Beautiful property

My family and I stayed in this house for the second time and enjoyed the property and the area very much. The fall colors are everywhere and the surrounding of the house is calm and very pretty.

Filthy greasy pan left in oven Dirty refrigerator Greasy utensils and dishes and glasses Broken glass on floor next to refrigerator Dead bugs in all the corners and on windowsills Generalized musty/dirty smell Picnic table covered with dried on food remnants Dishwasher unusable. Absolute Paradise!

House was even better than pictures and description. Very well stocked kitchen and inviting deck with gas grill! Amazing game room in basement which we barely used due to gorgeous weather and deck. A home away from home

We discovered the Catskills last year as we couldn't travel to Europe to visit family and loved it. So we decided to go back this year to revisit some favorite spots (Mine Kill State Park, Prattsville and Windham) and discover new ones (Middleburgh, Schoharie...). We couldn't be happier with the house we stayed in this year, which truly felt like a home away from home. So much so, we wanted to extend our stay. It is the perfect country house surrounded by a magical landscape filled with native plants and flowers, lovely ponds and cattails... we were also visited by woodpeckers, hawks and hummingbird. It provided us with what we needed: an escape from the city; a peaceful retreat in nature. We took full advantage of the deck and the swings, and got the BBQ working. The house itself is very comfortable, spacious, well equipped (though you need to bring your own towels) and fun. It is a charming country house with a soul, not a luxury retreat. The wifi worked impeccably for 2 adults working and 2 tween/teen streaming video as much as they could get away with. While the kitchen is well equipped, and served our needs quite well, it is a bit tired but the owners are about to get it upgraded. Bathrooms are also a bit tired but again this is a country house and we were all super comfortable. The king-size bed in the master bedroom was incredibly comfortable, so much so we want to get the same. We enjoyed wonderful evenings chatting or playing games in the living room by the fireplace, or in the basement entertainment room watching movies, playing foosball... We also loved the location of the house. While it felt isolated, it was only 15 to 20 minutes away from everything we needed. And best of all 4 minutes away from the Mine Kill pool. We got to pick blackberries in a nearby local farm, hike the Vroman's Noseloop Trail... Our host was very easy to communicate with, responsive, gracious and helpful. We spent 3 weeks in this house and miss it already. We hope to get to stay in the house again in a near future.

The property was very quiet and off the beaten path. Perfect for what we wanted. Access to the wedding venue near by was excellent. If we are in the area again we would return to this property

Run-down property, very disappointed

This was our first trip post-lockdown and we were really looking forward to it. The house looked great in the pictures but unfortunately it didn't turn out to be so :-( As soon as we booked, the owner sent a message that we have to bring our own towels and take our garbage home - I wish this was written on the VRBO site and I knew about it before booking. I wrote back that we were not planning on returning home directly (and our friends were driving back to NJ), so they let us keep the garbage in the garage before leaving, which was very nice of them! The house is not maintained at all and everything is falling apart! :-( There are no overhead lights in the bedrooms, and most of the lamps didn't work (not sure if it's the bulbs or sockets or the lamps themselves). Utensils were greasy, so we had to clean them before using them - the top rack of the dishwasher was wobbly, so we just used the bottom rack. Window blinds are coming off. There were no paper towels in the kitchen, and no extra toilet paper rolls (just the partly used one on the holder) or hand soap in the bathrooms. Water pressure in the master bathroom shower was low, and the drain was clogged in other bathroom tub. The lawn was not mowed, and pond dock in front of the house is broken and has fallen off in the pond. The back deck looks dated, the deck furniture set up on pic #15 is not there, and the arm of the rocking chair is broken. The basement looked good - the only place that looked same as advertised in the vrbo pics, but had a musty smell. Pros: The wifi is good, master bedroom is big, and the house is secluded.

