This was a return trip for me, along with 4 of my siblings. Another great weekend for us in the Berkshires. The house is really comfortable for a group - lots of bedrooms, plenty of different places to hang out in large or small groups. And Jon was great to work with - extremely responsive. Would highly recommend this house for a visit to the Berkshires.

We had a wonderful stay! We especially enjoyed cooking in the modern kitchen and the amazing view. Very clean and well stocked, and a great location too!

We gathered a group of 8 from around the country for a celebration of life being held at Jacobs Pillow. The house was perfect for us - the gorgeous views of Richmond Pond, and the ability to kayak and canoe on the pond - added a level of peace we all needed as we grieved and celebrated a dear friend. The kitchen was perfectly stocked in support of many delicious group meals. There were just the right number and configuration of bedrooms and bathrooms, beds were super comfortable, separate spaces to hang out when anyone needed a little space, everything was spotless, and Jon was a phenomenal host. We highly highly recommend this house. Oh the apple cider and cider donuts from the nearby orchard were lovely too. One of the best house rentals I've ever booked (and I've booked a lot).

Wonderful, spacious, well-equipped house right on the pond. Very convenient to shopping, restaurants, Tanglewood, and hiking. Lots of privacy; very quiet. Zero traffic. Heard a loon on the lake, which had very little motorboat traffic.Nice seating on the two decks with views of the lake. Great to have use of the two kayaks and the (heavy!) canoe. As Jon warned us, the pond has lots of water weeds, so it’s not great for swimming, but the lovely Lenox Town Beach is within 20 minutes. Jon was a great host, responding quickly to questions. “Think of me as your concierge,” he said.

Richmond Pond

The property was beautiful with an amazing lake view. We stayed over Christmas with family so we couldn’t take advantage of the outdoor amenities but the house was cozy and just right for our needs. Location was good for access to Lenox and Pittsfield. John was an attentive host and easy to connect to for questions.

Perfect Vacation Home

We have stayed in the Berkshires many happy years. This was by far the best home we ever rented. It is a beautiful and well-planned house, unusually well equipped, and located within easy access of all the Berkshires has to offer. Jon is everything you want in a property owner -- charming and immediately responsive. We cannot wait to return.

Peaceful and Chic

This house is great if you want a serene lakefront getaway. The location is very convenient to Stockbridge, Pittsfield, and Lenox, but far removed from any crowds. The furnishings and art are exquisite, and the kitchen is stocked with plenty of spices, pots, pans, etc. Jon could not possibly a more gracious host and made sure all questions were answered promptly.

Beautiful stay on the Great Pond

Jon's house is fully equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay on Richmond Pond. We enjoyed waking up to the beautiful views all weekend, and took advantage of all of the amenities! Jon was a great host and readily available if we had any questions. We hope to come back someday!

Sibling Weekend in the Berkshires

4 of my siblings and I spent a wonderful long weekend at Jon's home in Richmond. He was an excellent host; he was prompt to respond to all inquiries, and very clear in all of his communications. The home is such a great place for a group gathering - there are multiple spaces to hang out and enjoy one's company. The views across the pond, with the mountains in the back, are spectacular. Everything was clean and well appointed; just as advertised. Balderdash Winery (within walking distance) was a fun outing. I highly recommend this listing if you're visiting the Berkshires.

Outstanding in every way.

From our first contact to our post-checkout, Jon was wonderful to deal with. The house was perfect for us---in fact, the best we've ever stayed at, and we've stayed at many over the years. The setting is beautiful and the house is well-equipped, clean and very comfortable---especially the mattresses! When I think of our time at Jon and Nancy's home, which was far too short, it makes me smile.

Our family, including my two-year old grandson, had a wonderful time and Jon is a terrific host. The house is very comfortable, modern, and easy to live in. There is so much light flooding in and the view of the lake and mountains from many parts of the house, and especially from the deck, was gorgeous. Also, the house is very centrally located in the Berkshires, readily accessible to Tanglewood, Stockbridge and many other highlights. We highly recommend this house.

Fabulous Lake House

Beautiful lake house, great decor, comfortable beds. This was one of the best stocked houses we've stayed in. Jon thought of everything. Loved sitting on the deck & dock - great location on the water. Brought our own paddle boards & used them when it wasn't raining. This was a very relaxing vacation for us. Thank you Jon!

Beautiful home, great location

My family and I loved our stay in the Berkshires. Jon's home was perfect for our group, and the location is beautiful to relax and enjoy the lake. Plenty to do in the local area, but also great to just be around the house. We'd love to go back!

Restful and lovely vacation

We loved waking up to the serenity of this gorgeous lake. Jon was the consummate host, taking the time to come meet us at check-in, walk us through the house, do last-minute deck cleaning (there are lots of geese on the water), and offer area suggestions. The house is supremely comfortable and well stocked. Five stars!

Beautiful modern home on Richmond Pond

The house is beautiful, modern, and very comfortable, with two king-size, one queen-size and two twin beds. Excellent location, short drive to Tanglewood, Berkshires Botanical Garden, several great hiking trails, historic homes, museums, and charming towns like Lenox and Stockbridge. The host was communicative and easy to reach. Best of all: the views of the pond!

Best Getaway Ever!

The lake house was perfect! It was so clean and comfortable! The decor and furniture reflects a rare thoughtfulness and care by the owner. He was available and responded promptly. We loved everything! We floated, fished, kayaked, and relaxed.

Outstanding stay during our daughter's wedding weekend

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property during our daughter's wedding weekend at Tanglewood. Jon was very communicative and flexible with our weekend needs. The home is located on a lake and is very serene. It easily accommodated 6 adults and was able to handle both our air conditioning and heating needs. The home is decorated in a very tasteful and comfortable manner. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property and highly recommend it. it is about 12 min from Lenox center and is well located to all activities in the area. Thank you, Jon, for a great stay!

We fell in love with Richmond Pond when my parents bought a home nearby in 1987. Years later we saw a For Sale sign while kayaking around the lake and fell in love all over again. We purchased the house as a weekend home and occasionally rent it when we 're not using it.
