Plano de planta abierto, espaciosas 3149 pies cuadrados, 4 habitaciones + sala grande / sala de bonificación y 3 1/2 baños. La gran suite principal privada con una cama CalKing / ajustable tiene piscina y vistas parciales al océano. Abra las puertas francesas y deje que la brisa fluya a través de un balcón delantero y una gran terraza con escaleras que le dan acceso directo al patio trasero. Cuenta con una cocina para artistas con todo lo que pueda desear, incluida una estufa de gas con doble horno / plancha, máquina de café espresso Miele incorporada, enfriador de vino, fregadero de la granja y despensa de mayordomos. This home was amazing and the owners very friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and spa with user friendly operation software, fully stocked kitchen with so many extras beyond your typical b&b, and the creative Italian design elements. The backyard is very private with beautiful landscaping and so many hummingbirds and butterflies. The fountain sets the tone for a peaceful retreat. So close to the beach and restaurants- and the owners even give eatery and other area recommendations. Would book again!

Beautiful Home with Pool

This is a beautiful home with an amazing backyard. It has an large patio area with a pool and hot tub. Plenty of room with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Home is decorated in an fun Italian theme. Great communication with the property manager. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Will definitely be back!

Perfect Place!

The property was meticulously clean, well appointed with everything you could need, beautiful and very comfortable! We stayed here for our son’s wedding. We had 8 adults in our party and it was very comfortable. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and a perfect backdrop for some lovely pictures. We hosted some friends and family for a small gathering on the back patio that was a big hit. Everyone commented on what a great house it was. We could have been happier and would highly recommend this place. You can’t go wrong with the house and the host!

Incredible home with EVERYTHING for fun and food! We convened our family here for Thanksgiving and it was the perfect house for a family feast. Pool/outdoor was amazing! A gorgeous yet comfortable home. Shelly and Mark were awesome hosts who communicated very well.

Great stay

Great stay at this house over Christmas 2023. Owners even put up Christmas decorations including a nice tree. Pool and hot tub were easy and quick to heat up, spaces were nice. Easy access to beach and to family in Orange County. Truly a mediterranean vibe.

Awesome place!

This was the perfect backdrop to an awesome vacation! Lots of space for us, our young kids and my parents to spread out, both inside and out. We love to cook and this kitchen had more to offer than we do at home! Communication and responsiveness of host was second to none. There was truly not a single thing we wished we’d had while there. Location was perfect, neighbors were quiet, it was truly an escape. Hardest part was leaving.

Beautiful Property...Awesome Stay

This house is stunning! 5+++ Stars all the way. The house is even more spectacular than the photos. Everything is first class and the indoor-outdoor flow was perfect for entertaining. We hosted several family get togethers and the kitchen is a dream to cook in and beautifully and thoughtfully stocked with everything you will need, even a pasta maker! The location is convenient to the beaches and shopping. Our hosts Shelly and Mark were so wonderful and responsive to our every need or question. You will love staying at this property!

May time Holiday in Dana Point.

From the moment we arrived at Villa Catalia,we realised this was not your typical Holiday let, more of a home from home, clean and tidy with lots of little touches to welcome guests.Shelly and Mark have provided pretty much everything needed to make theirs guests stay a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable one.Travelling from the UK visiting family in Dana Point for many years this was the first time we have rented a property, it was so nice to have somewhere to relax, enjoy the sun and entertain family.The house is very well presented, comfortable beds and bedrooms, lovely bathrooms and ensuites, the kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to entertain, with a lovely breakfast bar, dining room and lounge area.The outside space and garden area is lovely for dining alfresco on the patio surrounded by the scent of the roses, the pool and spa on the upper level of the garden was amazing with pool toys provided.We did not get the opportunity to take up the offer of a cruise on their 'baby yacht' this trip, but there will be other opportunities when we are back in Dana PointEverything was exactly as described, Shelly and Mark were wonderful hosts, we always knew that they were at the end of the phone should we need them and nothing was too much trouble, we really did not want to leave. Thankyou Shelly and Mark.

