Wonderful Stay in Paris!

We had a great stay at Marie-Jo’s awesome and artsy apartment. It was very comfortable and spacious; we loved the big kitchen and the fact that there was an elevator in the building was a huge plus! The area was very convenient with a metro station close by! Would definitely book this apartment again.

Wonderful stay!

We enjoyed a great week in Paris from the base of Mariejo’s apartment. Her warm welcome and thoughtful recommendations made the trip extra special. And her personal touches and remarkable artwork make the place truly one of a kind.

Beautiful place to explore Paris

The place is beautiful, spacious and clean. Marijo is available, friendly and helpful. The apartment is close to Sacre Coeur and its hills and lively scene. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful stay in Montmarte!

We had the most amazing stay at Marijo’s apartment! The apartment is beautiful and full of her art which makes it a very unique stay. The rooms are comfortable and decorated very well. Each room has everything that you need - comfy beds, closets, great common areas to hang out and separate bathroom from toilet. There is no AC but the windows create a great breeze if it hot outside. There is also a lift which was great for our luggage. Marijo and her associate Michel were so responsive and took great care of us. Michel met us there and gave us a tour and explained everything which was great. The location is absolutely amazing - you are walking distance from the Sacre Couer and the really cute neighborhood surrounding it. There are great restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries on every block. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back!!

Amazing!

Marijo was so attentive and thoughtful, and her home was absolutely stunning. Highly recommend! We had a blast in the neighborhood--centrally located and tons of places to see and hang out nearby. My siblings and I loved every minute. Thanks again, Marijo!

Fantastic location

We had a fabulous stay in Paris! Marie Jo was so warm and welcoming. She met us upon arrival and not only showed us around the apartment but also bought us a few grocery staples. Her beautiful apartment is in a great location and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Montmartre is also an easy walk from the apartment. Hopefully we will visit Paris again soon and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Creatively charming!

This lovely apartment exceeded our expectations. It was comfortable, colorful and the art was amazing. The beds were so comfortable and made for a great night’s sleep. The host met us prior to our check-in time so we were able to come straight from the airport. She was warm, accommodating and very nice. We were greeted with fresh bread and a few things in the fridge. We had everything we needed and more. We would definitely stay there again!

Comfortable and lovely

Marie Jo is such a sweet lady. She waited for us to check in because we were delayed at the airport. The apartment is well decorated and comfortable. The beds are comfortable and we slept well. The neighborhood is very lively but it is quiet once we are inside the building. A pleasant stay and we had wonderful time in Paris! Thank you!

Great location! Gracious host

Location was great. The apartment was very clean and spacious for a family of four. The kitchen is comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed breakfast most mornings at the apartment. There is also elevator (huge win). Marie Jo was there to greet us and give the lay of the land complete with restaurants, boulangeries, shopping, transport, etc. We walked mostly or took the bus (#68 around corner) due to RATP disruptions, but we were fine. Would definitely stay again!

Bucket list visit!

I’ve been waiting a long time to visit Paris, and I chose the best possible place! Many thanks to Marijo for allowing us to stay in her beautiful home. I was able to celebrate my birthday with my family surrounded by her beautiful artwork in a gorgeous neighborhood with excellent food options. Marijo is the most wonderful host - I only wish we could have taken her out to dinner to thank her for her hospitality. If I come back to Paris, I will definitely request to stay here again! Thank you!!!!

Living in an Artist’s Space

Marie Jo was a warm and welcoming host and her apartment was not only beautifully decorated but had all the modern amenities. It was very cool to stay in an true artist’s apartment! It was conveniently located within a block of a Patiserie, Supermarche, metro station, Moulin Rouge and multiple restaurants. Short walk to Sacre Coeur, Palais Garnier, and Gallerie Lafayette with its rooftop views of Paris. Highly recommended.

Absolutely Wonderful!!

We could not have asked for a better experience! Marie Jo was a wonderful owner...her home let you know you were in Paris...from her artistic touches to the welcoming croissants. baguettes and local coffee and a very helpful guide to the neighborhood. Although located in the midst of a bustling Paris, the apartment is quiet and safe. City transportation is easily accessible, but if you want to immerse yourself in the local atmosphere, just step out the door. We had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to stay again! Thank you Marie Jo!!

Enjoy Montmartre here!

Went to Paris for the Rugby World Cup. We enjoyed staying in the Montmartre area - close enough to the Stade de France - yet very different with the emphasis on arts. Marie Jo was an excellent host. She was readily available to answer questions and provide advice. The apartment is well appointed and filled with art. Very comfortable for three people - a couple and a single. Her apartment is in an excellent location l- easy access to bakeries, restaurants, grocery stores and all the cultural elements of the Montmartre from the Sacre Coeur Basilica to the nightclubs and bistros.

Cheerful, Bright & Beautiful!

My daughter and I had the most wonderful stay at Marijo's fabulous apartment. The photos and description are very accurate -- it's a quiet, sunny, cheerful oasis in a bustling neighborhood, with colorful artwork everywhere you look. Marijo left us all the necessities: coffee, milk, delicious cookies... She was so kind that she waited for us when our plane was late and almost missed her own train so she could be there to greet us and show us around when we finally arrived. The apartment was very comfortable, with a good, well-appointed kitchen, and even a washer and drier. We had a great week and look forward to returning on our next trip to Paris!

