Araminta on Thames "Minty" es una casa de vacaciones actualizada y espaciosa ubicada en Thames Street. Gran lugar para grupos grandes (pero no fiestas ruidosas, lo siento). 4 habitaciones + extra cómoda cuna doble para noveno invitado. 1er piso dormitorio principal y baño. Asientos de mesa de cocina 8. Dos habitaciones familiares. Todos los baños recién reformados. Patio privado. Ducha al aire libre. Porche cerrado con asientos para café de la mañana. Ubicación perfecta ... A poca distancia de tiendas, restaurantes, parques y mansiones.

Estacionamiento: la mayoría de los huéspedes se estacionan en el Támesis si hay un lugar o en uno de los lotes municipales y luego Uber o toman un bicitaxi de ida y vuelta. El centro de visitantes es el mejor lugar si no necesita nada de su automóvil. Como es temporada alta, el estacionamiento puede ser impredecible en la calle.

Karena was an incredible host from beginning to end!! She was super responsive before and during our stay. The house was super clean and close to all things Newport! Our group especially enjoyed the outdoor gazebo area where we gathered for meals when we chose to eat in. We hope to return someday soon!

We loved the location. It’s towards the end of the busy part of Thames so it is quieter and easy to find street parking. It’s an easy walk to town. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. You have to appreciate the quirks of an older building, but it’s charming and very clean. My family all thought the house and the location contributed to such a wonderful stay in Newport. Karen is a great communicator. We loved our stay here.

Walking location

We had a great stay in Newport, location was perfect for walking and access to restaurants, Thames & Mansions. Parking was difficult upon arrival first afternoon but easily found open spots each evening even though weekend. Bedrooms upstairs are best suited for kids, master was very comfortable and only bright room. House is not luxurious or modern but clean, plenty of linens and quiet for sleep. Location is the highlight.

Family vacation

Cute cottage in walkable neighborhood. Family with 4 adult kids worked nicely. Only downside was no driveway and required street parking. Some streets require permit and tickets issued if you don’t have a permit. Perfect house for a short stay in Newport.

Perfect Newport House

We had two families stay at the house and it worked perfect for us. It was clean and had everything we needed. Loved that we could walk everywhere. We would stay again!

Girls Trip Sucess

This property is in a prime location, super clean and charming, and was able to accommodate 7 ladies more than comfortably. The host was wonderful in proving recommendations and checked with us to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Highly recommend!

A 60th Celebration

Experience in the house with my friends was fabulous! I was able to communicate with Karina as often as I needed and she was always available. There were six of us and the bedrooms were large, comfortable, clean and cozy! Our power did go out one night but that unfortunately has to do with air conditioning units being on, and I also would imagine CPAP machines! Lol. It was a great location less than a mile from town and on a beautiful day you could probably walk or ride your bike there. I would recommend this wonderful home to a group of people or family!

Perfect Fit for our Family

My family, including several generations, stayed in this home for the weekend while in town for a wedding. The home was clean, beds were comfortable, and it had everything we needed. The owners were helpful and responsive. It's a beautiful home.

Great location

The property manager was great and responded promptly. The house was fine for our use. It could’ve used a few things to make it more comfy, such as throw blankets. The kitchen chairs were very uncomfortable. The chairs are all metal and made hanging around the table not fun. The backyard, while usable could use some improvement. The table and outdoor chairs were great for hanging out and there was a nice canopy. The lunge chairs were ok. The fire pit is unusable.

Great property on Thames St

We had a great time at this house! We had two families, both with small children and there was room for all of us. Great location for getting places in town too! The host was very responsive to our questions as well.

Exactly what was advertised!

Our group of four friends enjoyed our stay very much. The weather was hot, but the individual room air conditioners made it very comfortable. The host was very friendly and quick to communicate with. We would definitely stay at Araminta on Thames again if we visited Newport.

Perfect spot for a group!

My friends and I stayed here for 3 days when we came to Newport for a wedding and it was perfect. We were a group of 4 couples and 1 other friend and the space worked well for all of us. All the beds were comfortable, including the 1 person cot which is in one of the bedrooms. The sheets & blankets were so great we even asked the host where she gets them ha! There was an abundance of linens, towels and kitchen needs like glassware, plates & silverware. We all really enjoyed the backyard space and the sun room at the front of the house was perfect place to drink coffee in the morning. The location was stellar. A lot of easily accessible stores and cafes. The host is very communicative and made sure we were enjoying our stay. She even checked in on us after a huge storm that knocked out power on the block but luckily we didn’t lose electricity. I definitely recommend this property if you’re visiting Newport. It was a beautiful home and had everything we needed.

Great house and yard!

We had a great stay communication was great very quick and responsive. The house was clean and as advertised. Well appointed. The yard is awesome. Neighborhood is great and quiet but you are not far from all the restaurants and bars.

Stayed for the Easter weekend Races

Family stayed for Easter weekend and that races on the beach. Great stay, walked into town for restaurants and bars. Parking nearby on road, didn't prove to be hard to find. House is clean and well stocked and nice garden in the back for chillaxing. Kitchen was a good size for all of us to mingle at (6) and the two sitting rooms at the front of the house allowed us to separate and do our own thing as well.
