The house was great. Very clean, had plenty of room for a family of 8. All the things you would need to enjoy the stay. Short walk to the beach and a great little coffee shop. The host was awesome and communicated very well. Highly recommend it!

Another wonderful stay at Slice of Heaven

Very nice. Close to everything ( beach, pool, and shopping)

Very nice. Very well furnished. We enjoyed the covered porch seating and the courtyard with fire pit.

My family has been return vacationers to Destin and Slice of Heaven. It is such a wonderful home away from home. Very close to the beach in a wonderful neighborhood. We will be back!

Great location

Wonderful! We were in the area for a wedding and this house was perfect for our stay. Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Short walk to beach and also close to shopping and restaurants. The owner sent detailed information about the house and area before our trip, which was very helpful. Highly recommend!

Family Vacation

The property was beautiful and had everything we needed for the week! Kitchen was well stocked so that we could make meals at home when we didn’t want to eat out. We loved the fact it was just a short walk to the amazing white sand beach with crystal clear water! The location was also close to shopping, which made it nice for my oldest to walk to if he didn’t want to hangout with his parents at the beach. We definitely plan to return in the future!

Fun in the sun

The home is beautiful and very conveniently located to the beach, pool and gorceries. All the beds were very comfortable making every night truly restfull. We made all of our own meals in the gorgeous kitchen. We just had such a great week.

WE LOVED IT!!!

We absolutely loved our stay. Rebecca was incredibly helpful and kind, which made us feel right at home. The neighborhood is very nice and has a pool, however we spent most of our time at the beach (which is less than a block away). The location is perfect. There’s a Whole Foods, Publix, outdoor shopping mall, Bass Pro and plenty of places to eat within a mile. My family loved this vacation and we would definitely like to stay at A Slice of Heaven again.

Slice of Heaven

My family and I spent a week at Slice of Heaven and it was amazing. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to get us started on our vacation. We loved how close it was to the beach and how comfortable just staying in was. Any problems we had Rebecca was quick to respond and get the issue fixed. I definitely recommend staying at this beautiful home. The neighborhood is wonderful, and peaceful.

Another wonderful stay at “Slice of Heaven”!

My family is repeat renters at Slice of Heaven because we feel at home with the rental process and the comfort of the house. The proximity to the beach is basically a couple minutes until your feet touch the sand. The neighborhood is charming. The amenities in the house make it feel like home. We will continue to be return renters at Slice of Heaven for said above.

A beautiful and perfect house - you’ll be happy you picked it! The beach and the heated pool are ridiculously close (3-minute walks or less), and the neighborhood is gorgeous with great sidewalks and friendly permanent neighbors and renters alike. It’s a quiet spot yet so close to stores and activities that you truly get the best of both worlds. The wraparound porch on both levels is great for family games and reading, the beds are super comfortable, the bedrooms and bathrooms are all even more updated and freshly painted than some of the photos show. This was our Spring Break trip with our 23 year old daughter and 18 year old son, and there were plenty of things for everyone to love. We’ve rented from places in the past where the owners have a bunch of properties or use a management company, so it was a refreshing change to have Rebecca and Randy as hosts - very thoughtful and communicative and you know they truly care since they also vacation here. We enjoyed our stay and the break from the Cleveland weather back home, and can’t wait to return again someday!

Slice of heaven

An apt name for the house. Very comfortable, clean, and a well stocked kitchen with plenty of utensils and dish ware. Our whole family enjoyed the space. Each bedroom has access to the outside deck. The neighborhood is quiet. The walk to beach access is five minutes away. Stores and restaurants are a short car ride away. Hosts left plenty of information for local spots to visit. The pool is a three minute walk away, and most times we had it to ourselves.

Beautiful home- great host

Rebecca is amazing at communication! Her home is well appointed and comfortable. The neighborhood association is a bit intimidating but she lays out the rules up front so follow them! The only small issues we had were with the cleaning crew (one bed was left not clean and there was 1/4 roll of toilet paper total and no trash bags in any can except the kitchen) but Rebecca offered to resolve with a quickness. Location is excellent!

Perfect socially distant vacation

We decided to take a 14 hour drive to Destin to stay at this lovely home and spend time as a family, away from crowds and in our own space. We enjoyed everything about the home. It was beautiful, the kitchen was perfect & well appointed. We were able to do our own laundry, and even though it was just the three of us, make use of most of the space in the home. The host was lovely, easy to reach, kept in touch and even appointed the home with a pack and play for our son. We hope to be able to come back in the not too distant future! Thank you so much! Wonderful family memories made.

great location

House location was great, just a short easy walk to the beach and a grocery store was a  short drive without having to deal with Hwy 98 traffic. The owner was friendly and communication was easy. Unfortunately we were only there 2 days - damn Hurricane Sally. All three beds seemed different, but can only truly say that the king upstairs is really firm. Downstairs living room was comfy. I believe the owner said she has plans to update the kitchen soon, but it was cute and functional and stocked with basics. If you are a big cook, you may need to bring specialty items. overall would definitely recommend.

Quick walk to the beach

The house was as advertised. Communication with Rebecca was easy. It was actually closer to the beach than it looks on the map, which is a plus. Everything you need is less than a mile away. Our only negative had nothing to do with the owners or house but the HOA. They threatened to ticket us for being 2 inches past the fence line. It's a quiet neighborhood and it appears that the full time residents have nothing better to do but watch Renters. We'll be back to Destin soon.

Enjoyable place to rest and relax. House was clean, properly decorated, peaceful and safe. Everyone felt that the beds were very comfortable, bathrooms well lit and spacious, and ceiling fans were nice and (very important) quiet. Partial wrap around porch on first and second floors is a nice touch. Traffic through the area was minimal and neighborhood was quiet. Someone joked that the style of homes and the layout of the loop that the house is on felt like the 'The Truman Show' but all in a good way. Walking distance to the beach was easy and took just a few minutes to get there while taking beach gear with you. Very easy access to local restaurants and the Publix. You are in the middle and close to many venues but while at the house you don't feel like it. It's quiet and maintains its small town feel. Camille's at Crystal Beach restaurant is a treat and literally adjacent west of the loop. And the Crab Trap is a few minutes away and on the beach. So many beachside and waterfront restaurants are very close. Had a few days not on the beach due to the tropical storm so we spent time at a few beach bars watching the dramatic surf and then doing some shopping at Destin Commons which is just north. All in all it was a good trip and would stay at 'Slice of Heaven' again.
