Bryn Goleu es un espacioso,, casa adosada de piedra que fue construido en 1845. Es conocido por sus impresionantes vistas y ser el primero en ser iluminada cuando sale el sol.

Bryn Goleu cuenta con 3 amplias habitaciones dobles, una cocina totalmente equipada con zona de comedor y sala de estar separada. Cuenta con un gran cuarto de baño con ducha equipada.

La casa está muy bien, bien situada y es cómoda. La limpieza bastante mala, la basura de los anteriores ocupantes estaba sin recoger, en el cuarto de baño había cepillos de dientes usados y restos de dentifrico, las toallas (solo dejaron toalla de ducha) estaban sucias y la alfombrilla del baño llena de arena. Deberían poner más atención en la limpieza de la casa.

Lovely stay

We really enjoyed our stay, it was a pretty house. Although advertised as a 4 beded property, there were 3 bedrooms upstairs and one extra room downstairs. It was clean and tidy and the owner even left a hamper for us as a welcome. Would recommend for family or friends.

Excellent location and amazing views from the property

The host was very helpful and help was at hand when needed. The stay was comfortable. The property has all the basic amenities. The views at from the property was very beautiful. The location of property is excellent with Snowdonia mountain Railway only 20 minutes drive. Abey falls was also approximately 20 minutes drive away. Local supermarkets were also a few minutes drive away.

On first impressions the house looks really nice with a stunning view. We have listed below our true findings Positives 1. Stunning views and location. 2.Host supplied every cleaning accessory, bin bags & toilet rolls along with lots of airfreshner which we now know the reason why. 3. Oven and BBQ spotless 4. Spacious Bedrooms 5. Lovely touch with the welcoming pack 6. Fresh & Clean bedding Negatives 1. Real musky smell in the living room either from the rug or settees masked by a candle on arrival. 2. Large wasp nest on the lower tier of the garden 3. Worn and broken garden furniture 4. Floor boards really creaky and bouncy 5. On site maintenance work involving hammering while we were relaxing in the garden 6. Internet speed advertised at 25mpbs more like 12mpbs 7. Line across the TV which interferes with viewing 8. Garden not mowed and full of weeds. 9. Settees very worn 10. Cobwebs in all rooms 11. Glasses, cutlery, windows and skirting boards dirty 12. Broken freezer door 13. Bath plug broken needs to be released with a knife. 14. Fridge shelf unsafe as it is taped. 15. Soiled towels which we washed 16. ADVERTISED AS A 4 BED HOUSE 3 DOUBLES AND ONE SINGLE X 2. ONLY A 3 BED. I usually take reviews with a pinch of salt but most things we have highlighted have been mentioned in previous reviews over the last couple of years. This house needs a deep clean throughout and a makeover in the garden

Brilliant view and location but property and service poor

We had to chase up check in details via Vrbo as no response was received via the app before arrival but did receive a helpful photo and passcode once we had. The contact phone number was out of service. The location is fantastic - amazing views across the straits. On a clear day you can see from the bridge up to Bangor Pier and beyond. The house was below par. The carpets and sofas were grubby though the kitchen and bathroom were clean and fresh. The main double bed was broken and had been incompetently repaired - we had to cobble together a solution to support the mattress. The stairs were very steep and creaky. The garden was an absolute shambles. The parking space was filled with building rubble and what looked to be a broken toilet. There was a random assortment of garden furniture on the decking but the lower part of the garden - which is huge and could be lovely - was given over to discarded toys, junk and weeds. Not somewhere you could happily relax or leave little kids to play. The owner was unhelpful when we asked for assistance regarding an item left behind - we didn’t even get the courtesy of a reply to our message.

We all enjoyed our stay at the property, the location is great for access to Menai Bridge and surrounding areas. Views from the house are amazing and would definitely stay here again.

