Perfect Location

We love this property and it's proximity to the shops and restaurants at La Encantada. It's also an easy bike ride down to the Tucson Loop bike path.

Quiet comfort

Beautiful condo in a quiet area. Convenient to hiking, shops and restaurants. Lots of wildlife in the arroyo behind the unit. Great for birding. Will definitely stay again.

Wonderful condo in the foothills

Loved having all the extra room instead of a hotel. Wonderful quiet location. Very quick response to text. No problems at all. Enjoyed coffee on the porch looking at the mountains. We have family nearby so just used condo for late nights and sleeping. Very clean, stocked well, we will be back!!! Thank you.

pleasant stay

Great location, nice pool, and balcony views of the arroyo below and mountains beyond. If you're lucky you'll see a few javelinas below (safely below the balcony). The photos don't capture the private balcony and seating for two and nice mountain views. Well-stocked unit with all the essentials, and very clean.

Perfect weekend getaway

Couches were cozy, beds were comfy, awesome location and Mary was responsive and helpful. It was a great weekend getaway to relax. Loved that it was one level and easy to load/unload. It was a mom and son quick weekend together to relax and take in the sunsets and mountain air. We never even turned on the tv. Shops and restaurants are in walking distance.

Enjoyable Tucson Location

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. The good: This was in a nice location, and the views from the balcony were great. Easy to get to, and close to shopping and 30-40 minute drive to all of the parks. The not so good: The furnace was loud (and unfortunately we needed it), and the bed was harder than we like. We used the kitchen extensively, and it could have been stocked a bit better (more bowls, serving spoons, etc.)....but we made do. We would recpmmend this to others.

Very good stay

This is a very clean, compact, quiet, safe unit reasonably well equipped for a short-term rental. Check-in was very easy. For us, the location was inconvenient because we were visiting folks in another part of town, but we knew that beforehand and do not mean that observation as a criticism. Where the picture shows a tall red hutch in the living room, that is where the television and internet connection now are. Too, the floor plan on VRBO is different than there actual one, but not in any material respect at all other than, I suppose, the external patio, which in the actual unit is very small and square - probably 5' x 5' - versus the longer, rectangular one in the photograph. Nevertheless is was a very pleasant place to sit and have coffee and read the paper in the morning or enjoy a glass (or two) of wine in the evening. The I/N was excellent. The television was Roku, which we don't particularly like, because instead of the host paying to enable guests to enjoy a range of channels, guests have to have their own streaming subscriptions. While not that big a deal, it is a petty irritant given the nightly rate, particularly given that we are definitely "senior citizens" and not that facile with all of the technology involved. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom satisfactory, and the kitchen functional. The rooms are smaller than they appear in the pictures and, at least for us, to occupy the unit as two couples would be a mistake - it is really best suited for one couple. Neither bedroom had a dresser, but both had closets with adequate hanging and shelving space for unpacking all of the clothing and other materials we brought with us. The HVAC was very powerful. Good, on the one hand, as when we needed to cool things down it happened very quickly; but, on the other hand, noisy. So at night we simply turned it off and opened the windows. There are no traffic or other noises to bother one at night if the windows are open. As seems to increasingly be the case, despite there being a "cleaning fee". there was a list of "cleaning" things we were expected to do as guests. However, they weren't onerous and took us maybe 15 minutes. We try to walk 2x daily. For those who do, walking along Campbell Avenue towards the mountains was safe (good sidewalk) and scenic, as was walking the loop Table Mountain Road takes through the adjoining subdivision, a very nice 1.2+/- mile stroll. We would willingly return to this property.

This condo is compact.

Small but has everything you need. Good for 2 adults and a kid. But in my opinion too small for 2 couples. Location is good.

Great Stay!

Condo was very convenient to shopping, grocery stores, restaurants and hiking trails. Quiet safe neighborhood . View from our deck and watching the javelina family was a nice plus!

Enjoyed our stay

This property is conveniently located within walking distance to a grocery store, dinner options and shopping but is close to great hiking trails. The first floor access makes loading and unloading of luggage and groceries easy but the slightly elevated and protective deck on the back of the unit provides safe viewing of a surprising amount of wildlife and beautiful mountains. The kitchen is well equipped and plenty of linens are provided. The grounds and pool are very nicely maintained. We also appreciated the covered parking space. Mary was always responsive from the booking process through check out.

Foothills condo

Great spot to enjoy Mountain View’s and hikes, great restaurants and access to all of Tucson. This is my third or fourth stay and and each trip has been a very pleasant stay. Thanks Mary!

My brother and I were in town for my father's 80th birthday this week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. Mary was an excellent host and got back to right away when I needed some assistance. The view of the mountains from the back patio was fantastic!

Great Place

This condo was in the perfect location, you can walk to dinner and shopping at the la Encantada shopping plaza. it is close to hiking the pima canyon trail and the Catalina state park with lots of hiking. Sitting on the patio every night the Javalinas walked by. It was well stocked and very comfortable. The pool was great.

Great Condo!

My husband and I stayed here during our visit to Tucson. The condo was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed, bed was comfortable, very nicely decorated, and spotless. Great location within walking distance to restaurants and a gourmet food store. The deck views of the Catalina foothills are fantastic. Very happy with our stay here.

Terrific property and great owner

My wife and I stayed here the first week of August 2018 and loved it! We wanted something close to my beloved Catalina mountains and the view of Finger Rock and Table Mountain from the balcony is breathtaking. The space is just lovely, beautifully decorated and appointed. We were very comfortable here. We had a few friends over for a dinner party one night and they all commented on how nice the unit was. And one great feature is it is literally walking distance to the El Encantada mall, where you can do some high end shopping or enjoy dining at multiple great restaurants. Mary, the owner, did a great job of answering questions and communicating and made our first HomeAway experience a pleasure. Bottom line, we loved our stay here and would love to return on a future visit.

I grew up in Tucson and my husband in Buffalo NY. We have 3 children, a dog and 8 chickens. I work in the construction industry so I am always looking to improve the condo. My parents live in the area so I visit frequently and love staying in the Villas.

We purchased this property because we love Tucson especially during the monsoon season when the desert gets a well deserved quenching and lightning dances in the night sky. The location is the best Tucson has to offer and the proximity to the mountains is, well, sublime.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our unit is on the perimeter mountain view side of the Villas. I enjoy observing & listening to the desert wildlife just below our back patio. It is so peaceful and quiet I relish every minute of time spent here.
