We booked this cabin for a quick weekend ski-trip getaway, and it truly impressed! Our 3 teenage boys absolutely loved the secret room, the marvel arcade machine, and ping pong table in the garage! During our stay we had a few questions and the owner was fantastic, responding quickly with solutions. Definitely recommend this host and location!!

Ping pong battles

The owners note the driveway is steep, and they are not exaggerating! It’s not walkable. But once you’re up, it’s a dream. Great playroom for adults and kids. Wonderful bedrooms. And the wildlife comes right up to the windows.

A fun time for a short weekend

The property overall was amazing. Everyone had fun with all the games that were at the property to keep them entertained. Everything was clean and had a good environment. The host was right about the steep driveway so don't let the pictures fool you.you.

We had a great stay at this fantastic house, it made for an ideal base on Massanutten resort with our 2 boys and extended family. The rooms were spacious and ideal for our use, and importantly there were lots of fun things to do when relaxing after hikes or other local activities. Our boys loved the table tennis table, some workout equipment (a few weights), dartboards, retro video games and also the number of board games with a large dining table to play them on as well as eat together. The very large sofa upstairs with the TV was great and comfortable as well! The driveway is very steep, but the advert is extremely clear on this and in the summer for us it was no issue at all - part of the fund and experience! Highly recommended and would stay again.

Amazing getaway

Beautiful house with everything we could need! Driveway was definitely steep but all of our cars and trucks went up and down fine in rain and shine! Would definitely book the house again for a getaway

Great Location

The communication was great with the property manager. The driveway is steep so if you don’t have a 4-wheel drive, I recommend parking at the end of the driveway. The property was very accommodating and had a lot of essentials provided!!! We enjoyed our stay!

Great House!!

We had a ton of fun at this home and the resort. We loved the basement area and ping pong table. The beds were very comfy. We parked our minivan at the bottom of the driveway and walked up the steps, which worked out fine. Have fun!!

Family weekend

We had a long weekend at your property. we enjoyed the house greatly, wish someone would have cleaned the porch and back deck some. But otherwise very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. Communication with the homeowner/manager went well

Family visit

I travelled from Florida with my dog for a family weekend get together. My 3 daughter and 2 of my grandkids came in from the DC area. Had a great time playing ping pong, foosball, and darts. We also enjoyed some of the resort amenities including the driving range and escape room. Nice place although the driveway was a bit treacherous especially after it rained.

Really great place to spend a weekend

Went out for a weekend with family. The house itself is spacious, well maintained, and a lot of fun: a secret room? amazing. The driveway is NO JOKE so be sure you can make it! Easy drive to Swift Run Gap entrance to Skyline Drive, and 1835 Smokehouse just outside the entrance to Massanutten had very good barbecue. Great time all around!

Awesome time

We had a great time! The doors for the washer and dryer unit were off so we hung them back up. We also organized the wires that were by the tv/fire place. The hidden room downstairs was our favorite hang out spot! Loved playing darts.

Perfect for Skiing and Family Time

We had a wonderful stay at this house. It had plenty of space for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed the games galore and the pretty view of the slopes from the driveway. As other guests have commented, the driveway is very steep, but there is parking on the road and halfway up. A set of stairs from the road half way up was also helpful. No problem at all. Thanks for the relaxing and fun vacation.

Extended weekend trip with family

This house was clean and had plenty of space. The beds were very comfortable. The house was situated right up against the mountain, so no one behind you, which was nice. The game room was awesome and we had a lot of fun playing ping pong and foosball. The driveway is insane. I knew it was going to be steep but wow. The grill outside was gross so we didn’t even use it and the propane fire ring was broken. Other than that it was great stay. We love going to Massanutten. There’s so much to do for everyone.

Rental

We love this house it's our second time booking it. It is very well stocked. There is plenty to do and we love that we can bring our pets. However, this time was a bit different with the clean aspect. It definitely can use a deep cleaning or at least more attention to cleaning. I found soda cans in the drawers when I opened them. There were cookie crumbs all over the couch. Shower liners need to be replaced and I had to wipe down the fridge and rewash almost all of the dishes we used. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your home.

Perfect Winter Getaway!

Our family winter getaway was perfect, thanks to this beautiful property. Our boys loved the basement as there were plenty of things to do; ping pong, foosball, darts, mini-hoop, weight-lift, etc. All three bedrooms on the main floor were comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean with plenty of towels. As others mentioned, the driveway to the house was very steep. We wouldn't recommend it for any old folks or people with problems walking up or down the hill. While we were checking out from the house, the front door knob came loose, and we had to contact the property owner to let him know the problem. The owner was very responsive in regard. Overall, we had a great time at this property and resort.

Great time!

We loved our stay- the location was great for visiting James Madison University. We enjoyed the downstairs bar area and seeing the deer in the morning. The house was well appointed and had everything you can imagine!! Once you get used to the driveway, you’re good. It’s very steep and takes some skill. You can park along the road if you don’t have a vehicle that is up to the challenge. :)

Fall break 2022

We came to hike and relax and this was the perfect house for us. The house was well stocked, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the back porch, darts, ping pong and board games. Our front wheel drive Minivan did not make it up the driveway. I think part of the issue was that we arrived after dark and it was too dark to see where we were going. There was space to park at the Bottom of the driveway and it all worked out just fine. Massanutten was impressive and I would recommend this house without a doubt.

Great Stay

The property was even better than advertised—absolutely charming. Loved the game room downstairs and the secret room. We were only there for a weekend, and so didn’t begin to have enough time to use all that this property had to offer, but will definitely have it on the list for a return visit.

Beautiful house!

The house was great with so many fun games for our family to enjoy. It was extremely clean, well appointed, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need. The driveway is no joke as noted in the listing, but we had no issues. Would definitely stay here again!

Great House!

My family stayed here so we could spend a weekend with my daughter who attends JMU. It was only a short drive from the campus and a very nice area for us to enjoy time together as a family. The house was clean and all of the listed amenities were available to us. We'd be happy to stay here again in the future!

A wonderful gateway

We had a great time at this beautiful place. The house is comfortable, well equipped, perfectly clean, with excellent beds... We had everything we needed. The place is also packed with games, which made our little ones overly happy the whole stay and turned out very helpful on a rainy day. Finally, the location is great, close to massanuten attractions. We hope to come back one day!!
