I wanted to celebrate my 60th birthday in a fun and relaxing way with my adult children, and this place turned out to be absolutely perfect. I was looking for a spot with plenty of room and privacy for a group of six, and this home delivered that and so much more. Every corner—inside and out—has such a cozy, welcoming ambiance that made us feel instantly at ease.The host was kind and quick to respond to any questions, but everything went so smoothly that our check-in and check-out were completely stress-free.Although the Lake Placid dam is still under repair, I booked knowing the water levels would be lower—and we still had a blast! We used the kayak available onsite and brought a few inexpensive floats for the water, which provided relaxing fun.This beautiful spot was everything I hoped for and more. Priceless memories were made here, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, joyful getaway.

Wonderful place!

Beautiful home and property. Spacious. Well equipped w/ cooking and bathroom needs. Short drive to commercial tubing but jumping in the river right on property was super fun as well!

Beautiful River Home

We visited the property with 4 couples total and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen and baths are well stocked and the home is very clean. Lots of beautiful landscaping outside. The river like most areas right now is low but there was still enough water to float and stay cool. Caleb was always available and came immediately to help us with Wi-Fi issues. Beautiful property with as much water as you can get until the dams are all repaired.

Incredible Property & Host

This property was INCREDIBLE. They had everything you could possibly need in stock! We packed the house with the full ten people allowed and all of the beds were comfortable. The layout of the house is perfect with multiple bathrooms and let’s be honest, you can’t beat that. I messaged the property owner a few times just to ask if we could allow a few visitors for dinner and they were super responsive. The house was VERY clean and everything was well taken care of. Thank you for an incredible stay! We will certainly be back.

Perfect Texas Getaway!

Everything about this property was perfect! It looked just as great, if not better, than it does in the pictures! It was very clean and the owner and property manager were both very nice! This is the perfect Guadalupe river getaway! We would definitely stay here again!

A unique experience

Overall, Honestly our stay at this home was a little bit of a letdown. The price did not compete with the amenities we thought we were receiving. We thought staying on the river meant we would not have to venture far to be on the river and enjoy the banks of the river in our own backyard. Instead we were greeted by mud so thick I lost a shoe trying to walk into the water. Instead of a Rocky river bank, it’s a quick sand like muddy bank. Maybe this is common knowledge to people who live in the area, but as tourist we had no idea. The home is not set up well for families, but could see it being nice for adult friends. The yard is not very safe for young children, our son almost drowned in the river, as he had gone outside in the backyard to play and was easily able to gain access to the dock and river. The internet went down during our stay, and that was frustrating. Our host was very nice and helpful. In the end we felt like we would have better spent our money staying in a cheaper property without “river access” and going to a tube rental service (which is what we had to do as we could not play in the river at the home and paid $270 a day to float the river). It’s a lovely home, the bed is comfortable and the atmosphere is nice. It just wasn’t the expectation we had when booking and reading the listing.

Great Weekend Spot

Great for a weekend getaway! Short drive to New Braunfels and Gruene. Very clean and inviting, beautiful outdoor space on the river, lots of places to hangout and enjoy summer.

Good Times, Great Space

My family spent Father’s Day weekend at the house and loved it! The group includes my parents, who are in their 70’s, my brother’s family, which includes two teenagers/high school graduates, and my husband and 11 year old daughter. Every age group loved this house. The kids took over the downstairs area, which we called “the cave”. When they weren’t in the water, they were playing video games down there. *Bonus* everyone had their own bathroom! We never felt like we were on top of each other or that there wasn’t enough space. It’s spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked and we used it a lot. The dock was perfect for jumping into the water, sunbathing, and we enjoyed as much time in the sun and water as possible. Everyone is talking about returning next year! Our only critique was the curtain situation. None of the curtains cover any of the windows—so when we were trying to cool off the living room, that was difficult. Also the bamboo shades don’t block the sun in the morning or the outside lights from shining in the room at night. One of my nephews flipped his feet to the head of the bed so that the sun wouldn’t shine in his face. This is a very small thing that wouldn’t prevent us from returning. All in all, a great time in a great place! Thanks for having us!

Nice property but needs deep cleaning inside and out!

Property is beautiful spot but river spot is too busy for floating in water. Decking boards need to be replaced at water and cleaning needs to be done. Pressure washing, window cleaning, mildew in shower and overall deep cleaning needs to be done to property.

Beautiful Lake House

This house is amazing and they thought of everything! Very nice hosts who communicated well with us and answered all our questions. The outside accommodations are just amazing. It was hard to make ourselves pack up and go home. You just want to stay and live there forever Highly recommend

Seguin Lake House stay

Stop looking at other houses this one can't be beat. Everything was great and the place looks even better than the pictures. We had a blast and had plenty of room to spread out. The house was incredibly well stocked and prepared and everything exceeded expectations!

Great Lake House

This spacious beautiful lake house made for a perfect lake getaway. The beds were comfortable and the lake access is perfect for jet skis, floating by the dock, fishing or just relaxing by the water. The house had everything we needed and we had a great time.

Another great family vacay!

Thank you for this beautiful property and allowing our family to enjoy another great summer vacation here! The house is beautiful and has all of the amenities to clean and cook as you wish! Wonderful Home on Lake Placid

Our family gathered at this home and had a wonderful time. The dock area is great. My grandkids spent so much time playing in the water and we even rented Jet skis. The kitchen is well stocked and this house is always so clean when we rent it.

Peaceful and beautiful retreat!

Our family stayed for an extended weekend to celebrate a family birthday. We absolutely loved our stay at this bungalow. The grounds are kept immaculate and the house was very clean upon our arrival. It’s apparent that this bungalow is well cared for and loved by the owner. Check-in and Check-out was super easy. The owner was easy to communicate with and was very responsive. Overall, our stay was one for the books. I highly recommend this property for your stay!
