¡Reserve su escapada de cabina y logre esa "montaña alta" que ha estado buscando! El aire es más fresco, el agua es más fresca y los árboles son más verdes aquí. Mountain High Cabin se asienta en medio de los altos arces, álamos y robles de la comunidad de Dillsboro Villas, a pocos minutos de la histórica ciudad de Dillsboro. ¡Esta cabaña de tres dormitorios y dos baños tiene capacidad para seis personas y es perfecta para pescadores, familias, aventureros y antiguos! Dillsboro es el hogar del río Tuckaseegee, donde se puede practicar tubo, balsa, pescar o kayak. Disfrute de tiendas de artesanía y restaurantes, excursiones de un día o paseos en tren. ¡Estar cerca de todo esto no significa que tengas que estar justo en el medio del ajetreo y el bullicio! ¡Tenga la seguridad de que cuando termine su día y esté listo para relajarse, puede hacerlo en un relativo aislamiento y aún así disfrutar de la proximidad a sus excursiones favoritas!

Mountain High es una cabaña de dos pisos con un camino pavimentado, estacionamiento para 2-3 autos, calefacción central y aire acondicionado, WIFi y una vista boscosa que es más serena desde el porche abierto. El dormitorio principal está en el nivel principal y alberga una cama de matrimonio. Los dos dormitorios de invitados están arriba y albergan una cama de matrimonio y dos camas de matrimonio. Disfrutará de la incorporación de juegos de mesa, DVD, barra de sonido bluetooth y una parrilla de gas al aire libre. Se debe informar a los huéspedes que no hay lavadora / secadora en el lugar. Si es necesario, hay una lavandería a pocas millas de distancia. Además, esta cabina no ofrece programación satelital, sin embargo, tiene capacidades de TV inteligente y ROKU para que pueda acceder a todas sus plataformas de transmisión favoritas iniciando sesión.

Fantastic cabin in the Smoky Mountains

This cabin is perfectly equipped. Super comfortable and clean. The beds are comfy. My husband and I both worked remotely for a few days while there and the wifi was strong and steady. the team is super attentive and responsive. Our fire place wasn't working and someone came out to re light the pilot so fast.This is a gem of a mountain getaway cabin and we loved it so much we already re-booked!

Nice place close to Dillsboro

Overall stay was really good. Only negative is water smell. High sulfer. Property management company was easy to contact and very helpful

Great getaway cabin

Enjoyed staying at this property. Had all we needed and conveniently located to surrounding towns. Very clean and plenty of space for our family of 4. Just make sure you can get up and down the steep driveway and switch backs!

Weekend Getaway

Mountain High was a very good rental with all the comforts of home and we enjoyed the space and seclusion being just a short distance from town and activities, but as with the other reviews for this cabin there are a few items would be renters may want to know regarding this property. Item one, the road/driveway to the cabin is paved and very steep with switchbacks but not very long. There is room for parking about four vehicles but you have to back out of the driveway and go up to the turnaround to head out of the property. If you have just one vehicle you can turn around in the parking area of the cabin, but this, and the backing option, is not ideal for beginner drivers or the vision impaired. Item two, the water source for the cabin must be well water and definitely has the smell of sulphur in it and was not pleasant for bathing or common uses. We used bottled water for drinking, brushing teeth, making coffee, etc. but the smell was a little strong when washing hands or showering. Not sure if the driveway or the parking can be made any better but there is technology available for getting rid of the unpleasant water smell. The cabin is fairly priced based on comparisons for size, beds, etc. Not a bad stay just had to deal with a few things you should not have too when paying this rate for lodging.

We enjoyed the cabin , there were some things that were wrong but quickly fixed when brought to attention to the office staff . We were happy with our stay and the cabin . I would suggest bigger garbage cans outside to accommodate large family’s .

It was great. Road was tricky driving a F 250 truck. Thankfully I had 4 wheel Drive. I don’t see a problem if you had front wheel drive car.

Great stay in fantastic location

This home was in the perfect location for us. Both Dillsboro and Sylva are beautiful little towns full of the greatest people. The team at Sundog were also so great to work with. They were quick to respond and made sure our needs were priority. We cannot wait to return in the spring or summer for more fun. Management Response: Thank you for your feedback! Mountain High did not disappoint

Mountain High was a great experience. We were in town for a wedding. It was close to the venue which made it very convenient. The house was clean and had great amenities. The drive up the hill, especially the first time was a bit of a challenge, even in our 2019 Toyota Highlander. Cabin access could be better

The cabin itself was clean, the beds were comfortable, and was home was spacious. The front porch is in desperate need of a cleaning, there were a lot of cob webs. The road access to get to the cabin is what will keep me front renting again, it is a way lane road that is very filled with curves and a steep incline. The parking area is also very tight if more than two cars are parked there, turning a vehicle around is also difficult. Since the road is one lane and a tight fit a U-Haul truck (front another rental cabin) got stuck in front of our cabin we were unable to access the cabin until very late Thursday night.

