The property is located close to town and grocery shops, making it easy to access for village events and convenience. The neighborhood is very quiet and foresty. My family had a wonderful time staying here. It was just too short to enjoy what the property can offer.

Summer celebration

Our family gathered to celebrate a milestone birthday, and to introduce the next generation to the wonders of the Adirondacks. The property fit our needs well. The space is very welcoming. The kitchen is roomy. We enjoyed meals on the back deck and in the spacious dining area. There are good spaces for time together as well as room to retreat. We enjoyed watching deer and listening to birdsong. The location is very convenient to many attractions.

Stunning accommodations in a beautiful area!

This was easily one of the best vacation houses we have visited! The living room was comfortable and large enough for all 6 of us to hang out together, and large windows to enjoy the views, sunshine, and stars (very excellent star-gazing opportunities as well).Communication with Steven was timely and friendly; he checked on us after we were significantly delayed due to winter weather.The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and an abundance of linens and towels for everyone there. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, spices, serving dishes, utensils, tupperware, etc. -- that plus having an Aldi right up the street meant we were significantly overprepared on this trip.Would absolutely recommend, what a lucky find!

Beautiful home with tons of thoughtful extras!

This was one of the best VRBOs I’ve ever rented. Spacious yet cozy, beautifully quiet neighborhood and close to shops and places to eat. My family (ages ranging from grandparents to infants) enjoyed the house and the amenities. Directions and instructions were clear and helpful and we were able to relax. The beautiful primary bedroom suite was a great place for us to sleep and have quiet time with our infant when needed. The decks are stunning and opening up the doors created great fresh air flow. I highly recommend this house. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful home!

Pictures definitely do not do this home justice. It was absolutely beautiful, very clean and spacious! There was more than enough room for our party of 10, and anything we needed was on hand. The host was very responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend this home to anyone.

6 of us stayed at the house, it was very roomy and very clean. Our host provided great directions to work everything. The house had ample supplies of everything that everyone would need. We had a little concern with the handrails on the front steps but certainly not a deterrent. We all afresh that if the house it available and the same 6 of us are coming we would like to stay there

Perfect!

The photos don't do this property justice. Home is much larger than appears. The top floor is basically the Master BR with full bath. The middle floor has a large family room, dining area, kitchen 1.5 baths and two BR (that share the full bath). The basement has 1 BR no baths and a mud room that you enter from the garage. This layout was perfect for our 8 guest. Steve was awesome. He plowed the circle driveway (makes entering and exiting the property super easy) when almost a foot of snow fell on the night we arrived. An EASY 15 minute drive to Olympic Center. It was nice to get a little bit away from all the hustle and bustle but be so close to go enjoy anytime we wanted. 5 stars...don't hesitate if this meets your needs...

Great Rental!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying here. We forgot our camera case and the owner was AWESOME with contacting us and arranging for us to get it back! The house is beautiful has lots of room for a group or family. close to things to do and explore. We had a wonderful time!

Adirondack Getaway

This property suited our needs and then some! There were 3 couples in town for a family wedding and the layout of this house worked out great. The house is a great gathering place whether in the kitchen/dining area, spacious living room with fireplace or out on the decks. It was also immaculate. I've stayed in many rentals, and this one was by far the cleanest. No dust on windows, hardwood floors or on shelves. We cooked dinners and breakfast which worked out well when we weren't in town. Easy access to all the happenings in town and local area. Neighborhood is quiet and nature is literally right out the back door. Many mornings the deer were grazing in the backyard and we had a bear visit at some point as we identified their scat in the backyard. Will stay again next time I'm in town. You won't be disappointed.

Our group of 4 friendshave been renting houses for one week a year for 35 years. This house was one if not, the best. Beautiful and Very well equipped. We wished we could have stayed longer. Couldn’t say enough good things about it.

Charming Retreat

My family and I really enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. The house was clean, comfortable, charming, and well stocked with anything we needed. We also appreciated the colorful flowers on the deck and the occasional deer that came through. We would definitely stay here again!

Saranac Escape exceeded our expectations

We so enjoyed this comfortable house and beautiful property during our ADK (Adirondacks) visit. It was clean, quiet, well- equipped throughout and it felt like home. We watched deer and fawns, squirrels, and hummingbirds. Communication with the owners was excellent. This is a wonderful Vrbo we would gladly visit again!

Amazing getaway for winter or summer

The owners make you feel like your in a real home. Personal touches and stories on the walls telling the history of this home. Clean and updated. Ready for you if your a hour away or across the country or world this home is ready for you. The owners have gone above and beyond to provide you with little worry about the little things. Views made in heaven. Located Near stores but you would not know it. Owner easy to contact and resourceful. Cannot recommend this home enough.

We built this home in 2008 when we moved "into town." Part of a 10 acre parcel bordering the village, a rare find.

Location. Part of the village, yet bordering the Saranac Lakes Wild Forest. Close to Lake Placid, yet miles from the hustle and bustle. Walk to 8 restaurants, no traffic at home. Destination outdoor fireplace made from glacial erratics!
