Timothy paid $38 per person (11 persons-group) to stay at my very economical, clean, spacious, and safe home in DC, the Nation’s Capital city. You would think he’d be more appreciative and grateful. Sadly, some people like Timothy come with such high expectations, after paying so little. We have many proper upscale hotels with many amenities in DC, that cost on average $150 a night per person. My home does not compete nor purport with those establishments. Timothy’s rating is not fair. Keep calm and continue to read more credible reviews..

Home is provided with 7 rolls of TP and 2 fresh rolls of paper towels. If you are coming with a group of 19, please don’t expect host to supply your essentials above the basic. Especially, considering the price paid for the rental does not include extras, as such.

Thomas and his family were excellent guests at my home. It was a pleasure to host them. They were very respectful and responsible throughout their visit.

Tara and group were not ideal for a budget experience in the District of Columbia. She’s in her feelings because she was charged for damages that she made at the property.. Thus, she rated the property negatively. Tara checked out and left every AC unit on in the home. I found this very strange and irresponsible. Tara believed she could find luxury accommodation at my home for the cheap price her group paid. Reading is fundamental and Tara failed to read not just the reviews to my home but the listing also. The listing and photos featured are actual and factual. Rest assured that I guarantee a very clean, safe, and cheap sleep. The home is not a set-up to come hang out and watch TV nor lounge around. Please do not pay Tara’s coded review much mind. It’s twisted and spiteful. Continue to read more credible ones before and after hers.

Peter booked a non-refundable booking last year and requested to change the dates due to the Covid pandemic. As a courtesy I changed the dates, reserving my home for an entire year to receive his family. In fact, after several months passed, Peter requested a second time to change the dates of his stay which could not be honored. He booked the home for 17 guests (7 adults and 10 children) at a rate of $32 per person in DC. This discounted price is really an incredible bargain and almost unheard of for accommodating a group that size anywhere in DC. I am sorry Peter’s expectations of my home and neighborhood did not please him as a commercial hotel space would have. Bloomingdale NW DC is one of DC’s most sought-after neighborhoods with beautiful Victorian homes as mine and lovely tree-lined blocks. In fact, it is one of the fastest gentrified neighborhoods in America for its overall beauty and value. It is urban and diverse. Most people love the neighborhood! My listing of my home is very accurate. Every picture is detailed to show and describe the expectations of the home. Nothing is fudged about the listing. There are no pomp and circumstances to coo anyone to stay and the home is priced accordingly. As listed, all beds are twin sizes in the main home and only one queen size bed is available in the English basement apartment. I am sorry that Peter did not take the time to properly read the listing before booking. The home is listed to “sleep” and not to entertain. The photo of the living room shows the couch. Seventeen people cannot sit on it at one time. The dining room shows 4 chairs to the dining room’s table. My listing does not state that there are “dishes/utensils for kids,” nor are there plastic dishes as the review claims. It does states that there are basic utensils available. It is expected that responsible guests will return the home as founded. However, some guests do not respectfully care for the property as others. From experience, informing guests that there is a charge for dirty dishes and to re-arrange moved furniture, guests do comply. It is not necessary to take lots of pictures when you arrive my home. An item was broken, and Peter’s damage deposit was charged $20 to replace it. He protested and I simply agreed to return the $20. Just as I had agreed to Peter’s aggressive requests to refund and to change his dates “due to Covid,” I simply wanted to please my guests. I too wish that Peter and his family had stayed in a hotel.

The description of my property does not purports to coo guests to book. In fact, my attempt is to be very clear with details and instructions to avoid guests like Jaime that do not take the time to properly read. The home’s description is very accurate. It is a two unit 5-bedroom home that includes a 2-bedroom English Basement apartment. All beds are twin size for the exception of one queen. All sofa beds are twins. Thus, no disclaimer is given for individuals that may need to sleep in commercial sized beds at a proper hotel. The coffee table book on African art is appropriate. No warning is attached to it for children. The property states city street parking. My home is offered as an economical, clean, and safe space to crash for a night or two. Priced at an unbelievable affordable group rate for a DC experience.
