¡Bienvenido al Chalet de Chelsea!

Nuestra encantadora casa con estructura en A se encuentra en una zona boscosa en la tranquila ciudad de Dorrington.
El área es un destino perfecto durante todo el año. En Dorrington puede nevar bastante, por lo que es un lugar maravilloso para jugar en la nieve. La estación de esquí * Bear Valley * y el Spicer Sno-park están a unos 20 minutos.

Para los meses más cálidos, tenemos 2 bicicletas y 2 kayaks disponibles para su uso en uno de los muchos lagos locales, ¡nos gusta White Pines Lake!

El área abierta de la sala de estar / comedor es un lugar encantador para pasar las tardes mirando por los grandes ventanales, acurrucado frente a la estufa de leña o relajándose frente al televisor.

** Arriba: LOFT abierto clásico con 2 camas matrimoniales y 1 cama individual.

La COCINA tiene un lavaplatos, microondas, cocina a gas y horno, refrigerador, y está equipada con muchas ollas y sartenes, platos, cubiertos y accesorios.

Hay un baño completo con bañera en el nivel principal y otro arriba.

We had such an amazing stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect, and the atmosphere made it feel like a true home away from home. Communication with the host was smooth and they were super responsive and kind. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Weekend Away

The Evergreen cabin was just what my family needed for a quick get-away weekend. We enjoyed cooking in the well-stocked kitchen, we had fun walking the neighborhood, we played games on the patio and in the game room, we spent a day at Big Trees (and utilized the annual pass provided by our hosts), and celebrated a birthday and Mother's Day! The weekend was everything we had hoped it would be. Thank you Chelsea

Great weekend getaway

We had a lovely stay here and it was the perfect quick getaway from the Bay Area to play in the snow. We do enjoyed using the extra gear in the garage and the close location to the sno-park. Hope to come back again.

Great short getaway

Unfortunately we had smoke for the first 2 days, but the last two days were great. The property has everything you could wish for, and the location is great, close to lakes for kayaking, and just up the road from Calaveras Big Trees State Park. We would rent again.

Perfect place for a multi family get away.

We loved our stay. We got to see snow falling. Sled on a small hill right on the property. The game room is perfect for the kids to have their own place to play. All the kids are asking if we can come back and stay longer next time. Chelsea is very responsive and helpful!

Second stay, and love this place!

Our first stay was earlier this summer. We loved it so much that we decided to hook there again for a winter experience. So happy that we did. The large windows captured the snowfall and it was so cozy. We cooked every night, everything that you could possibly need was in the kitchen. The kids had a blast in the game room and we appreciated the short drive to Bear Valley to snowboard. Chelsea is a gracious and accommodating host. We will return again in the summer for sure!

Cabin and host are fantastic

The cabin was clean, comfortable, and has all the amenities you can expect, and way more. The back up generator provided uninterrupted power and worked flawlessly. The location is right where we wanted to be. Loved everything about it. Chelsea was proactive, letting us know about the power outage in the area (thanks to the generator, we didn’t even realize the power was out). She was very responsive to any questions, both before our trip, and during. The guide provided was very helpful. We will return!

Perfect Getaway!

We had an amazing trip to Calaveras! It felt so nice to get away and Chelsea made everything as easy as possible. The house is cute and very well set up. The kayaks were a big hit and we enjoyed using them at White Pine Lake, Alpine Lake and Spicer reservoir with a dog and a toddler! The pass for Big Trees was a nice bonus! The deck is beautiful and the grill worked well. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location is great. Chelsea made sure to check in to see if there was anything we needed. We can't wait to return! Highly recommended!

Beautiful vacation home!

Our family of 5 (parents and 3 kids ages 5-12) had a wonderful holiday staying at this beautiful home in Dorrington, CA near Arnold. It snowed heavily 2 of the 5 days we were there, and the house was warm and cosy, especially with the wood-burning stove. We went skiing at nearby Bear Valley (about an hour drive with chains on, but much faster when roads were clear without chains), as well as going down to Angel's Camp for a movie another day. We walked the trails at Big Trees State Park another day. The kids loved playing ping pong and foosball in the Rec room over the garage during down time. The kitchen was well-equipped even to cook a holiday dinner. Thank you!

Mountain retreat

What a wonderful house. Access was really easy for my mom who uses a walker and my dad who is 93. Everything from the driveway into the house and then the kitchen, dining room, family room, bedrooms and bathroom were all on level ground. Every possible amenity in the kitchen, day use passes for the state park and sno-park, bikes, kayaks and video games were all available. Plus all switches were labeled and there were nightlights so nobody stumbled in the dark. My sister used the 220V charger for her car. This time of year the roads, lakes and parks were empty and the locals seemed genuinely happy to have visitors. Awesome!

Great cabin for kids and adults

This is the second time our family stayed in this cabin. We love the game room above the garage. We just send the boys out there and us adults can enjoy the peace and quiet. There is so much for them to do out there: video games, a real PacMan stand alone video machine, air hocky, fuzball, TV with movies, etc. There is even a bathroom up there. The property has everything you would ever need to enjoy your stay. It was very clean when we arrived. Even though we did not need it for this stay, we do like the fact that it has air conditioning. We also like how environmentally friendly the cottage is. They supply bamboo toilet paper and paper towels and there is an EV charging station. Our family highly recommends this cabin for families.