Getaway

This property was a great getaway from the city, especially to spend the New Year. The property was beautiful for exploring and the house was large enough to accommodate seven people while providing enough space to not be on top of each other. The owner was very responsive and kept an eye on the weather forecast to make sure if we needed snow plowing services she could set that up for us.

Great family getaway

Our family had a great time, it was just what we all needed. The kids had a wonderful time getting outdoors. The home was great and spacious for all 7 of us. Looking forward to doing it again. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions and checking in and out went seamlessly.

Amazing place for a big family!

Truly a gem in the Catskills. The views are superb, the outside space is everything you need, and inside it is really a home. Lovely living room area with fireplace, well-equipped kitchen with everything you need for a big family. 3 toilets, 4 bedrooms, and a lot of character and ambiance throughout. Our favorite was to sit on the porch listening to the birds and the stream. We’d love to stay again!

Great winter getaway

The house was great for our two families and we lucked out with fresh snow on day two which allowed the kids to sled the hill in the backyard. Proximity to the local ski areas was great! It took a little time to figure out the downstairs temp on the Nest thermostat, but once sorted, the house was nice and comfortable. The beds we’re equally comfortable and we all had peaceful nights of sleep away from the city.

Very Beautiful Home

We stayed over New Year's Eve. Group of 5. Beautiful home located in very private woods. Clean home. Lots of games in the basement, very entertaining. No cellular service reception. There is wifi but not very good. But overall I highly recommend.

Secluded paradise.

This property was not actually accurately displayed on the site. It did not do it any justice! The house was gorgeous the country setting amazing. The area is exactly what we needed for this family get away. Do all of your shopping before you go and just stay there and enjoy each other. We have stayed in many rental homes on HomeAway and this by far exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much for sharing this home with us for our Christmas vacation.

Great experience

Quick communication, easy check in, and clean house. We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect solution for our group. We were also pleasantly surprised by the backyard. Great experience, would recommend.

Family Reunion

Our annual Family Reunion plus a 70th Wedding Anniversary made an enjoyable stay at this property. Plenty of room for the eight of us, many things to do in the area, beautiful private location. We enjoyed the back deck most of all.

This property is absolutely gorgeous! We loved the house and the personal touches throughout.

We rented this fabulous house at one of the hottest times of the year. Only a couple rooms actually have air conditioning, but the basement is nice and cool!

Spacious and quiet setting

Nice spacious house with all the necessary amenities. Owner was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. We were here for skiing but the area seem like there's a lot activities during the summer as well. I would definitely come back for a longer stay next time.

Love that country air

Stayed here with 7 people + 1 baby on a chilly October weekend for a wedding nearby. It was plenty roomy for all of us. The home is clean and comfortable, warm, sparse but in a cozy way. Adrienne, the owner, was very responsive. Communication was perfect. Didn't really get to explore the area but the country air smelled amazing, and the property felt very secluded and well taken care of.

Lovely property in the mountains

We had a wonderful stay in North Blenheim. Weather was fabulous and we had one swim at the local pool to keep cool! We also had a couple of nights star gazing it was just stunning everything is so clear and magical don’t forget to look! Property was clean and well maintained and customer service was excellent. Would definitely recommend we will be back!

Great stay! Spacious house with helpful owners

We had a great New Year’s Eve weekend stay at this house. The owners were helpful with any questions we had. The house was spacious we especially enjoyed the finished basement. The owners also laid out an extra bed in the bunk room so we didn’t have to put anyone on the top bunk which was an added bonus!

A peaceful gem accessible to local attractions

A wonderful large get away in a beautiful peaceful location yet lots of activities with a short drive. House is wonderfully equipped and very comfortable. Huge kitchen, separate dining room and large deck with comfortable sofas to watch the sun go down. Plenty of space for children of all ages - even a bar and disco ball in the basement. Hot sunny days and cool night meant perfect temperatures for everyone. Children loved the pools at Mine Kill State park and the kayaking. Super farms shops with local products and fruit picking. We will definitely return.
