Dulce, acogedor y limpio estilo de casa de campo en el barrio seguro y tranquilo de Abbey Court, en las estribaciones de la montaña de octubre en los hermosos Berkshires. Convenientemente cerca de la autopista, pero fuera de lo común. Ubicado en el centro ya muy poca distancia en automóvil de los mejores lugares para visitar: Stockbridge (5 millas a la calle principal, ¡a solo 5 calles de mi casa!), Tanglewood (5. 5 millas), Berkshire Botanical Garden (7 millas), Norman Rockwell Museum (7 millas), Jacob's Pillow (9 millas) y más. Cerca de senderos notables para caminatas y ciclismo de montaña (Appalachian Trail, October Mtn, Ice Glen, Monument Mtn, Donato's Trail, Kennedy Park, Schermerhorn Gorge y más), canchas de tenis a la vuelta de la esquina, cerca de Cranwell (Lenox) y Greenock Country Club ( Lee) campos de golf, cenas satisfactorias en restaurantes como Baja Charlies (¡los mejores tacos de pescado del mundo!), 51 Park, Morgan House, Timothy (¡la mejor pizza!), Salmon Run, el famoso Joe’s Diner, y más. Casa pequeña pero espaciosa. Tres habitaciones y un espacio de oficina si necesita realizar algún trabajo. Televisor de pantalla grande (4 pies de ancho, 3 pies de alto) con excelente imagen en la sala de estar. Relajante patio trasero para una cómoda cena al aire libre con una fogata portátil al aire libre para disfrutar del hermoso follaje de otoño. Es todo lo que necesita cuando visita Berkshires, ya sea que quiera salir para divertirse o prefiera pasar una noche tranquila.

Ahora es un buen momento para visitar los Berkshires. El clima es más fresco y el follaje de otoño comienza a entrar en su etapa de gloria. Los tonos vivos de rojo, amarillo y naranja son impresionantes desde ahora hasta octubre. Se espera que el espionaje máximo de las hojas sea las primeras semanas de octubre en los Berkshires. ¡Existen numerosos sitios para disfrutar de todo y abundan las fabulosas fotografías!

Lovely house in the Berkshires

A great find for those visiting the Berkshires. A very comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood, close to key entertainment venues and restaurants, with tons of room for the two couples (with a bedroom left over). Checking in and out couldn't have been easier, and the host was extremely thoughtful.

Perfect home, Perfect loca

We stayed here in Oct. 3 adults and the home was perfect size. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked well. The heat was great, showers were hot. The location was close to everything we wanted to do.

Perfect house for our family weekend!

It's funny, because there can be a parade going on very close by on Main Street, but it'll be very quiet inside and out at my house! It must be the vibe from October Mountain. I'm so happy that you got a lot done. There's so much to do in the Berkshires.

Thank you Will. It’s true. There are so many beautiful trails nearby! The nice thing about my home is that even though it’s close to downtown, it’s very quiet and peaceful here. Even when there’s been a parade downtown, you wouldn’t even know over here by October Mountain. It’s a whole different world.

The Freckled Hen: Just delightful

The Freckled Hen was everything we wanted in a weekend getaway: charming, cozy and immaculately clean. Nancy our host made us feel welcome and comfortable. There’s a beautiful patio/backyard. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, just a short drive from Stockbridge. A perfect stay.

Perfect Berkshires getaway!

This was the perfect house for a long weekend girls trip! Plenty of space to spread out and also a great gathering space for meals and late night chats. The house is truly adorable, with lots of thoughtful amenities for the guests. And it is close to many Berkshires attractions, including adorable downtown Lee. Nancy was a perfect host - very responsive and welcoming. I'd definitely stay here again!

Great Location for Touring the Berkshires

This immaculate home is set in a quiet neighborhood close to all major attractions in the Berkshires. It is beautifully appointed and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. I love that the home is stocked with plenty of linens and extra blankets. Check in and out was easy. My sister and I verry much enjoyed our stay at The Freckled Hen. We would definitely return here again.

