Encantadora granja ubicada en Horse Farm

The Flying Duck Farmhouse es una granja restaurada ubicada al pie de las montañas Three Sisters, a menos de 6,4 km del centro de Dahlonega. Rodeado de pastos de caballos, bodegas, senderos para caminatas, cascadas, vistas impresionantes y una de las ciudades más encantadoras de los Estados Unidos. Pase un fin de semana en nuestro aire limpio de montaña disfrutando de las tiendas y restaurantes únicos en Dahlonega y las bodegas locales (Cavender Creek, Wolf Mountain, Frogtown y Kaya Vineyards están a menos de 8 km). O bien, puede disfrutar de caminatas, rafting, kayak, montañismo, tirolesa, pesca de truchas o simplemente relajarse. Nuestra granja es la escapada perfecta en una excelente ubicación.

La granja puede acomodar hasta 6 personas. Hay dos habitaciones cada una con una cama queen y un sofá cama en la sala de estar. Para que su sueño sea más cómodo, utilizamos ropa de cama PeachSkin y fundas de almohadas hipoalergénicas. Hay una cocina totalmente equipada si quieres comer. La decoración es acogedora con un toque peculiar para agregar algo feliz a su estancia.

A poca distancia a pie hay una gran terraza con vista a un hermoso arroyo, un lugar perfecto para buscar oro o tomar un cóctel. Puedes encontrarte con Katie, nuestro burro en miniatura, a quien le encanta que le froten las orejas o ver caballos pastando en los pastos. Amamos nuestra granja de caballos y disfrutamos compartirla con otros.

This is the most interesting, peaceful and handsomely decorated dwelling that we’ve ever visited. We have traveled across the U.S. frequently over the course of our marriage & have been to most states, including Alaska, even staying at Denali, NP. As senior citizens, we finally found the perfect place for us. This is a place to that must be experienced in order to be fully enjoyed. Mere words could never do it justice. The interior decor perfectly reflected the personalities of the owners and their love of their environment & animals. Love lives there. Merlin recorded our first ever capture of the golden/crowned kinglet (we’ve been birding for over 40 years, so that was very special!). Katie the donkey was the first inhabitant to greet us; she is so sweet. The horses were beautiful. Canada Geese paddled about on the pond, which we could see from the deck. This is serenity and beauty at its very finest, without any stuffiness or pretense. VRBO’s review process is a little confusing bc it asked us about our “winery” experience. We did have Christmas Eve dinner at nearby Montaluce winery, which was very good. However, the absolute highlight of our trip to north Georgia was staying at the Flying Duck farm/ranch (that and seeing grandchildren, of course.). Posting this review is difficult bc we don’t want anyone else to discover the Flying Duck. We want to keep it a secret so we can visit very often, but, alas, we must not be so selfish. Well done, Brenda & Mike.

Loved this cute little house! Clean, plenty of space for 5, stocked with snacks and waters. The hosts were very responsive. My son got to pet the donkey and horses, which was super sweet. Bed were very comfortable, even pullout couch! We'd love to stay again! Cons: small shower, but not as small as it looks. It actually wasn't awful, good water pressure. Very slow wifi, couldn't stream. We have Google fi network, which was extremely slow, with spotty network . My mom has Verizon and it worked well in the house.

Farmhouse was so incredibly cozy and owners were super sweet! We loved all the amenities and enjoyed visiting and feeding the animals on site. Make sure you arrive in the day time because it was a little tricky at night until we realized where it was. We will definitely be back for another stay within the year!

Don't miss this one....This stay was so wonderful. It was an incredible weekend getaway for our family. The cottage was so clean and perfect! Mike & Brenda were the perfect hosts. So friendly, treated us like family. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle. WE ARE ALREADY TRYING TO PLAN ANOTHER STAY.
I could wake up to this every day!

We came for a short trip to explore and loved it so much we stayed an extra night ! The house and property are even better than they appear in pictures. My kids loved visiting the animals and catching fish. We felt right at home and would love to return one day.

Our second time here!

Our family came in April for a quick weekend wedding, but knew we wanted to come back in the summer to experience more in the town. We had the best time doing all things! Dahlonega is such a sweet town. We even visited the community pool in town and paid a small fee to enter, highly recommend going in the summer if you have kids! Lazy river, water slides and pool were a hit! The property once again was amazing. The house is so clean and Brenda and Mike are amazing hosts. My girls loved seeing all the animals again especially Katie & John Wayne and catching so many fish! My 10 year old daughter reeled in a 5lbs 3oz bass! The property was great to relax on. We can’t wait to come back again, our kids ask often! I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking in this area.

Wedding weekend

We were intown for a family wedding and this was the perfect place for our family of 4! There was ample room to get ready for rehearsal and ceremony, plus we enjoyed the fishing, horses, and Katie! The farmhouse was perfect!

Excellent accommodation for nearby wedding.

The house was easy to find, very clean, decorated nicely, and had everything our family of 5 needed. We walked the horse farm property and our kids loved seeing the horses, donkey, and dogs. We enjoyed talking to the property owners and watching them ride horses before going into Dahlonega and attending our wedding 1mile away. Peaceful location and beautiful stars but close to many things to do. We would stay here again.

Mothers Day Getaway

My mom and I stayed at Duck Farm for a Mother/Daughter Mother's Day weekend getaway in May 2025. We had a wonderful experience! The farm house is exactly as pictured - well stocked, clean with a lovely, homey feel! Perfect location, very convenient to several wineries and downtown Dahlonega. Would definitely stay again!

Loved this little farm cottage!!

The property is beautiful, the house is adorable, the horses and mini donkey (Katie) are so cute. This was the perfect getaway! We did the Amicalola falls hike (about 30 mins away). Love this place! We will definitely be back!

Best VRBO Ever!

This VRBO should be rated 10 stars instead of 5! We had the best stay last weekend with our family. Brenda & Mike are wonderful and Katie the Donkey, stole our hearts! My children loved all the animals and caught SO much fish. The house is so clean and well stocked! Beds are very comfy :) We can not wait to come back again. We highly recommend staying here.

Last minute Birthday Getaway

Great Horse Farm and Hosts!

We enjoyed our stay here, in the country but close to lots of wineries, food and shopping! Loved that you can walk around the property and pet the horses and especially the miniature donkey! Hosts were very friendly and responsive!

Anniversary Trip

This property is awesome and on amazing property! Very spacious and very nice cottage! The only thing that we wish would have been bigger was the shower but we managed! It was an easy drive from town to house and the wineries were great! Highly recommend the Duck property! Thanks for a great time!
