The apartment was perfect for exploring all that central Paris has to offer. Lots of room and it was very comfortable. I loved the spiral stairway up to it.

Coordinating with Pierre was smooth and he was quite helpful getting us checked in with our luggage. The apartment felt bigger than we expected from the photos and was extremely well set up for a rental (lots of shelves and drawers for belongings, well provisioned kitchen, wifi, etc.) The street is lively, so the double-paned windows were welcome. Location was ideal, with quick access to the metro, shopping, and cultural sites.

Great location, lots of room

My husband and I spent a week here with friends who own a fractional in the building next door. Everything was great. Just be careful with the lock; one evening the key got stuck.

5 Star Apartment, 1 Star for VRBO and host

We rented this apartment May 25-Jun1 2023. The location is excellent and the apartment is spacious. The kitchen was quite new, and the washer/dryer was a nice feature. The bathroom was also nice, with good water pressure and hot water. You must climb 3 narrow winding flights of steps (52) to reach the apartment. It took 5 minutes of fiddling with the tricky key to get the door to open. There is no air conditioning, though the windows provide good ventilation. The Murphy bed is low to the ground and not particularly comfortable and has no night tables so you must set your items on the floor. Still, we would rent this apartment again. We did have an issue, though, so we would give VRBO and the owner 1 star. We accidentally locked ourselves out. Both keys were in the apartment and it was 10 pm by the time we realized this. The only way to contact our host was through the VRBO message portal. It took more than an hour for our host to respond: "I don't understand , you live 5 day in place and you have problem, right?" We messaged: "We’re sitting outside the apartment door and it is getting cold. Help!" The reply was " stop to drink please. All is ok. The cleaning lady is coming to 12am." He did not offer any other solution. We spent a cold and uncomfortable night sitting on the stoop of the apartment. Cleaning person arrived after 4. We were beyond exhausted. We missed our flight and had to find a hotel for the night. Our host was not helpful or empathetic.

Spacious studio in the Marais

The apartment is spacious, comfortable, clean and in an excellent neighborhood steps from the Hôtel de Ville and numerous excellent restaurants, cafés, shops, jazz and cocktail bars and parks. In fact, we hardly left the Marais since we could walk everywhere. Communication with the owner was excellent, including details regarding nearby metro stops and how to access the apartment on arrival. When we arrived, the owner provided us, a large bottle of water in the fridge and a bottle of wine. It was much appreciated. The kitchen is fully stocked and the espresso machine was perfect in the morning. The weather was amazing and we could have had a more wonderful experience. Thank you, Pierre.

Convenient, spacious and truly Parisian

The apartment was everything we could have wanted - bigger than it looks in the photos, in a charming neighborhood yet close to the Metro and an easy walk to the Louvre, Pompidou, d'Orsay etc. Yet a neighborhood feel so that the wine merchant and boulangerie rembered me. Having a kitchen saved is€20+ and hassle for breakfast, and having a W/D made packing so much easier. And Pierre-Yves was a responsive and helpful host.

Nice location

Nice apartment, bigger than I thought. Good location. Just be careful to no lock yourself out as the door locks by itself and a locksmith is super expensive 😜

Perfect location

My husband and I have stayed in this neighborhood before (this is our 3rd trip to Paris together). 3 flights up (52 steps) without elevator on a tight spiral staircase was daunting with luggage, but we adjusted thereafter. Close to Metro/bus, grocery stores, boulangerie, cheese and wine shops. Wi Fi was not strong, was constantly interrupted. I would suggest Pierre provide detailed instructions on use of washer/dryer and TV. We did not use dishwasher so a dish drainer would have helped. Upon request, he dropped off a reading lamp to use by chair/couch. Kitchen was adequate. Good soundproof windows so street noise was not a problem at night. We stayed 17 nights. With guests staying longer than a week, I would suggest a visit halfway through by the housekeeper to change bed and towels. We would definitely consider staying here again.

A wonderful stay in Le Marais

A wonderful modern studio apartment with a well-equiped kitchen, including dishwasher and washer-dryer. Everything we needed! In a fabulous and historic location close to restaurants, metro, and shops. Merci, Pierre for a magical holiday!
