Family Thanksgiving Getaway

From the moment we arrived we all felt at home! The views are amazing and everything was amazing! Fire pit with tons of wood and not to mention we were provided everything for Smires! We loved our Thanksgiving getaway!!!!

Perfect Weekend

We enjoyed every minute of our time at this home. There was plenty of space both indoors and out to make the most of our time together. The paddleboards and kayak were a nice addition and the views are amazing

Relaxation

This property was a very relaxing place to come home to. We had a group of 5 men working 10 hours per day. Each person had their own space, and the kayaks were a plus on our days off.

Everything was very nice! We came over Thanksgiving weekend and the host even had a Thanksgiving care package for us with a roasting an, basted, to- go containers, meat thermometer, etc. which was very thoughtful. Two things could have made it better- the dishwasher was old and in disrepair. The bottom was missing some racks and wheels and this made it difficult to use. Also, instructions on how to turn on the lights on the dock would’ve been helpful. We did eventually figure itout but it was at the end of our final night. Other than that, everything was excellent! Thank you so much!

Great location

House was everything and more. The photos don't do it justice. My husband and brother in law love fishing and man did they catch some big fish. We had a small issue with check in but was reaolved very quickly. One thing to note. There are a couple of changes in the floor height in the home. This was ok for my sister in law as she was in a walker but she stayed on the opposite side of the house. We will definatly stay here again. Close to restaurants espically Big Daddys. We eat here every time we come. Close to shopping and antique stores.

Wonderful weekend

Thanks for the fabulous stay with a gorgeous view of the lake and wonderful amenities inside and outside of the home with lots of gathering spaces. Everything was perfect and we hope to return again before too long!

The AC is very undersized for the size of the house. At one point reached over 80 degrees in the house. The owners need to look at this. Also I didn’t care for workers coming to the house unannounced to perform maintenance.

Lake Life

House was great - as advertised. Beautiful location and the house was perfect for all three generations of the family. Hardly explored the local area because we never wanted to leave the lake. Rented the boat at the house for the week - was awesome

Great long weekend

Beautiful house with outstanding floorplan. All the amenities you could want for a lakehouse. Even came with firewood for the firepit.

awesome house and location

What an amazing place to stay when you are in Lake Norman area. Everything you could ask for. Space, comfort, restaurants, shops, boating, etc. The house is incredible. We are a family of 2 older adults but there is enough room for a much larger family and nobody would get in each other's face. The best part is that it is all on one level. I was hesitant to go initially and I am very happy we came. It was the best trip in the last 3 years. I will come back again, for sure. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us.

Beautiful Lake Norman House

Lovely house, lots of room , great views of the Lake. We used the fire pit each night and roasted marshmallows and hotdogs. Had a wonderful time would definitely come back.

Pretty lake setting

The home was clean, and a comfortable size for our family group. It is located on the lake, in a quiet neighborhood, and a short distance from shopping. It had plenty to keep everyone busy, video games, board games, foosball, kayaks, firepit, plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the lake from lawn chairs or the decks. The only real down side to the property was the heating of the house. I am sure that for summer this home would be a 5 start location but in winter the house was very unevenly heated. The center of the house was too hot to be enjoyed while the rooms on each end of the home, the bedrooms, were freezing. At the same time that these two rooms were freezing the bedroom in the center of the home was so warm that a window had to be opened to be able to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils and cookware and all the appliances worked well, and were clean. I was cooking for 8 every day so this was important to me. There was also a gas grill on the deck that we used one evening. It was also clean and in good working order. Being winter we enjoyed using the fire pit almost every night we were there. It was a pretty spot to enjoy the lake. Overall, despite the heating, it was a pleasant stay.

Great Stay!

This was our first time at Lake Norman and this place was wonderful. The property was very nice and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. There is so much to do inside as well as out. Foosball, arcade game and plenty of games and books. We had 6 adults and had plenty of room and privacy. The outside is so nice. Great lake view, fire pit and fishing off the dock. Great time was had by all. I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful property on the Lake

Relaxing stay, we spent all our days outside swimming, visiting, and fishing in the early evenings. We ate many meals on the back deck, with plenty of seating. A very nice second deck too with comfortable seating. The lake was so nice...enjoyed by all of us. There were some water rafts too. The kitchen was well equipped, with plenty of space for preparing meals. Nice seating inside for meals and games too. One adult bedroom was small, but still nice and comfortable.

Fantastic House

We really enjoyed our stay at the house. There was plenty of room, the house was clean and had everything we needed. The property manager was very responsive to any questions we had. The location on the lake is fantastic for boating and swimming. I highly recommend this house!

Vacation 2020

We had a great time and the house was in a beautiful location. Kitchen was very well stocked. Outside grounds were shaded and pretty. We didn’t need anything but maybe a few more days!! ☀️
