We had a great time at this three bedroom property. Location is great in princeville, and we appreciated the 3br/3ba. Pool, while small, seems as good or better than nearby developments, and my kids had fun. Cleaning between guests is good, but property manager should have more frequent deep cleanings, including under beds and furniture. Like all the other units in this development (and others on the north shore of Kauai), the non-master bedrooms do not have a/c registers. We appreciated the fans to compensate for that, and also the closet with boogie boards, beach umbrella etc. Excellent supply of bath and beach towels as well. Property manager's communications about check in etc were excellent.

Nice spacious layout with great light. Easy parking. The furniture is comfortable without being stuffy. Kitchen is well stocked with supplies. A/C works well, but only cools the master bedroom and living room.

Dirty, needs help

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental was very disappointing - very dirty and furniture was beat up, curtain rod was missing (replaced with black duct tape to make it look like there was a curtain rod) I would not stay here again. It needs a very deep clean; dust caked on everything, mold all over the bathrooms, water continuously dripping from a vent above the kitchen table, live lizard (?) in the oven, fridge door handles sticky - so gross!! Location was great.

Great location with reliable parking and secure environment.

The house was a great layout for our group with the central kitchen and den and dining area. My only complaint would be that the furniture needed updating, including the resting dining chairs on the patio. The cabinetry in the kitchen wasn’t exactly clean. Either was the molding around the bathroom tiling for the tubs or the light fixtures and windowsills that were horribly dusty.

The location was perfect for our family. We appreciated the 3 bathrooms and bedrooms and nice balcony. Kitchen had what we needed. Beach towels and chairs were great!

Great Stay!

We had a lovely time at this place! The host was so accommodating. The first night they forgot the pack n play which they were super quick to respond and was able to get it to us the next day ( we were okay without the first night). We also had a delayed flight and we asked if we could have a later check out and they responded quickly and was very willing to allow us a later check out. The place was very clean and exceeded our expectation! It was very nice to have a bathroom for each bedroom. And to be very close to both Princeville and Hanalei made for a great location. They had lots of beach stuff we could use such as chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, a pool noodle, snorkel gear and beach towels. Seriously that was soo helpful and useful. We had the best stay and we definitely highly recommend this place and will keep this place in mind when traveling to Kauai again!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Communications with rental agency were on point from commitments booking, arrival and departure! Well appointed condo with everything you need to enjoy the beach to the pool in a very nice community. Great walking path through Princeville starts at the corner!

Significant concerns about cleanliness!

THE GOOD: Location was lovely, appreciated access to the pool, nice to have the availability of things like beach chairs & other equipment, loved spending mornings on the lanai watching the birds, & enjoyed having a bathroom for each bedroom. THE NOT SO GOOD: Overall this property was a big disappointment when it came to the cleanliness & 2 interactions with the host. We experienced 2 large (4 inches long) cockroaches in the house during our 3 day stay and a gecko in the bedroom. The drapes were stained/dirty, the curtain rods were not adequately attached to the walls & came apart, the fan/light fixtures were extremely dirty with bugs in them, surfaces like light switches & door handle areas were dirty, the carpets were quite dirty/stained, there were stains on the bed sheets, & the cushions on the outdoor chairs were quite filthy and stained. In addition, there was no BBQ as was in the picture and I would consider the A/C as only partial given that there were no vents in 2 bedrooms & the vent that there was in the living area was dripping water from the ceiling onto a placemat on the dining room table. We also found a partial fake eyelash attached to the kitchen scissors. As for communication with the host , there was no apology at all for the condition of the place. She simply referred to the contract & said we should have said something while were there & nothing could be done such as a refund of the large cleaning fee. Disappointing stay to say the least.

Everything you need

The apartment is very comfortable, in a nice quiet area. Liz was super easy to deal with. Loved that the apartment had a generous ‘starter kit’ with cleaning products, soaps, toilet paper etc. We LOVED access to the beach gear (umbrellas, beach chairs and snorkel).

Nice condo !

This is a great place to stay on the north shore. Plenty of room for family to spread out. We had everything we needed and it was easy to check in. Appreciate the beach toys and the nice towels.

Location in Princeville was great.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was spacious. We were allowed 40-minute early access. The unit was spacious and the beds very comfortable. The beach and pool equipment was as pictured.All of this said, there were some disappointing notes. The cleaning fee for this unit is $300. It should be refunded as this unit was far from clean and pristine. Unfortunately, the furniture was dirty, some worn and holes in the corner, as in the kitchen chairs. The patio furniture was so rusty on the bottom that it left rust and metal chunks on the patio floor when moved and sat in the chairs. The swivel chair cushions were filthy. The living room carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced, the bathroom shower glass in the master was full of hardwater and soap scum. Patio screen doors come off track. The screen had recently been replaced, but the excess screen was just left untrimmed around the door. The glass stove top needs to be cleaned and scrubbed, the tea kettle on top of it was filthy. We put it in a cabinet so we didn't have to look at it. The silverware drawers and shelf lining needs to be replaced. Baseboards had not been wiped and the white walls have handprints by light switches and on the walls by the entryways. The list could go on. Windows and blinds were filthy or unworking. We notified the on-island contact that there was only one key, which was the one form the lock box. For a 6-person condo there should have been a back-up key or second key. We notified her of only one key. She said the cleaning lady must have taken it and would have her return it. It never happened. Initial info at booking said the garage was available, but it was not. The owners car was in the garage. It would not have been a problem, except for the buildings were getting roofs replaced in the complex and the construction workers had supplies stacked in many of the parking places. We sent a communication at checkout, but never got a response.

October Visit

This is a very comfortable, well equipped second-floor unit in an excellent location. With more than 30 visits to Kauai, we have stayed in numerous North Shore vacation rentals -- and this was our first with air conditioning (partial). The TV in the master bedroom may need replacement as the volume varies between very low and blaring (without operation of the volume control), However, the living room TV works great!

Lost food

First it wasn't clean and we had to buy cleaning supplies. Second the frig wasn't keeping things cold and the freezer didn't work so we lost the food we bought. We were told to use the frig in the garage but it didn't work. I have been coming to Kauai every year for 20 years and this is the first time I have ever had to deal with anything like this . Very disapointed .

Located in the heart of Princeville this condo is within walking distance from many spectacular spots (Queens Bath, Hideway Beach) and short driving distance from Hanalei or Tunnels or Napali Coast State Park. Place is spacious and well equipped. Definitely worth staying in.
