Cómodos y acogedores somos, en el río, mi perrito y yo. Esta cabina deslizante de roca está situada directamente en el ELLIJAY RIVER, y lo tiene todo; mesa de billar, gran porche cubierto para comer al aire libre, terraza cerrada, patio cercado, jacuzzi, pozo de fuego, chimenea y, por supuesto, la música del río. Esta cabaña es solo para adultos (no huéspedes menores de 25 años) y no se admiten gatos. Los perros son bienvenidos sin tarifas de mascotas. La configuración de la cubierta / porche / patio cercado ofrece un área segura para su perro 3/4 del camino alrededor de la cabina.

Reviewer Comments: From booking our Cherokee Shoals Sliding Rock mountain vacation to check-out time, customer service and providing us with any necessary information was fantastic! We were given very specific driving directions which was extremely helpful due to arriving after dark. As we entered our cozy cabin, already lit up with welcoming Christmas lights, we immediately felt at home! Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of paradise where we could relax with our family dog, too! Upon daylight the first morning, it was evident that we were truly in paradise... the gorgeous setting on a flowing stream, we caught our first glimpse of the many deer that visited us everyday! We will be back soon!!!

The reservation process was seamless, with clear, detailed directions provided promptly, making it easy to find the cabin.Upon arrival, we were thrilled with the location—right on the river’s edge. Sitting in the rockers on the porch, listening to the water rush by, was pure bliss. The steps leading directly into the river made fishing incredibly convenient. Though neighboring cabins are nearby, they’re spaced far enough to ensure privacy.The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped. Our group of four, plus two dogs, had plenty of space without feeling cramped. The owners thought of everything for our furry friends, providing sheets to cover furniture, bowls, towels, and even a dog bed. Cooking on the gas grill and dining on the screened-in porch was a highlight, as was relaxing in the hot tub after a day of fishing. We also loved gathering around the fire pit for s’mores and playing pool in the upstairs game room.Cherokee Shoals Cabin was the perfect retreat, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for a relaxing, riverfront getaway!

We loved the view of the river, the cabin was clean and comfortable, and the extra attention to pets was awesome! Literally our ONLY complaint is the extremely rough gravel road leading to the cabin. We both had aching backs and necks from it, and that was with us driving very slowly. There’s a sign going onto the road that asks for donations to maintain the road…. All the owners really need to improve the drive. We understand that rain and snow will definitely cause ruts, we lived in the country on gravel roads for most of our marriage. But that can be repaired every year with proper maintenance. As much as we loved the cabin, we won’t be staying there again just because of the rough road and the way it gave me headaches and my husband a back ache.

Relaxing get away

Reviewer Comments: The property had a recent upgrade to the fire pit area, walkways to the front and fenced in yard, exterior fireplace and a lovely slate step down to the river - so even better than the pictures! The cabin was just as pictured-clean and well maintained.the property managers were friendly, responsive and a joy to work with. Sitting on the porch overlooking the river is the most relaxing experience. We basically stayed around the cabin enjoying the view and walks around the neighborhood. We saw deer next to our cabin everyday. I would highly recommend this cabin and company. Pet friendly-above and beyond!

Great stay!

The house was perfect for a group of four. We also had our four small dogs (note the front porch railing slots were wide enough that a small dog could fit through.) Very comfortable beds, clean and well stocked. We had a few issues with the hot tub jets and temps but still a lovely place.

Relaxing Waterfront Getaway

Each day started with breakfast on the porch while listening to the relaxing waterfront sounds of moving water over the rocks. The cabin is nestled in the woods with nature all around so enjoy the deer that come down for water and the squirrels that you can see playing in the trees. Our 2 dogs also accompanied us on the trip and the cabin is very pet friendly. There is an outside fenced area for them to run with access directly from the screened in porch. For those looking for a secluded cabin for a relaxing time, this cabin is a jewel.

Cute and cozy and worked for two adults and four dogs. Loved reading on the porch before it got hot and hot tubing at night. Brand new grill was awesome! We loved the wildlife! Overall attention to detail was VERY lacking compared to other cabins we’ve stayed at in the area. Run down bath and kitchen - broken towel racks, etc. No “quality” bath products as advertised. While we were glad there is a fenced in dog area, it is a dirt patch at the back of the house with the AC noise. It’d be great if there was a good DOG + HUMAN outside area. The washing machine is MOLDY. Very gross thinking about bed linens and towels washed. Broken vacuum machine. No hot tub towels. Windows need to be cleaned! Especially the upstairs ones - they are so dirty the view is ruined. You can’t play actual pool upstairs because it doesn’t fit in the space. The pool table was a main draw point for the rental so very disappointing. They should get a foosball or air hockey that would fit. More board games, blankets, etc. would be great. Had fun but wouldn’t return. Emailed host ahead of time for recommendations and never heard back.

We saw various wildlife just hanging out at the lovely house also enjoyed shooting pool on the 2nd floor... the house was described perfectly Sliding Rock Cabins made everything very easy they gave us great directions through the mountains we went stray to the houseI would definitely love to visit the area again and would definitely rent from them again The house was immaculate kudos to the housekeepers

Peaceful getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice comfortable cabin comfortable beds and furniture. Great view and sounds of river. Our dog loved the big porches all connected. My only issues were the hot tub was not clean and needed water and was told to fill it with hose that was on other side of the house. That should have been clean and filled when we got there for the Money we spent. Rocking chairs could use cushions to make more comfortable. But overall it was a nice place.
