday season attending to all necessary maintenance work."

Very spacious comfortable and well equipped

The apartment was very comfortable and roomy. Has a really nice balcony for al fresco dinning. The bathrooms are very spacious both with shower and bath. I found having both English and Spanish T.V really good for my nights in with my friends. The complex is beautiful with fabulous gardens which are very well tended as where the swimming pools. Neighbours and staff where all very friendly and welcoming. In all a perfect 3 week holiday.

Chris and Pauline's apartment was the exact description on the site. Very spacious and warm.

The apartment was spacious and big enough for a family of 4. The apartment was very clean and had everything required away from home. Very central to other Andalusian towns. No need to rent a car but good idea if planning to visit other places. Chris was very warm on the phone when contacted prior to our visit. Helen the contact person in Spain was very warm and professional over the phone. Directions from the airport and access to the apartment was straightforward. Thank you Chris and Pauline.

Great location, lovely spacious apartment

Had a week stay here and was fantastic. The apartment is large and spacious and tastefully decorated. Location is also great as only a 20 minute walk to Puerto Banus so you're not right in the thick of it. You can see the mountain from the terrace. Can't think of a negative. Pool area is well looked after, 24 hour security, good parking and a supermarket less than 5 minutes walk away. Communication with the owners was easy too. Great value for money.

Couldn't ask for a better place or location in a wonderful part of Spain, loved every single minute

From start to finish it was a home from home, It was very spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained throughout. The swimming pools,gardens and the complex itself was just beautiful. 24 hour security is available there should it ever be needed and are most helpful and friendly. Location to supermarkets and restaurants was within 5 minutes walk. The attention to every single detail was amazing and covered 100% to ensure a truly wonderful holiday. Only home and trying to plan our next trip out already and can't wait to go back.

Lovely large apartment

Large apartment with all the amenities you have at home. Enjoyed eating breakfast and lunch on the sunny balcony with the mountain view. We travelled as a couple so there was plenty of space in apartment, bed was very comfortable and shower warm and powerful. Wifi was good and the sofas in lounge comfy. Complex secure and there was a safe, swimming pool area was lovely. We did not hire a car the walked down to Puerto Banus was about 20 minutes, we got a taxi back at night for 6 Euros. Went to a couple of restaurants in land Pasta y Basta and Shango's both excellent and good value. Had a lovely meal in Oak and Top Thai.

Clean and spacious apartment in a lovely Andaluse style residence 5 min away from Puerto Banus

Thank you very much for providing us such a tidy, spacious and well equipped apartment. We traveled with 3 young kids and we stayed 8 nights. The kids appreciated a lot the heated pool ! We loved the very nice gardens with trees full of kumquat, the lovely terrace with a magic view on the mountains, the security, the complex Andalusian style extremely well entertained. We made a lot of visits in the region (Ronda, Cordoba a lot parks for kids) and the apartment is very well located. We had a very good communication with the owner and lady who is taking care of the apartment. We can only recommend it !

Thank you to this reviewer for confirming La Maestranza is great for a family holiday. We have a spacious apartment, big enough for two couples or a family with children, but it's difficult to show with photos. The area around us, Nueva Andalucia, is just getting better and better with fine restaurants, and shops only a walk away. Since the passing of our President David in 2016, La Maestranza has a new President, which means our community will continue to be well managed, secure, clean and tidy for all residence and visiting holiday makers.......

GREAT APARTMENT

We loved the apartment. It was bigger than we expected and was spotless. The decor is bright and airy and the apartment has everything to make it home from home. Very well maintained and equipped. There was tea and fresh milk and bread left in for our arrival, very much appreciated. The view from the balcony is lovely and very peaceful, The complex is beautiful, with lovely well maintained gardens, again spotless and felt very safe. The complex is very family friendly. there were lots of children but never rowdy. The pool area again spotless and sunbeds aren't an issue as people take their belongings when they leave, no bed hogging. The location is spot on. Very quiet area but within walking distance of Puerto Banus and some lovely restaurants if you go up the hill. Supermarket right outside and Saturday market 5 min walk. Mind you it is all up hill on the way back. We organised a transfer with Chris which was on time there and back. We used local buses to get around which are cheap and reliable once you get the hang of them. We visited San Pedro, Estepona, Rhonda and of course Marbella. All very much worth the effort, especially Rhonda if only for the dramatic drive. From start to finish communication with Chris and Pauline was first rate, always quick responses and ready to help. We didn't need to use the agent Helen for any reason only to check pickup time but it was good to know someone was on hand just in case. All in all we had a fab time at Mountain view and would definitely book again if we were in the area

Beautiful property with an amazing view!

Perfect for 2 couples or a family!! The pictures really don't do the property justice. It is a lot bigger then what we imagined and was incredibly clean! Helen was great at organising us a taxi and extremely helpful and efficient throughout our stay. She was always on hand to assist if we had questions. The taxi lady (apologies we forgot her name!) was absolutely lovely and gave us great advice about where to visit. Property is very close to the Mercadona and withing walking distance of the beach and port. We recommend visiting Old Town Marbella for some great tapas and also the Selwo Safari Park was great on our one cloudy day. Chris and Pauline are great at communicating with you and provide sufficient information in the villa. It would have been ace to have a BBQ as the smell of other BBQs from other balconies was very enticing however we understood your reasons why you don't provide one. In all the stay was very comfortable and we will be recommending the property to friends and would hopefully like to come and stay again in the future. Thanks!!