Backyard “wow”!!!

We were lucky enough to spend the month of March at Shelly and Mark’s place. I’m still missing my sunny mornings in the backyard. This is NOT your typical bland vacation rental—it’s clearly a home that is loved and cared for by its owners. One can live vs just vacation here. The kitchen, as well as the rest of the home, is well equipped with everything you need. The location is excellent. Just hop on the 5 to get to wherever you need to go! San Clemente, Dana Point, San Juan Capastrano and Laguna were visited often and we had fun doing day trips to LA, San Diego, Catalina island and Temecula. We also enjoyed just staying home and enjoying the backyard, hot tub and pool. Highly recommend!

Spring break family vacation

Couldn't have been more pleased with our stay and experience with home, hosts or location. The home was an oasis with every amenity imaginable including built in expresso, wine cooler, outdoor speakers, ping pong table, etc. Lots of space for family members to spread out or convene. Outdoor space, pool and balconies were lovely. We chose to go to monarch beach or laguna beaches rather than nearby beach but house was close to the ocean, highway, and even walking distance to grocery stores. We can't wait to return! Shelly and Mark were phenomenal hosts beginning to end. Excellent communication from before we booked until moment we left. You won't be disappointed. Worth every penny!

Heavenly Oasis

Not very often do you check into a rental property ( even a monthlong one ) and have both the indoor and outside of the property be even better than the pictures but this one is ! The home is comfortably furnished , beautifully decorated and fully stocked for all your needs . The owners have gone to great lengths to think of and satisfy all your needs for a feel at home stay ! The kitchen is fully stocked and looks out on the beautiful backyard , spacious laundry room off the kitchen , 3 bedrooms and 2full baths on 1st floor . The 2nd floor has 3 balcony's ( 2 with ocean views ) and a wonderful very large sitting room ( with a trundle bed and desk to work if need be ). The spacious master looks out over the stunning backyard and has a beautiful en suite bathroom and a large walk in closet . Can’t wait to come back and visit . Communication 5 star . Look no further your dream vacation begins and ends here .

Dana Point Bliss

House and hosts (Mark and Shelly) were excellent. The house was so well stocked and equipped. On day two of our stay our 4 year old granddaughter discovered the den closet - full of games, toys and puzzles - entertained her for hours. Beach toys and chairs in garage. Beds were comfortable. The backyard was amazing. Such a wonderful space to relax. Beautiful pool and hot tub. Hosts were readily available to answer questions. My husband arrived to the home prior to the rest of the family. He had a question on how something operated. Mark was in the neighborhood and popped over. Fantastic service. The house was a short walk to grocery stores (Ralphs, Stater Bros. and Trader Joes) and CSVs plus restaurants. Mark and Shelly provided a list of restaurants in the area - we tried a few - all excellent.The hosts have a mini-yacht that is available at a reduced rate to guests of the house. Highly recommend. We took the opportunity to do a cruise in the late afternoon to see the sunset and then the Christmas lights from the ocean. Mark was a great captain. Very pleasant and provided us with information on the area. House is short drive to downtown Dana Point and the beach. We enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave.Mark and Shelly truly want their guests to enjoy their home and area. We sure did. If you are considering renting this house - DO IT!

Amazing 2 months with our family!