BEST Cabin in Arnold!

I have stayed in many different cabins all around Arnold over the last 10 years, and I have found my favorite! This is such a wonderful place. The cabin has big windows for tree viewing, a great living room and dining room table, with plenty of room for everyone to hang out, a fully stocked kitchen and all of the necessary amenities to make your stay perfect. I stayed in the cabin with my 14 year old son and his friend and my 75 year old father. We all enjoyed playing ping pong in the game room and playing games at the big dining room table. While we were there, it rained for a day, so we spent the whole day inside, moving from the game room to the main house and we had a blast. When it wasn't raining, we enjoyed hiking in Big Trees and appreciated the guest pass that got us into the park. Overall, everything about the cabin was great - it was very clean, very thoughtfully set up and very welcoming. We will definitley be coming back!

Lovely Mountain Retreat

Evergreen is beautiful and comfortable. The setting is serene with lovely big windows looking out on woods. The owners have thought of everything. We were staying with our children, some of them adults, ages 15-22. The loft with 3 beds and a futon gave everyone their own bed. The two bedrooms have comfortable beds and convenient details like lamps with USB ports and fans. The kitchen had everything we needed, even good-quality, sharp knives! The game room above the garage is fantastic--not only foozball and pingpong but Wii and comfortable couches. The living room has a big couch that we could all fit on and the remotes are thoughtfully labeled with clear instructions in the manual so that we could access the free Netflix. Also lots of games and puzzles. We appreciated the Golden Poppy pass which let us get into Calaveras Big Trees State Park free. The hikes in the trees are gorgeous, and we went almost every day to swim in swimming holes in the Stanislaus River. We enjoyed paddling the two kayaks--they even provide straps to put the kayaks on your car--at White Pines Lake. There was plenty to do in the five lovely, relaxing days we spent at Evergreen from seeing the giant sequoias, to hiking the Arnold Rim Trail to San Antonio Falls Overlook, to swimming in the Stanislaus River and swimming and kayaking on White Pines Lake. We will definitely be back. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

Great place and great location

I can’t say how much the place has saved me on its game room. Kids went nuts about it. The place is very cozy and has plenty of supplies. One thing I may complain is that there is a typo on its addresses, so it took us some time to find the right place. Thanks for the online direction instructions and the address wasn’t too off for GPS to find. There is no cellphone signal, so couldn’t contact the owner. But other than that, I would highly recommend this place to stay.

Awesome house in the mountains!

Had a great time at Dorrington. The house was well equipped with everything we could have ever needed, including sleds, a BBQ, and all kitchen basics. The house was clean, beds were comfy, and Chelsea was super responsive.

Exceeded Expectations!

We were so pleased with our stay and so appreciative of the great communication with the hosts. The cabin is cozy, well equipped, ( loved all the convenient charging cords) and a great location for what we wanted. Our 3 year old grandson had a blast and it was so fun to see him experience snow for the first time. Our dog, Rugie, also saw snow for the first time and he was very excited to find a dog box full of doggy goodies and even doggy bowls! Additionally he finally met a dog toy that he couldn't destroy in 5 minutes, That red bone is awesome. The "library" and games were wonderful and my daughter-in-law ( from Brazil) was introduced to PacMan for the first time. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and we were so happy to spend time together and also have our space. My only suggestion would be to have a King size bed in one of the rooms. ( after 36+ years of marriage, we need a little more room.) Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us and my daughter-in-law is already talking about going again next year.

The house felt like home as soon as we walked in the door. It had at least one of everything you’ll ever need. Every detail was taken care of with a note or label, which made things so easy. It was clean and quiet too. The game room was spectacular.

Post New Years Stay at Evergreen

We visited in early January for a change of scenery and some fun in the snow. Our family has visited the Arnold/Bear Valley area for many years, and Evergreen was by far the cleanest and best equipped property we have experienced. The description online were very accurate and the place just felt warm & cozy. It was a great home base for us. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace and well equipped kitchen. If the description looks attractive and the home meets your needs, we strongly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful Cabin

Such a great stay! 5 star for sure! This cabin is close to so many things to do in the area. We just happened to be skiing this time around and it was amazing! The cabin is so comfortable and the Host is super nice and helpful! We Will be back 😃

Best place I’ve stayed at

The place was really tailored to their guests. Easy reservation process, check in and check out. There were also many different chargers available for many electronics which makes things convenient. We went during the winter and the kids had a blast in the snow making their own sliding trails. The game room was enjoyed by the kids and adults alike!

I am a Colorado native who loves to travel, hike, and spend quality time with family and friends. I love Dorrington because it gives me a taste of the Rockies, but is much closer to my Bay Area home! Welcoming guests to Evergreen Dorrington properties has been a joy.

Having traveled with our family to the Arnold area for several years we decided to make Dorrington our second home. We hoped to find a home that would give us 4-season fun and the benefit of that clean mountain air! Skiing, hiking, biking, and kayaking are what we love about the area, and now our dream has come true. We really like being part of the Arnold/Dorrington community and want to share our home with like-minded people.