Every person that books a stay has the opportunity to access information from the "HOMEAWAY HOSPITALITY APP" on their Smartphone, Laptop, or Tablet about the apartment and local information. We love to be as helpful and contactable as possible, and we are constantly up dating the content on the "App". This reviewer is right about the website pictures. We will endeavour to replace with better ones. We are spoilt for choice of quality restaurants within walking distance of our apartment. We do everything possible to ensure people will want to stay again, and we sincerely hope this reviewer will return.

Two wonderful weeks in Andalucia / Mountain View

We (a family with two kids aged 16 en 18) had a wonderful time in the Mountain View apartment and we enjoyed the area very much. Helen, the local agent, helped us by contacting the internet provider when the internet connection was lost (the wifi connection itself was fine in the whole apartment as well as on the balcony). Chris and Pauline helped us preparing our trip by providing relevant information upfront and on request. The apartment itself was very clean and cosy. The kitchen is well equiped and both bathrooms were fine. The weather was too good to stay inside, so we didn't use the living room and TV much. Instead we had some lovely evenings / early nights playing cards and enjoying Sangria or Rosado on the balcony. The airconditioning worked fine in the whole apartment. Nueva Andalucia / Puerto Banús is a fine place to stay and located centrally to visit some very beautiful places. We recommend Málaga, Marbellla, Gaucín, Casares, Zahara, Grazalema, Gibraltar and especially Ronda and Mijas. The beaches we liked are San Pedro Alcántara (very quiet), El Castillo - La Duquesa (after visiting Gaucín and Casares), Casablanca (located on Marbella's Golden Mile) and Nueva Andalucia itself. The Mercadona supermarket is in walking distance and had everything we needed, including a variety of bread for a great breakfast. The restaurants at the beach side serve fine food (we prefered The Belvedere), but the customer service provided in less tourist oriented places like Gaucín, Casares and especially Mijas is much better. Although we didn't visit Ristorante Pasta Caffe (just go down Calle de las Ventas) ourselves, we could see everyone enjoying their meal on our 20 tot 25 minutes late evening walk back from Puerto Banús to the Mountain View apartment. We would surely recommend this apartment to anyone!

This reviewer has pointed out how convenient our location is for visiting many of the attractions on the Costa Del Sol when hiring a car. We are also within comfortable walking distance of shops and Puerto Banus. We suggest 15 - 20 minutes as an average time to walk to the Port, but because there are many interesting things to see along the way, it can take a bit longer. We try to make everyone's stay trouble free, but if the unforeseen happens, as with the WiFi on this occasion, our agent Helen and her team, are always available for help. The Costa Del Sol is as popular as ever, and there are many choices where to stay, but we have the advantage that everything is very established, with a mixture of residence and holidaymakers. We think it's fair to say that there is something here for everyone, any time of the year, and look forward to this reviewer returning.

Fabulous, spacious and spotlessly clean apartment

We loved Mountain View. The apartment was very spacious and spotlessly clean. It was well equipped with everything we needed. Helen was very helpful as the air conditioning was interrupted and she sorted it out for us immediately. The complex was very secure with a security guard on at all times. The swimming pool was the nicest we've experienced in a long time with a lifeguard on duty from 11am until 7pm and the water temperature was perfect!! Also, a big plus was that I didn't see one mosquito! I would highly recommend this apartment for rent. We did hire a car, which we found very handy and were in a position to explore the area. There were plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity and Puerto Banus was only a short distance also. Thanks Chris and Pauline for letting us stay in this lovely apartment. Fantastic Apartment

Myself and a friend booked this apartment for a short golfing break. On arrival we found it was much bigger than it looks from the pictures and we were delighted with the apartment and the location. We didn't have chance to explore the complex gardens or pool but did walk down to the front at Puerto Banus every night which took around 15 minutes and is a safe and pleasant walk. For a golfing trip there are loads of courses within minutes drive. The only possible downside we found was parking if you have a rental car. Although we managed to always park on the road outside the complex, we were out of season and I can see this may be an issue when it gets busier. The instructions in the apartment did make mention of a garage door but no one showed us this or told us whether there was a garage we could park in. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to book again or recommend to anyone.

As we are so close to some fabulous established golf courses, we want to do more for golfing groups coming over to Andalucía. We are planning to provide a set or two of golf clubs in our apartment to save people having to pay excess baggage costs at the airport. We already provide parking in our own space in the huge underground garage, but we very rarely use it ourselves because there is always a space in the side roads near our main entrance. But we do take the point raised by this reviewer that it could happen one day, and we will make sure all future guests are well aware of our own private parking space.

Perfect Apartment in a brilliant location

Myself and two friends booked this apartment for 5 nights for a girls holiday. On arrival we were amazed at how beautiful the apartment was. The pictures do not give it justice it was so much better! The bathrooms were brand-new and pristine as was all the furniture. The outdoor balcony was perfect for evening drinks and meals with a stunning view. The complex was very safe and secure and is in a perfect quiet spot just away from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Banus. We could walk to the beach and port which was only 15 minutes down a bank. You also pass the restaurant and club La Sala and aqua mist on the way. There were some lovely restaurants near by and a supermarket just on the end of the complex which was ideal. All in all this apartment and location made our trip and we could not believe how lucky we were with the price we paid in the height of summer. I did not deal direct with the owner, my friend did, but she said he was so friendly, kind and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend to friends and thinking about booking up again next year. Thank you so much for a lovely stay! Sam, Emma and Steph.
