Wooded Way, un hermoso lugar en el país, a 5 km del lago Perry

Cuando condujimos por primera vez en Wooded Way, sabíamos que teníamos que vivir aquí ... y eso fue antes de que viéramos la casa. Nuestra casa grande y hermosa se encuentra en una ladera, rodeada de árboles muy grandes, y está en el borde sur de 14 acres de bosques. También mira hacia abajo en un hermoso estanque de dos acres con agua clara llena de lubina y mierda.
Ahora queremos compartirlo con otras personas que solo viajan de A a B o con personas que solo quieren irse al país. Estamos a 3 millas de la rampa para botes más cercana en Lake Perry. Puedes disfrutar de ferias, espectáculos de automóviles y camiones, trillar abejas, vida en el lago y luego relajarte sentándote en tu terraza y observando la vida salvaje. Siempre hay garzas azules y halcones de cola roja esperando a que se forme un error. También hay un sendero para caminar de media milla a través del bosque ... ah, y un pozo de fuego, madera y leña suministrada.
Básicamente, tiene todo el extremo sur de la casa, (casi 1000 pies cuadrados) cubiertas, entrada privada con teclado, cuatro habitaciones, sala de estar, baño, estudio y habitación principal. El estudio es pequeño pero tiene una silla de masaje, una mesa de futbolín y muchos libros. El lugar está decorado como una casa de lago. Tienes tu propio termostato, wifi, Directv Now para noticias, deportes y películas, además de un reproductor de DVD. No tenemos una cocina completa, pero tenemos un Keurig para la droga más necesaria, un microondas de convección, un refrigerador, un plato caliente, una plancha para gofres con una mezcla suministrada, bocadillos y todos los platos y utensilios que necesitarías para cocinar ... Cuidaremos los platos.
Hay una cama tamaño queen en el dormitorio principal, y ese nuevo tipo de cama Murphy en la sala de estar, que podría tener el colchón queen más delicioso de toda la casa. Hemos intentado pensar en todo para que su estadía con nosotros sea muy placentera. Vivimos en el extremo norte de la casa ... estaremos cerca la mayor parte del tiempo pero no en tu camino. (Este no es un destino de fiesta).

Great Place

The place was one of the best we have stayed in. Clean easy to get to. It was the perfect place to just relax and enjoy the quite. We would book this place again.

Waffles with an amazing view!

Perfect for beautiful quiet getaway! You can fish, hike, watch movies, sit on the deck and read or watch the squirrels and birds. Fire pit for evenings! Excellent hosts! Waffles every morning if you dare! Truly enjoyed our time. We will be back!

Beautiful and Relaxing Vacation Spot

Our experience was absolutely amazing. The property is so beautiful. It's a great place to relax and unwind. The house is very nice and clean, they communicated with us and brought us waffle batter and clean dishes every day. And the waffles are so delicious too. We went out on the paddle boat and did some fishing and it was a great experience. There's a fire pit we sat at every night we were there, and they made sure we had plenty of wood to burn. I highly recommend staying here and enjoying all of the beautiful nature sights and sounds.

Clean, comfortable, relaxing, and killer fishing!

My girlfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful time at Wooded Way for our 3rd anniversary! The cabin was super clean and full of great amenities! Jack and Meg were incredibly accommodating and provide a very relaxing atmosphere. Their waffle batter was delicious! We had a great time relaxing in the comfortable cabin and the beautiful surroundings! It was also a very easy drive to Lawrence and the Lake Perry area for dinner, drinks, and nightlife. On top of everything else, the fishing was fantastic! I managed to catch 40 bass in two days and the little pond prowler boat was a blast to scoot around the pond in. Jack was even nice enough to drive to Lawrence to get a replacement drain plug to make the experience that much more comfortable. I didn't nab anything too big but I can't wait to return and catch a big bass!