Very peaceful with most excellent views

We'd definitely recommend this place as somewhere to stay and it suited us perfectly. A great base from which to explore, a very quiet neighbourhood, and fantastic views! The only issues we had were with things not getting attended to when they were raised. Firstly we had car issues getting there which meant we didn't arrive until after 1am and the host had very kindly left the lights on - it's just that the address was given to us as a house name which was not written anywhere on the building itself and it fact it was number 28 which we'd not been given! That meant it took us 15 minutes in the early hours of the morning trying to identify the house in the dark and not going up to the wrong house! The next morning we noticed a wasps nest right above the main door and near where we'd sit outside. We reported it and the host didn't know what to do so I told him and he got it sorted quickly so all turned out good. Asked about the rubbish collection and how recycling worked as here were no instructions for anything at the house. I was told that he'd find out yet never heard anything more. We had the most impractical cylindrical bin in the kitchen which meant we simply filled an open bin liner on the floor instead, which wasn't great. and we had to take a guess as to how the recycling worked - but it didn't seem like we had the same recycling bins as our neighbours! So we probably binned more than we should have - which is not how we live at home and felt alien and wrong. We also had an issue with the bathroom light switch not working properly - it wouldn't always turn on or off. Reported than and had a reply that an electrician would look at it but that's the last we heard. Thankfully there was a second light above the shower or we'd be using the bathroom in the dark, but the extractor was wired to the non-working switch so we never had that working. We didn't use the oven much but in the middle of the holiday we hit a problem when the timer would reset itself after a few minutes of cooking and as it's electric that meant the oven turned off and wouldn't come back on again. In fact you could hear a relay clicking. Reported this and had no reply at all. Finally we had asked in advance of our stay if there was a BBQ. The host very kindly bought a brand new one for us - but left it in its box which meant I had to assemble it myself which took an hour out of my holiday to do! So a fantastic place to stay, but be prepared to live with any issues!

Beautiful views

Amazing views, friendly and helpful communication with owners. Kitchen and bathroom are quite new. Other furnishings are good. Plenty of space. Some general maintenance needed and cleaning was not great. Deep clean really needed!

Excellent location just a shame about the cleanliness

An excellent location with fantastic views. The property was spacious but simple, everything you needed was there. It's a shame about the cleanliness of the property, it could really do with a deep clean.

Comfortable house with lovely view

Nice views of Snowdonia and a short walk to the village high street. Fairly simple but adequate facilities. Appears to have had a new kitchen and bathroom installed since some of the earlier reviews.

Lovely property in need of TLC

First of all, the property is in a great location just off the beaten track but close enough to walk into Menai Bridge. It also has fantastic views across the straits and back towards the bridge. It is however sadly let down at the moment by a lack of cleanliness (a lot of grime in corners, dust under furniture etc) and the fact that for the price there really ought to be some modernisation having taken place by now. Feels like all the furniture is just someone’s throw away stuff which really isn’t good enough. Furthermore, I have numerous photos of hazards in the garden, for example a snapped rusty saw blade hidden nicely in the grass for kids to walk on, a half dug up lawn which was being paved over as we arrived and then just left which spoiled half of the lawn, and also broken/worn out garden furniture. Lack of any decent literature about local things to do, lack of proper sized bins and recycling equipment, no sign of a welcome pack (although flowers were a nice touch), low level lights missing on stairs with holes in skirting board meaning exposed live wires were visible to little hands......I could go on but I won’t. I’m not a habitual complainer and the house did not spoil our wonderful family holiday, but come on owners.....spend some money on getting your place up to scratch please!

Unclean, unfinished, poorly equipped but great location.

I read the previous reviews and thought that the owner would have rectified the points raised previously - especially the review in August 2017. Sadly this is not the case. Lets first address the positives, the house is in a fantastic location - loads to do in the area. the rooms are of good size, with a small galley kitchen. The stairs are very steep and definitely not suitable for young children as no stair gate is provided. The garden is also on many different levels with steep steps - not an issue but good to know if you have young ones. However, the house was not found in a clean state - the windows are filthy with grime and have never been cleaned since installation years ago (the installation stickers are still on some windows. The sitting room smelled of damp, and indeed the sideboard contained moldy books, causing us not to use this room. The house contains an eclectic range of furnishings and decorations that don't match and really does look like it has been furnished from a car boot sale job lot with no thought whatsoever. The kitchen contains less than a complete dining set for 6 people. Crockery are chipped and cracked. Bathroom plug release still does not work - bath also leaks onto floor. Could not locate carbon monoxide alarm despite gas boiler located in kitchen. No fire extinguisher. TV does not work properly with faulty image, bad colour and annoying horizontal lines. The garden should be fantastic with decking with great views, however contains broken and old outdoor seating. Grass has never been looked after or cut and is hopeless for kids to play on. No welcome or information pack. - no info on appliances, heating, or when bins get emptied, what local attractions and services exist etc. Bins were full when we arrived, so we had nowhere to put rubbish throughout the whole week. No recycling facilities exist. Before you book, ask the owner if these points have been addressed, as they are all outstanding for over 1 year now. It wouldn't take much effort and expenditure to make this a great place, however the owner needs to address these points, and put more effort into the running of the property.

