Great house in a great location. The house is clean well kept and the updated kitchen is great. The fireplace is awesome and the internet is strong. It made for a great getaway watching movies in front of the fire.

Wonderful weekend

I would definitely recommend this rental! It was so beautiful and the view of the lake was just serene. The cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed trying out the kayaks and the rowboat, and had a wonderful campfire to roast s'mores.

A quiet home on Wild Rice Lake

We enjoyed a lovely three days at this home overlooking Wild Rice Lake. So fun to hear loons, see a couple eagles, and delight in three river otters that happened past! Easy access to Boulder Junction and Manitowish Waters, and the nearby network of bike trails.

A Wonderful Stay

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Artist's Cove. Beautiful view of the lake in a tranquil environment. Used the kayaks and ate breakfast on the deck. The cottage was well appointed with comfortable furniture and—true to its name—abundant aesthetically pleasing artwork. Bathrooms were fine and the bed was so comfortable that we slept in every morning! The kitchen is fully functional and has everything needed for a pleasant stay. Plenty of restaurants, grocery and things to do within a 5-20 minute drive. Especially recommend Dixie’s Coffee, Little Bohemia and the Guide’s Inn.

Vacasa Mgt. very responsive when problems arose or questions needed to be answered day or evening.Suggestions:1. Add an iron and ironing board2. Please list all kitchen amenities, such as a crock pot which wasn’t listed in property amenities.3. Please correct the fireplace as wood burning. In the property listing it says gas fireplace.4. It would be good to know the make and model of the stove so instructions can be found on line. NO WHERE was there a name of the stove on the stove.

Worst condition I have encountered. Kayaks had no seats. John boat could not be accessed. Clean only in portions. Other areas dirty and unkept. We left after not being able to stay there. Have submitted refund via AMEX. The property management (Vacasa) is not VRBO and was totally unresponsive.

Cozy but lacking

We have done this a lot and all other places we have rented have been well stocked and extremely welcoming. This rental was not. No matches, no dish towel, no salt/pepper, no trash bags etc. Had the listing reflected this, we could have arrived better prepared. We found working with Vacasa to be not helpful and wish we had had a contact who was familiar with the property.

Wonderful summer vacation

The cabin was clean upon arrival and everything was as described. We had a wonderful week! Lake is beautiful! Sandy bottom by the dock was perfect for swimming. We had fun catching pan fish off the dock. We brought our own boat and the dock worked out great. So nice to have the boat landing so close too. Grill was nice and we used it a few times - could have used some grilling utensils. Fire pit was also very nice. One suggestion - clean the main windows for a clear view of the lake as it’s such a nice view.

I stayed five days and couldn't believe how great the view was. The home was immaculate. Great access to snowmobile trails. Watching the snow come down was an added treat. So incredibly quiet. Can't wait to come back again. May try summer next time!!!

Wonderful stay

We loved this property and will definitely be back! Very clean and updates that still kept it feeling like a cabin. Loved all the windows...great views! Only thing that would have really made it perfection would have been if they supplied firewood. We drove through some rough weather and decided to not go back out into the snow for firewood but it was tough seeing stacks of firewood at both neighbors next door. We will remember to bring it with us next time but it would have been a nice touch.

Quiet getaway

LOVED the view. The layout of this property is PERFECT for a quiet get away. We especially lived the wood fireplace. Only draw back is there was no directions on the mantel as there were in the kitchen. We have experience with wood fireplaces, so no big deal. Just for future reference would be nice. Once this property get finished with some of the upgrades that are doing, we would give it a higher rating. We will consider renting again.

Beautiful lake view from the house, porch and deck. Clean cottage with ample cookware we needed to prepare and eat our meals at the cottage. Quiet lake and road. Caretakers were attentive when I asked for a fix for the kayaks. I was unexperienced and disappointed with the type of kayaks you had available (holes in the bottom so you'd sit in water). Caretaker purchased plugs for one of the kayaks, but without an adult life jacket (boat cushions instead), I never felt comfortable taking it out.

This house was perfect for a weekend get away! It was clean and comfortable and well equipped! We enjoyed the dock and kayaks, and we were very pleased with the house. We would definitely return for another stay.

Great ski weekend

Perfect house on the lake for our family of four. Close to multiple cross country ski trails. No traffic or snowmobile noise. Very clean. Natural soaps. Heated porch very nice for morning coffee. Manager quick to respond to questions. Only criticism is no wood for the indoor fireplace or instructions (we called manager and got info).