Great location for relaxing and unwinding

This was by far one of my best experiences with Vrbo. The hosts are incredible. They are very welcoming and inclusive. All of our needs were met and went beyond any of our expectations. The Murphy bed is unique and really easy to set up. Great coffee and essentials. A little more than just the essentials was provided. All which includes life jackets, fishing equipment, bug spray (super important), fire wood (lots of it), and more. I loved the flexibility and willingness to work with us. We would love to return in the future. Our stay was over the 4th of July weekend and we were allowed to pop fireworks with our kids. We of course took our safety precautions by taking some distance and doing so safely. The hosts also allowed for us to have visitors (my parents came by as they live in a nearby town). They were only over for a few hours. I can say that I feel blessed to have found such thoughtful hosts. As a woman of color I am not usually very welcomed in little towns or places that lack colored people. That being said, it means the world to us to be treated so well. The wooded way definitely deserves a 5 star rating and is a place that my family and I would recommend to anyone and everyone who loves fishing or who needs a little escape. -Miriam Mendez

Gem in the woods!

First, extra little touches by the hosts go a long way with me. This cabin had a bunch! A bottle of wine for us in the fridge, chocolate chip cookies, a basket of microwave popcorn & breakfast items, AND 3 gallons of bottled water! Jack & Meg are hosts with the most! This cabin is connected to the hosts residence, but you’d never know it, because it was so quiet. It is nestled in the woods & the deck overlooks a lovely pond. Inside, the beds were quite comfy- even the Murphy Bed! The place was immaculate when we arrived! (Almost too much- it took a bit to get used to the smell of the cleaning products you used…bleach smell? Try Fabuloso for cleaning- it smells wonderful!) Anyway, yes- it was sparkling clean! And the sheets on the beds-so soft & nice! Where did you buy those sheets?? Although our one full day at the cabin was a rainy one, we still enjoyed our time there. Went for a lovely drive around Lake Perry, came back & napped, played games & then when the rain stopped, we went fishing! The fishing poles were all set to go with lures. I even caught a couple of fish! A little perch & a nice sized bass! The cabin is VERY well appointed and although there’s no kitchen, per se, with a little planning & forethought, you just don’t need one! One night we had a charcuterie type meal with some shrimp cocktail & the other night we ate spaghetti brought from home that we heated up in the microwave. Here’s the kicker…NO CLEANING FEE! WHAT? You should definitely rent this place!

Wonderful Trip

As two hunters who were traveling to Kansas for the first time, we had high hopes nut low expectations. Jack and Meg made us feel like we had a home base and we more than accommodating with needs that we had. Comfortable beds, hot showers and a place to kick off your boots and relax made the trip very enjoyable. Thank you both for your hospitality and when we return in a few years, we will be booking again.

Perfect weekend getaway.

We live in the KC metro and this was an amazing little place for two for a weekend away. It was an hour away and just perfect. The waffle batter in the morning, the firepit at night and grill for your use are all wonderful. Thanks for the memories!

Beautiful accommodations and very comfortable.

They provide a list of local restaurants and winery's which we found very accurate and helpful. The nearby lake is only a few minutes away and was peaceful and relaxing to kayak on. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely loved my time at Wooded Way!

Absolutely loved my time at Wooded Way. Jack was amazing and was always available for any questions. The waffles were an unexpected treat and hit the spot everyday. The pond was a great place to relax and fish with plenty of fish to keep you busy. It’s tucked away in the trees enough to really feel like you’re getting away. I would totally recommend this place if you’re going to be in the area.

Beautiful

The hosts were super nice even gave us a loaf of the greatest banana bread ever and some amazing bbq. The land was majestic went on the hiking trail twice and we caught tons of huge fish. It was a great weekend with tons of memories.

Heaven on earth

Located a short distance off of the highway, it is as if you have slipped into paradise at Jack and Meg’s property. Nestled into the trees and overlooking their beautiful lake it is everything I could have asked for and more. My hosts provided everything I needed including a step by step directional manual to answer all questions. I wouldn’t look anywhere else for a place to stay when returning to this part of Kansas!
