Termites in master bathroom. Closet with AC unit and washing machine was wet the entire stay.Otherwise the unit was acceptably clean but needs a lot of love.

Excellent Experience

This is the second year in a row staying in this unit. Place was perfect again; amenities were great, and the host was awesome. I would definitely stay there again next year

Terrible

Disgusting. Rotten food in fridge. No running water. Full of trash. Had to scramble to find another place to stay on a very busy long weekend. VRBO should not allow this host to have a platform to rip people off. Disgusting.

Great location with bad management

It’s a shame that a unit in such a great location is managed so poorly. We spent our entire 5 day stay with our children without a working fridge. Needless to say most of our food spoiled and nothing was done by the host…no refund or credit given, not even a text apologizing for the inconvenience. VRBO has also been pointless to deal with as they have not resolved anything at all. Host is very unresponsive and delayed in her replies if at all.

Great Rental

My husband and I stayed at the property for a week. We absolutely loved the location and you could not ask for a better view. King size bed was very comfy. Quick walk to the pool and tiki bar. Apartment was clean and property manager responded to all our needs immediately. The microwave was not working but other than that everything was perfect. Would definitely book this jewel again!

Bimini 2023

This place is just what you’re looking for if you’re concerned about a good nights sleep and an amazing view. The condo has all the essentials and is clean. If you are the type that needs updated or a luxurious look for your Instagram to the place then skip out on this one and let someone else have it; otherwise, the view is unmatched as is the host’s hospitality. We will return in the future and look forward to doing so.

Horrible experience

Property is listed as a 2 bedroom and it’s not. Instead it’s a 1 bedroom with a pull out couch. Property had not been cleaned from the last guest that stayed there and the water had been shut off. When I tried to reach the owner there still has not been any type of response. When the unit was finally cleaned the cleaning crew took several of our items.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! When we arrived to resort, the check in process was simple with the office staff. However, there was no unit number for us to find our condo..finally found by checking our key on each unit door. Upon walking into unit, the floors were covered in hair, a huge pile of dirty clothes/towels in the hallway, food crumbs all over the counter and rug, butt cheek prints along with other residue on glass kitchen table, no trash can, and the bed was broken. It was apparent no one had been to clean since the unit was last rented. Contacted owner, who refused a full refund in order for us to find a different unit. Offered to book a room at Hilton for the night but never made the move to attempt to actually book the room( which we knew was already booked and was on north Bimini…we were with a group by boat in south Bimini). We had to make our own backup reservation for that night’s stay at our own expense. Owner continued to refuse to refund the entire stay. Owner had someone come clean the next day, in which somewhat helped the appearance/cleanliness; however, the room was still poorly cleaned/no trash can/broken bed. After returning home, the owner sent a refund for only one night’s stay without including taxes/fees for that night. No other compensation was awarded. DO NOT BOOK THIS UNIT.

Totally Misrepresented

The owner of this condo totally misrepresents what is offered in this unit (VRBO rep. also agreed). The listing states it has "internet". Despite repeated promises that the unit had wifi there was absolutely no internet. This was a concern because our pregnant immunocompromised daughter had gotten Covid and we needed to communicate with her. We contacted the owner who had no concern for our family situation and brushed it off with "that's the way thing work in the Bahamas". To get internet we had to walk 15 minutes each way in the hot sun to use the office wifi (during business hours). As a result of no wifi there is no TV service. The DVD player does not work, nor does the Direct TV box. The unit is in a state of disrepair with old chairs with the naugahyde flaking off it and cracked floor tiles. The door handle on the microwave is also broken. The unit is unsafe due to the wall unit air conditioner that can simply be pushed in to get access to the unit. One of the slider doors is stuck shut as well. During our stay the power went out for a day and a half and we were forced to sleep in humid 84° conditions unable to open windows due to the aggressive mosquitos present. Water was also out for a day. When contacted by VRBO, the owner flatly refused to refund any money for not providing what was promised. She was only concerned about herself. In my 56 years this was absolutely the worst vacation I have ever taken (despite the stunning beauty and charm of Bimini). The staff at Bimini Cove was absolutely wonderful and accommodating despite the fact that they really weren't obligated to help us since this was not a unit owned by them.

Nice unit.

The initial reservation process was great, from the first communication with the owner to the final payment. The owner was quick in responding to any and all questions. Then, upon arrival the wheels begin to fall off…quick! First, the unit was still being cleaned, not ready. Once the house keeper was completed and we got to the unit, the key cards wasn’t working because the electronic door pad was broken rendering the unit door unable to be closed or locked. Leaving all my personal property unsecured if I left the unit. More over, the A/C was not working and there was no hot water. I understand that things break, I get it however as I spoke with the main office, I was informed that because this was a private unit, they had no real authority to do much. As for the damaged door, they had informed the owner several months prior about the door however, she wasn’t willing to pay for the repair. I had spoke directly with the owner and advised her that the door must be secured or I will not be staying there and will take the appropriate actions to be made whole. The owner did make arrangements with the property and made arrangements to have the door replaced…two days later. The A/C was addressed later that day as well. Again, the unit is nice however the issues that the unit had, the owner had prior knowledge of and failed to resolve prior to my arrival. Two days later, everything was resolved, and I was pleased but did not appreciate the two days of my vacation staying at the unit in fear of loosing any of my personal property. Will not stay there in the future. No personal just not the way you do business.

Technology disconnected stay

The condo is well furnished with lots of personal touches. The view from the back porch overlooking the ocean is spectacular. If you like to be disconnected from technology this is the place for you because there is no wifi and the DirecTV didn't work (this one I didn't mind). Wifi is available at the main office but that is a 5+ minute walk each way, not so bad unless it is raining. For light sleepers this might not be the place for you, the bed is poorly assembled and makes loud squeaks at the slightest movement, however the wife and I found the matress to be comfortable. As for the bugs outside, makes sure you bring the best mosquito and noseem repellant you can find otherwise you will be eaten alive.

Terrible Experience

Day 1 and check-in went smooth, but thats about it. The place has 1 bedroom and a pull out couch that does not work. Waking up on morning 2 we discovered that the water had been turned off. Later that day after fishing all day we get back and learn that the power had been shut off and locked due to non payment of utility bills. We could not even stay at the rental for 2 days and had to completely reload the boat and go elsewhere. Finally the power and water was turned back on to discover that the keys no longer worked. We had to leave sliding door unlocked for a night until the office opened and new keys were issued. Basically wasted a lot of time during our vacation tracking down security, dealing with the office, loading/unloading boat 6 different times when we could have been enjoying the islands. 2 night credit was asked for, but still no credits have been issued by owner for our inconvenience. Dont waste your $$ on this unit

Second year in a row I rented this condo! Last year the AC didn’t work properly, however this year it was fixed. Also a window unit AC was added in the bedroom! The unit wasn’t cleaned before arrival but also several other units weren’t cleaned as well at the Bimini Sands. This unit has amazing views of the ocean and the beautiful Bimini sunsets! The owner is extremely friendly and responds to e mails and messages!

Bimini Vacation

Excellent little spot for 2 people right on the beach. Unit was nice with full kitchen and nice size living room. The views are to die for on the first floor unit. Definitely worth the money. The owner worked with us every step of the way. Bed was comfortable and you’re not far from the pool! Only drawback was the water pressure in the shower and we wished the water would of got hotter!