The Freckled Hen is the best!!

Absolutely wonderful, one of the best VRBO experiences I’ve ever had! I’ve stayed in many Vrbo’s, this was just fantastic! Lovely, comfortable home and beautiful yard. Quiet, cozy neighborhood close to everything. Host was super responsive, home was so clean with everything you could want/need. Can’t wait to return!

Charming Lee Home

We stayed in the Freckled Hen for a Ski trip with the family. The home was very clean and well maintained - plenty of amenities and totally comfortable beds and linens. The host, Nancy, was very kind, and took good care of us. She was a wealth of information about the area and good places to eat at and visit. Highly recomended.

What a treasure!!!

Great house. Was perfect for 3 couples coming to the area for Tanglewood! House is so well stocked, so clean and comfortable....beds were great! Nancy is a gracious host and readily available if needed! Yard is beautiful, with a barbecue and a firepit. We can't wait to return!

Wonderful home and host!

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The house is in a quiet residential area, and it is easy to get to so many Berkshire attractions. The kitchen / dining area was a great hub, and fully equipped. Very comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Nancy is friendly and responsive, making sure all details are taken care of. We will be back!

Tanglewood Reunion

Nancy’s house was the perfect place for a Brandi Carlile Tanglewood concert reunion with long time college friends. The house was perfectly set up for us with everything we needed for a relaxing visit and proximity to Tanglewood (15 minutes away) was ideal. She was helpful with suggestions for local restaurants and day trips. I highly recommend Nancy’s home for a visit to the beautiful Berkshires.

Lovely, serene setting and property

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at Nancy's home. We had everything we needed, three spacious bedrooms with queen beds, two lovely bathrooms, and a spectacular backyard setting. The location was perfect for our day trips to Tanglewood, Chesterwood, and the Berkshire Botanical Gardens. We look forward to coming back again soon! Exactly as advertised

If you read the (consistently excellent) reviews for Nancy’s house, you’ll see the same descriptions: clean, comfortable, great location, well-stocked kitchen, great communication with owner, etc. All are true. As a veteran visitor to the Berkshires, I would challenge you to find a better value.

Perfect set-up

We very much enjoyed our stay at Nancy's place. She was very responsive, and thoroughly answered all our questions. The property ha a nice back yard, and is on a pretty quiet street. It was less than a 20 minute drive to hiking, skiing, sledding. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was comfy. Our grandson loved "playing croquet" in the basement!

Family Time in the Berkshires

My mother, cousin and sister-in-law spent a delightful long weekend in the Berkshires. There was plenty of room. It’s a quiet neighborhood at the base of October mountain The cottage has three spacious bedrooms, two floors with two bathrooms. The kitchen and bathroom extremely well stocked with everything you can imagine!! The entire place was spotless !! Nancy was so generous with times of arrival and departure. The garden is lovely and it was so pleasant to eat some meals outside! Will definitely stay here again!!

This is the 2nd time we stayed at this property, this time for 6 weeks. Property is conveniently located to major attractions, hiking, charming towns. The main bedroom is located on the first floor, perfect for us; our guests had complete privacy on the 2nd floor. The owner is responsive to guests’ needs and went as far as to order a step stool so i could reach the upper shelves. Prior to its arrival, i located one in the basement. Nancy even picked up our mail in the post office.

Great friends weekend

Nancy, our host was very accessible and had lots of great suggestions for activities, restaurants and music. Her home is nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. Beds were extremely comfortable with nice linens. Plenty of towels and bath amenities. Lovely backyard and gardens (it was super hot this past weekend) so only spent time outside late afternoon and early morning. House is fully air conditioned and has ceiling fans in bedrooms. We had a great stay! Thank you!

My family moved to the Berkshires when I was in high school. I have the fondest memories of all four seasons in the Berkshires and it's where I raised my children. There's no place like it in the world. Former volunteer and advocate of the beautiful and inspiring Berkshire Botanical Garden not far from my home.