Shelly & Mark we’re GREAT hosts. We came for two months this summer to escape the TX heat with our 16yr old, 4yr old and 2.5yr old twins. Everyone had a great time and the house was perfect for all ages. The house is laid out wonderfully and had everything we needed! There was nothing I needed in the kitchen I couldn’t find already there as far as appliances, dishes, cookware and utensils, etc. There were toys for the kids, games, pool toys, outdoor games, beach toys and chairs, etc. The location is absolutely perfect! Great places to eat in walking distance as well as grocery stores. It’s right off the highway and easy to get to the 5! So many things to do with a few miles. Doheny Beach was a favorite and really short drive. There is a wonderful neighborhood park short walk from house we spent a lot of time at since we could walk there and we reallly miss that Park! The kids loved it. The location is so great. We were able to do day trips to so many places north and south. We drove to Carlsbad (LEGOLAND) for a day, San Diego and La Jolla, laguna, Newport, LA, Santa Monica, Malibu…. Mark & Shelly clearly cared about the people staying at their house and checked in just to make sure we were doing ok and didn’t need anything or have any questions. Any time we messaged them they were so responsive. I even left my diamond earrings there and she jumped on that as soon as I told her they might be there and found them right away (despite me not being able to find them anywhere before we left!!) and even mailed them to me promptly. Such good hearted hosts. I can’t say enough good things about our experience staying here and these hosts and the location and House in general.

Amazing family vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation at Villa Catalia. The house is amazing! It is well equipped and found it spotless clean. The jacuzzi and the pool are heated with a large backyard for family to hangout with awesome grill (and smoker), table tennis. The rooms are large with a perfect gaming room for kids to hangout. Perfect location walking distance to retail stores and very short drive to beach. Prompt communication with Shelly and Mark that took great care of us ! We are grateful for the hospitality and definitely plan to come back again

Great place that felt like home

The house was a beautiful, spacious place. Great artwork. Beautiful master bedroom. The backyard was fantastic, with a pool and hot tub that we used almost every day. The hosts were great as well, and were available whenever we needed them. I would definitely stay here again.

Great home away from home

This property is amazing from the moment you walk in the front door. Shelly and Mark are fantastic hosts and were easily contacted. The house is perfect for family, friends or whatever your trip is going to throw at you. Well appointed/stocked and has everything you need. I highly recommend!

Amazing place in Dana Point!!

We had a wonderful stay! We were there for 1 month and would definitely come back!! Shelly is amazing. If we ever had any questions she would respond quickly. She provides you with all the information you need about the house when you arrive. The house was spotless, checkin was easy and the house is as beautiful as the pictures. You have everything you need for a wonderful stay. The outdoor and pool area was amazing. We loved eating outdoors in the evening. The house is a very short walk to coffee, restaurants and grocery stores. We hope to return!!!

Casa El Molino

The home was Amazing from start to finish. We stayed in the home for over 2 months, and had a great experience. Mark & Shelly are really incredible people and hosts. The home was spotless, very well equipped, so fun for our family. The outdoor amenities were so much fun, with the pool, spa and lounge areas. The Pool was perfect for our younger and older kids alike. Whenever we had a question on anything, Mark and Shelly were available right away to offer assistance. I have stayed at many VRBO properties, and have never had a better host family.

Family holiday

Fantastic house for our family holiday, in a quiet area but near supermarket and shops . Dana point harbour just a short drive away. Loved it , didn t want to leave

Amazing House!!

This house is everything the listing says it is and more!! My family recently stayed here for a week and it was amazing!! The backyard is absolutely perfect! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking and the laundry room is amazing as well (perfect for a family traveling with kids). Nancy is super responsive and very easy to work with. We highly recommend this property and would stay here again without a doubt!

We purchased our home in 2006 and spent the next 10 years transforming it to be reminiscent of our favorite place (outside of California) Italy. Plus it became mine and my son's "vacation at home" waiting for my husband to return from being away for months at sea. My husband has retired from driving ships for the military and is now home with us full-time. We missed a lot together as a family and while our son is still young we want to travel and have different life experiences away from home. Sharing our home with others allows us to accomplish this, plus we love doing it! It's fun for us and we have a passion for making your stay the absolute best it can be, in our home, and in Dana Point and surrounding Orange County area... known as the "California Riviera" . We are quite blessed to live here and want you to live it too!
