Thank you for a wonderful stay. The owner was amazing, and the property suited our needs perfectly. The home was located a short 15 minutes from Cooperstown All Star Village which was great for us. Highly Recommend.

Perfect for All Star Village!

What we loved most about this property is it's close proximity to the Cooperstown All Star Village. In about 10 minutes we could be from driveway to parking lot. We also appreciated the rustic character of this property and there was plenty of room. The rooms are bigger than they appear in the pictures. Michael was super easy to work with and kept in contact with me about our stay. He was also very excited for us and our kids to experience CASV. I loved this personal touch! I would recommend this property.

The house left something to be desired

While we thoroughly enjoyed being with our family to watch our grandson play baseball, the house left something to be desired. There were loose floorboards in the kitchen and on the deck which were a hazard. The grill's burners were all rusted out making it a challenge to use, and the bedrooms were very hot due to insufficient air conditioning. You couldn't open the windows as the screens were in disrepair and let the bugs in. I think the house needs a little TLC to make it fit the description of a charming carriage house.

Rustic Comfort Cabin

Stayed for a week during June for a tournament at All Star Village. Three families slept comfortably and very convenient location to the Village and Cooperstown. Rustic charm and felt like a cabin in the woods. Owner is very responsive to questions. Great location for a week of baseball.

Fantastic stay at the carriage house

While the house is older, it is well maintained and provides lots of room and comforts of home

Perfect for those that are going to either Cooperstown parks. Easy to get to either. 15 minutes away from both. Easily accommodates 3 couples and 4 kids.

My overall rating is average...it was okay.

Located in a beautiful area but in the middle of nowhere. Refrigerator probably didn't cool below 60 degrees though the freezer worked. House has one window type unit a/c upstairs and it couldn't keep the house cool. Wifi was spotty at best. The place could use some updating. Steep stairs...I had young kids and elderly parents. Again, it worked, but my wife was not impressed and we won't stay again.

Great house in a nice area

First of all I want to thank Michael for being so accommodating. Our other house was cancelled three days before we were set to arrive and Michael worked hard to get his house ready for us on very short notice. The house itself is very nice and roomy, we had eight adults and two children the first weekend and everyone was comfortable (we used an air mattress downstairs for one person). Close to trails, a very nice park/lake/playground (Gilbert Lake) for the kids and a lot of small town charm. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Alexis. The property has lots of room with two large living areas and 4 bedrooms. It's very relaxing to sit on the front deck or outside by the fire pit. My kids loved making s'mores and roasting hotdogs. There is also a huge yard for them to run and play. The only thing we found a bit uncomfortable was the temperature in the house. It was very warm upstairs at night even with the air on.(no central air). I also suggested to the host about a screen door on the main door. Having a nice breeze come through the house would've been great and we would've been able to leave the air off more often. Michael the host of this property was wonderful in responding promptly to our concerns and I found it easy to contact him. The drive is scenic to Cooperstown and takes about 15-20 minutes. We also enjoyed having wifi in the house as our cell phones (AT&T and tmobile) didn't have service.

SUNY Oneonta Parent Weekend 2011

Just wanted to say thank you and all went wonderful during our Parent weekend trip...the house was a hit with all of us - my son also came and we all spent quality time - he leaves on Nov. 2nd for the US Navy! We enjoyed ourselves and really felt comfortable! I appreciate the ease that you and all this played in making a very memorable time for my family!

Beautiful house...

The inside of this house is beautiful! It is extremely spacious and clean. The inside looked recently remodeled with 2 great bathrooms, 2 large living spaces and an open kitchen. We had 8 people stay here for a week and had plenty of room! There are all the amenities that you need such as coffee pot, cookware, washer/dryer, telephone, internet, towels, lines, etc. We had everything that we needed. The owner of the property is courteous and promptly responded to all communication. The property was only 15 minutes from Dreams Park. The listing does not do this property justice? This property comes highly recommended.

We had such a great time here! Thank you for a wonderful location as we visited Cooperstown Dreams Park. It was perfect for 2 families to share. We got to keep our costs down and we all had our own space at the house! Thank you so much for having such a great VRBO to stay at! Clean and convenient to baseball and more..

Clean rooms and a nice location made this a lovely getaway destination. Baseball lovers like me enjoy the proximity to Cooperstown, and the cleanliness even impressed my neat freak girlfriend. Nearby excursion opportunities include Lake Gilbert, which was great for swimming. A really nice place to stay.

We had a great time in Cooperstown and the Carriage House really helped out. It was close to the ball fields and very easy to find. The house was roomy and had two living rooms to accommodate both families. Enjoyed the stay.

Great Properties

Our team stayed at both houses on this property. I personally stayed in the Carriage House, which was ideal. The Carriage House is very spacious, clean, the bedrooms are nice size. We enjoyed sitting on the patio deck and cooking out. We had 9 women stay in this house. The only thing we suggest is more mirrors in the bedrooms or other rooms (other than the bathroom) to help with getting ready. The only mirrors are in the bathrooms. It was only a short drive to the Dreams Park (approx. 13 min.). The owner was very responsive when we were making arrangements and provided great customer service. We would definitely recommend this location and stay here again if we come back!

Absolutely PERFECT!

Coming all the way from Texas, we could not have chosen a better and more beautiful place to stay! My whole family was very pleased and enjoyed our stay very much! Very clean, very comfortable and plenty of room for our family. Very convenient...only minutes away from the Baseball Hall of Fame; we were able to also enjoy shops & restaurants in the area. Located in a beautiful area with plenty of breathtaking scenary and views of the country. Highly recommend this house! Had an excellent time and would not have chosen any other place to stay!!