Parisian living

Our family of four adults stayed at this chic and cozy apartment in the9th arrondissement of Paris. The home has a stylish layout and in an ideal location. It was quiet yet so close to many restaurants and great cafes. The apartment has everything you need and the kitchen's facilities are suitable for proper cooking, and there is a washing machine, dryer, bath, shower, fridge/freezer. The location really couldn't be better for getting the most out of living in Paris. It is a very safe area and the apartment is close to the metro stations. Our host, MarieJo, was fantastic. She responded so quickly to all our needs and questions. She was so welcoming and kind. We would stay here again!

Lovely Olympic experience

Beautiful apartment stuffed full of quirky art created by the super-friendly and helpful host. Lovely area with fun bars and shops two minutes from the Moulin Rouge on the border between Pigalle and Montmartre. We had a lovely stay. The only things that could have been better: (a) the second double bed is a bit small; (b) like most Parisian houses there is no air-conditioning so it got a bit warm at times in the August heat; (c) whilst totally not the host’s fault, we were without an elevator for a few days after it broke down and it is quite a long walk up to the fifth floor. Overall, though, it was still a great experience and we would certainly consider going back.

Amazing week in Paris

From the moment we arrived it was an amazing stay. Marie Jo was at the property when we arrived to show us her beautiful apartment and all of the amenities. We felt at home the moment we walked in. We came to Paris to enjoy the eclectic city and beautiful art. Marie Jo’s apartment was a wonderful bit of both. Her artwork is amazing and is displayed throughout the apartment. There is a wonderful open seating area that we enjoyed at night. Even though we were situated around fabulous restaurants and a thriving nightlife, the apartment is tucked away in a corner that was still peaceful and quiet. We loved being within walking distance of most of the downtown and also close to several metro stations. Fresh baguettes and croissants were right next door every morning. We had a busy week but looked forward to coming to the apartment every night for a comfortable homey rest. We would definitely stay here again!

Artsy, airy, with lots of natural light.

The entry to the property, and common area, have tons of 'Paris' character - apartment is on the 5th floor. The elevator was great for moving the luggage, but we walked the stairs several times during our stay as well, and it wasn't bad. Neighborhood was fantastic - short walk to all the best shops and cafes that Montmartre has to offer. I recommend hiking up the hill to the Basilica - it's a bit of work, but the view of Paris from the top is one of the best you'll get. We were there partially as a vacation, and partially to move our daughter to Paris. We stayed for about 10 days. The apartment had everything we needed, and was an amazing place to come home to each night. Marijo was so responsive and proactively reached out to us during our stay to make sure everything met our expectations - she offered some great recommendations as well. Thank you, Marijo!! I would stay with Marijo again without hesitation, we had an amazing trip. -Christopher

This place is very special!

This spacious, light-filled apartment is beautiful and so unique. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and convenient stay including many thoughtful touches, and the apartment was spotless. I can’t say enough about the host/owner Marie Jo. She greeted us upon arrival with pastries, and there was butter, jam, and other essentials in the fridge. She showed us around and provided a book with very useful information, including restaurant and shopping recommendations. The apartment building felt very safe and secure and access to transportation was very convenient. My daughter, who is a runner, really enjoyed running to the Eiffel tower in the mornings. There is so much to do within walking distance, including Mont Marte/Sacré Coeur, Moulin Rouge, Palais Garnier, Galeries Lafayette, and more. The apartment is very quiet in the evenings and the beds are comfortable. The main bedroom is very spacious. The second bed was a little small for my two older teenage daughters to share so one of my daughters slept with me, and it was quite comfortable. I would say if you have two smaller children, it is perfect. The washer and dryer was very convenient and we left the windows open for sleeping at night, weather permitting, which made it more comfortable. She can also provide portable fans upon request. Her responsiveness before, during, and after our stay was exceptional. We would absolutely be grateful to stay again in the future!

Excellent Apartment

Throughout our communication with Marijo she was very responsive and helpful. Our initial meeting was great, with all the information we needed and Marijo preparing the apartment beautifully for our arrival. Any issues we had during our stay she dealt with very quickly and fully. The apartment itself was prefect for our needs. Very spacious and with lots of character , much more so than many apartments on the rental market largely because of Marijo's terrific pop-art throughout and a lived-in feel to it all. Fully-equipped kitchen, a great light-filled aspect, very quiet and private. And a full-on taste of Paris in the area: from the Moulin Rouge and the red-light district of Pigalle to the elegance of Place St Georges and Rue des Martyrs. Montmartre just up the hill and rue Lepic full of restaurants and food shops. All in all, a great success for us......in our 13th trip to Paris!

Perfection

What a wonderful home to have to come home to after touring museums. So many wonderful places within walking distance. We made friends with the wine bar owners just a few blocks away. Soif and 228 Litres lovely! Had the most amazing dinner Le Coq & Fils. The corner bakery and the crepe restaurant are not to be missed. The home was quiet and very comfortable. We got lucky and saw a crazy lightning storm sitting on the sofa drinking wine. I highly recommend. Big bonus was the elevator and the breeze at night.
