Wonderful cottage on Lake Bras D'Or. The pictures of the property are accurate. There is great privacy at the property and lots of room to spread out and enjoy yourself.The view is absolutely spectacular and we loved option of both a hot tub and a sauna.
Beautiful sunset from inside the cottage.
What a view!
The hot tub was definitely enjoyed...

Gorgeous lake retreat

We had a wonderful time with a stupendous view and cool dip in the waters and warmth in the sauna and hot tub. Flowers lovely and fragrant.

We loved our stay here!

Check in was simple. We stayed three nights and used this as home base for our travels around the island. It was nice to stay in one place rather than moving around. Would highly recommend the place.

A beautiful home

The property itself is beautiful and the view is spectacular! I spent several sunsets in the hammock reading a book. The house is very comfortable and easy to settle into. There are also kayaks available for exploring the lake which is such a treat. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for the perfect spot in Cape Breton to explore the region from.

Great weekend getaway!

Beautiful cottage with fantastic views! Perfect for a weekend getaway. Fabulous great room with wood stove and excellent chairs/couch for curling up with a good book. Well equipped kitchen. Very clean place. Close to hiking trails and amenities. Host was very responsive. Would highly recommend this place!

We arrived with high expectations which were met completely. The property is warm and comfortable. The views are breathtaking. Communication with the managers was quick and helpful. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Lakefront privacy

The setting is very private with a stunning western view of the Bras d’Or Lake. If you enjoy sunsets this site is extraordinary. At night dark skies give way to beautiful stargazing as well. The house has everything you need and I would highly recommend it.

Relaxing stay!

The property had an amazing view. It had both indoor and outdoor furniture to make it relaxing. The only problem was how hot it was inside with no air conditioning. The big windows allow for a great view but also let in full sun during the whole day. Open windows and fans helped but only in the evenings. and no air conditioning

Serenity and Bliss

When we finally found the house, thanks to the neighbours who are very used to tourists taking the wrong turn as per GPS instructions, we were in awe of the view. The waterfront property is beautifully kept; we met a lovely caretaker who came by to mow the lawn while we were there. He was kind and very friendly, like most Cape Bretoners. The home was bright and clean. The bedrooms were quaint. The kitchen was very manageable, however, a little smaller than website pictures. But we did just fine. The sitting area was lovely. We walked the very rough rocky beach... the Caribbean temperatures forced us to the water, which was warm and welcoming. And as clear as I have ever experienced. Future visitors; Bring sneakers or water shoes of some kind... the water is not deep enough by the shore, so you have to walk a distance. It was worth it. All in all... a 5 star. * a small suggestion; replace a frying pan or two.

Vue magnifique, emplacement tranquille.

Chalet impeccable, avec décors de plage chic, mais minimaliste. La luminosité est incroyable, mais pourrait rendre l'intérieur trop chaud en été (plus de raison pour profiter de la cours et de la vue). Meubles et accessoires d'excellentes qualités.

So Relaxing

We spent a lot of time reading, napping and relaxing. The sounds of the ocean lull you into relaxation mode. We did venture in to St. Peters for a few hikes and excursions, but ultimately we were here to relax and enjoy some family time. Board games, camp fires, impromptu chats...all made possible by just BEING in this beautiful spot. Had some bunnies and an eagle visit a few times and the view is just amazing. Such a great way to spend our family vacation! Everything you need to unwind and just BE together!

Family time

This place is a piece of heaven on earth. The property is stunning, the house and furnishings are tasteful. The man who cuts the grass is a gem! My family LOVED it! Hopefully, we can visit again. I miss it already.

Relaxation on the Ocean

Excellent home away from home. All the comforts needed for a truly relaxing time. Beautiful views, warm and cozy fireplace, super comfy beds, paths to the ocean nearby. It definitely met our expectations for a winter getaway. The town of St. Peter's is just 20 minutes away with groceries, liquor store, coffee shops and restaurants and one of the best dollar stores around! Property owner was very quick to respond to inquiries. Highly recommend!

Relaxation On the Lake

This property was everything we had hoped and more. The pictures honestly did not do it justice.....and the pictures were beautiful. The property was right on the lake, a great yard and spectacular sunsets over the water. The deck spanned the entire back of the house and was perfectly set up with comfy furniture on one end, and a bbq and dining table at the other. The house was well equipped with anything you could possibly need. It felt like home, tastefully decorated with modern and high quality furnishings. But our absolutely favorite part of this house was relaxing in that amazing great-room next to the woodstove. We spent most of our time there, whether it was playing crib or taking naps in the sun in the beanbag chairs......it was the focal point of the house. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend! It was a relaxing girls weekend in tranquility.
