Property basically clean (floors, toilets and sinks) with the exception of the shower curtains and bathroom mats. I removed and trashed the worst of the shower curtains as it was double-hung, and we all cast aside the bathroom mats. The property is not well maintained. Outside looks neglected. Inside - the painted tile in the shower of bathroom number 3 was cracked and peeling (completely off some tiles), as was the base of the tub, and some of the grout was moldy - it made you feel dirty no matter how much you washed. Some of the living room furniture had weak backs; the kitchen table was heavily scratched; the kitchen cabinets and drawers were paint-bare in spots showing the original color beneath, teflon pans surfaces were broken down; the clothes dryer caused the laundry room to feel like a sauna (I alerted the host to this potential hazard); the outdoor metal tables looked as though they were collected from a discard pile - not what you would like to use or see in the photos of your gathering; the hot tub water was light green; the hot tub did not heat beyond tepid after four hours of heating; We paid for 17 guests yet the property was not prepped for 17 ie: there was not enough cutlery for 17 people to eat at the same time; no soap in bathroom. I brought all of these concerns to the host as a courtesy/safety, asking for nothing. Host was readily available. Host offered me a 50 refund if I gave a 5-Star review and he would give me a 5-Star review. I declined the offer.