Some good features, but not what we expected.

Described as "Spacious". Some bits are, for example the master bedroom and the garden, but 2 bedrooms are small. The master bedroom is fine. The second double bedroom has a small wardrobe that is full of bedding with little space for clothes and few hangers. No drawers, shelves or even a mirror in the room. No room for them really. And a broken blind. Live out of your suitcase! The twin bedroom is a bit bigger, but no wardrobe or chest of drawers. Nowhere to hang or store except three small bedside cabinet drawers. A pier glass that doesn't stay upright. The bathroom is large, but no bath mat. No hand towels provided either. And the plug release in the bath is broken so use a knife to raise it! The kitchen is small. Not spacious. Really only one person at a time. It lacks some basic equipment like a sharp paring knife, fish slice, sieve. No fire extinguisher. Crockery is best described as assorted, Some is chipped. Feels like it has been kitted out from a car boot sale. Fridge is in the dining area. Sitting room is OK, but only two settees with space for 5 to sit comfortable and watch TV. The TV is faulty, with a line across the screen and different colours above and below. The outside is large, with good decking and terrace areas with a great view. The lawn hasn't been cut for weeks and not suitable to play on. And the garden is unkempt. There is no information at the property about anything. Normally one gets information about local facilities and key numbers. And about appliances, waste and recycling arrangements etc. But nothing. No recycling bins. Despite all this we had a great time, and the shortcomings became an item for collective amusement so as not to spoil the holiday. It's a great area to visit, and the location is very good. Oh, and I had to contact the owner twice a few days before for information, and only then got the key code. So, overall we had a great time but the description is not matched by the reality.

A place to relax

We spent a lovely week at this home near Menai bridge. It had a lovely garden for the boys to play. A comfortable home with almost all needed appliances. I would have liked it to be cleaner. There were many kitchen utensils not washed well. Bathroom and kitchen floors needed a good scrub. Duvet covers need washing. Other than that it was a lovely stay. Thank you for opening your home.

Lovely location, with stunning views.

Our family had a very relaxing break and attended a family gathering in Bangor. Fantastic location for getting around Anglesea and popping over the bridge to Bangor. A short five minute stroll to the centre of Menai Bridge. The house is very homely and accommodates six comfortably. The garden is perfect for a family get together, just missing a bbq. Intending to return in the future.

Lovely old house and garden

Me, my husband and three grandchildren spent almost a week in this beautiful old house and had a lovely time. Everywhere was clean and tidy, with plenty of space. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was great with a good shower and very big bath. The fresh flowers and bowl of fruit in the living room and dining room were a lovely touch. The kitchen was small but modern and perfectly adequate for a week's stay. However the only sharp knives we could find were the bread knife and cheese knife which made it a bit awkward at times. The views of the mountains and the Menai Straits from the house were the icing on the cake. There are plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops in the area with lots of things to see and do.

Lovely old house with character, shame that the fireplaces were covered up! causing damp.

The view was superb of the mountains & Menai straits, very large garden. A little concerned that smoke detectors were not working & could of had more cooking utensils ie: casserole dish/egg cups. The lane was very tight & car parking was a problem. No inventory or advice on where rubbish should be put ie: recycling. The house was quite cold perhaps radiators needed bleeding, one of the door keys did not work. Freezer had broken drawers & there was old food in the fridge ie: eggs that had a use by date of January 2016 we stayed in March. Difficulty lighting gas hob, just as well there were some matches in the kitchen.