Nice but needs some TLC

Couple things. The road up is not for the faint of heart. It’s STEEEEEEP, narrow and has several 180 deg switchbacks. It’d be tough in inclement weather, I’m glad I took it in the daylight the first trip. You need good brakes and I’d recommend against a manual transmission The deck railing is very wobbly. It needs replaced for safety. The interior needs paint badly. The sheets and beds were clean as were the bathrooms. Some dust in the corners

Gorgeous home! Issues with management

House was perfect for our needs! Drive was a bit crazy but home was 10000% with it! Directions got us there with no issue! We love this area and the house location was perfectly nestled near Cherokee, Sylva and Dillon! Our issues were with house keeping being late and sitting outside when we showed up and after a long trip the last thing our kids wanted to do was wait in the car even another hour. The washing machine leaking which was kinda a bummer as we couldn't do laundry luckily it was a short trip. And the tv missing a remote so having to shuffle the roku into the living area and losing the sound bar since there was no longer a plug for it and the fireplace wouldn't work. Kitchen had EVERYTHING you may need which was great! There was a vacuum available for any small messes which is a must with little kids.

Never Again Will We Stay Here

The rental agency didn't send the information until the day we were to check in, and didn't send it until after we had left. The directions were a PDF attachment that could not be accessed from my phone. When we inquired about a folder or notebook with the instructions in it, the response was that there wasn't one at the rental house because of COVID. If COVID is the concern , why is this place so dirty? Accessing the directions required extra effort on our part since we had to locate a computer to log in from to review the directions (which were written for multiple houses so not all applied). When we arrived.... there were dirty dishes in dishwasher from previous renter; trash in kitchen garbage can from previous renter; coffee maker still had grounds in it, dog hair and dirt/crumbs all over LR coffee table (had to clean it before playing a game). A window blind in the bedroom was broken - cord was frayed - so it wouldn't close properly. The sofa smelled like dogs. The carpet has stains in many places. The shower curtain is moldy. Dirt/grime has collected along the baseboards where they meet the carpet - it needs a good vacuum with the vacuum crevice attachment. No dining table - just a narrow bar height table that cannot seat all four of us without moving the sofa (spare stools would need to be placed in the walkway behind the sofa) so two people sat with their plates in their laps. Very odd layout. Road/driveway is super narrow and "on the edge" - it's wide enough for only one car and there is no shoulder. If you encounter another vechicle coming toward you, someone has to back up until you reach a driveway to pull in to. The road is very steep with several bends. One bend is so sharp you may have to do a 3 point turn to get around it depending on the size of your vehicle (Mini Cooper vs Ford Escape). Definitely won't be staying here again.

A place to lay your head

The rental rate for the property fits it’s condition but to pay the same amount in a cleaning fee equal to a 2 night stay is ridiculous. I did not allow my younger child on the deck because the rail is about to fall off especially if you leaned too hard, the water had a very foul odor. Unfortunately I would not rent this cabin again however it serves its purpose in proximity to the location of the family reunion

Nice Place To Stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were in Sylva for my brother's wedding and it was exactly what we needed. Everything was clean and orderly, and it was well stocked with towels, toiletries, etc. The driveway was a little intimidating, but overall a really nice place to stay!

Mountain High

The house is nice and clean. Wasn’t hard to find. We are used to mountain primitive roads, so we didn’t find this the dive to the house bad, it’s paved. As stated in other reviews the highway noise is disappointing. It’s not so loud that it kept us from sleeping, but it did over whelm the sounds of nature. Being nature lovers we were disappointed. We were not able to use the WiFi, the login information we were provided did not match the service. We requested assistance but it was not resolved, we were not provided a password. The agreement and instructions for check in and check out are extensive, confusing and contradictory. We were given instructions to cycle the dish washer but when we opened the door, it was full of water. We avoided using much of the house, as the cleaning instructions and potential extra fees were unsettling. We vacation in the area often, this was our least favorite place to stay, but not because of the house isn’t nice, we just didn’t feel comfortable. We didn’t feel like we got what we paid for, you pay a hefty cleaning fee but are expected to clean before you leave. Or just try not to disturb anything which is what we did. We were told no laundry service, but given instructions to wash kitchen towels. After seeing the dishwasher full of water we just didn’t use anything that you’re expected to wash in the washer so don’t know if it’s operational.
