Great cottage near downtown Cornelius

The place was super cute and very clean! Great location near restaurants, bars and shopping. Very well equipped had everything we needed.

We have been staying in VRBOs for nearly 20 years, and I have to say that Lorilee is one of the best hosts we have ever experienced. She was extremely responsive and attentive. The rental itself was perfect for our needs. It was neat, functional, and comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. Very clean rental. The location was exceptional. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. A short drive to other restaurants and shops, including Davidson. A must visit. There is a beautiful walking trail around the corner from the VRBO that is very well maintained. Quiet and safe location. Easy access to freeways as well. If you are visiting Lake Norman or western North Carolina, Shabby Chic is an excellent and unbeatable choice.

Great location, perfect place

This place was in the perfect location near nice spots in Cornelius and within a 2 minute drive into Davidson. The home was very clean and organized. Will be staying here again.

Super cute!!

I don’t typically leave reviews but I just really wanted to this time. This place was so cute! Decor was adorable and just what we needed for a couple of days! It’s close to a grocery store, places to eat, ice cream, etc. It was very conveniently located to where we needed to be while in town! We met the owner briefly and she was very pleasant and helpful! We will most definitely stay here again if we are back this way!

Our stay at Shabby Chic

Very comfortable. The bedrooms were very comfortable, the large couch easily allows 4-5 people to sit comfortably and watch the TV. The kitchen was well furnished, with new appliances. Felt like home away from home. Would stay here again and highly recommend this location.

Cozy Cottage, Excellent Host

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this host. Her communication was stellar and she epitomized Southern hospitality. The space is very comfortable and well-equipped. There are several stores and restaurants within walking distance, as well as a nice trail. I would highly recommend this property.

This is our favorite place to stay when we travel to the Huntersville/Cornelius area. Always clean, well stocked with extra bedding, towels, kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, etc. Lorilee is the best host, she goes the extra mile to make certain all her properties exceed your expectations!! She gets 6 Stars!!

I cannot express enough gratitude for this getaway and our host. My friend and I arrived after a stressful and uncertain time in our lives, and from the moment we stepped inside, it felt like home. Great place for a weekend in the Lake Norman Area

We came across this property while trying to find a place to stay while our floors were being redone. This property met our needs and more. Very comfortable and quaint place that kept us close to our home to check in on the work. The host has thought of everything to make sure your stay is comfortable. The property is behind a business but is very close to restaurants , grocery and Old Town Cornelius by walking or car. We were very pleased with the linens and the cleanliness, especially a property that allows small dogs. Great to know this property is close to our home and when we have work done again and need to be out of the house , this will be our first place we look.

Not as Expected

Totally not as expected!!!! We were disappointed with the sleeping accommodations. Not suitable for three adults!!! We ended up having to getting a hotel (luckily one was available on such late notice) and did not even stay here!

Good location, quite. Bathroom smelled like urine baseboards dirty dusty It was not a 2 bathroom unit as stated by owner. Have pictures. Not enough towels, hand towel, bath. Bedroom had a double bed not a queen. The larger bedrooms headboard was dusty. The couches in living room had coverings over them and were not inviting.

bad first impression

although the remainder of the stay was fine. we arrived at the house at 10:30 friday night. the locked worked no problems when i opened the door i was "blown back " by the smell of naphthalene (moth balls), could not find any moth balls. not a good night. called the owner the next morning she explained the moth balls were to remove a harmless snake in the basement. problem resolved that morning
