READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION. It is NOT an entire house. It is a basement apartment with residents upstairs. Those details are buried in the description. Host calls it a house, it is not. Shame on me for reading Entire House on the cover description and trusting the photos showing the front of a house meant the whole house.

Family gathering - nice time on lake

Good lake location, nothing fancy in home, but functioned well for our family of 19. Was able to chat with John via Vbro app and received fast responses. Large area off back of sliding doors to sit outside.Found bathrooms toilets had black around all holes in bowls, plus other locations didn’t appear cleaned recently. Would have like to have more free cabinet space in kitchen to store items for our family. Home could use a good spraying for bugs. Dock was large, however, there was a broken boat in main slip so had to park on side of dock exposing to lake traffic.Overall, we had a great two weeks, but some opportunities for improvements.

Lake Hartwell vacation

Property was plenty big. There were a lot of dead bugs so maybe it had been a while since someone stayed. Dock was great for fishing and swimming in the lake. There’s no water sports stuff like kayaks, canoes or rafts like we had at the other 2 lake rentals we used in the past. We took our inflatable raft and tied it off on the dock.
Lake was beautiful and water extremely cleat
Small Crappie but we caught several good size catfish.

Not the nicest house we've ever rented

We could tell from the website that this was not going to be the nicest house we've ever rented, but we needed 5 bedrooms, so rented anyway. It was even more disappointing than we expected. Everything was dirty - kitchen, bathrooms, etc. Comforters on the beds really need to be cleaned. The toilets "rocked" when sat upon. No soap anywhere, not even dish soap in the kitchen - and we had to wash all plates or utensils before we used them. We had to ask for more toilet paper. We all agreed that it had a frat house feel to it. The view of the lake was nice.

House was as listed

The outside could have been cleaned better, the grill and tables had lots of pollen stuck on them, I had to scrub them so that we could use them.

Great Family home

Large home with bedrooms to accommodate all our children and grandchildren. 20 in all. Beautiful property. Home is well stocked. We had a great time.

Great but…

Great location and good swimming and kayaking from the dock/property. Needs a deeper cleaning. Also would have expected dish washing soap, dishwasher pods, dishwashing scrubbers, laundry detergent as well as body wash and shampoo in the bathrooms.

Our family had a great time on Lake Hartwell staying at this house. The house is clean and well maintained and the owner is great to work with.

Wonderful Weekend

We had a great family weekend at John’s home celebrating Thanksgiving and Clemson football. We loved how close the home was to campus. It was a huge home with room for everyone and then some. Views from the dock were incredibly gorgeous. Really enjoyed our stay.

This house is great for large groups so much space - the host is great to work with and only about 10-15 min from Clemson University- Go Tigers!!!!

Exceeded Expectations

Incredible location, such a blessing to get to stay at this house, it met all of our needs and exceeded all of our expectations. So thankful for the opportunity and the wonderful experience with the owner. We would love to go back soon!

Large family lakehouse reunion

Lakehouse was perfect size with the eight bedrooms. Large kitchen areas. Just a short walk down to the dock and water where we spent most of the day and evening sunsets. Only suggestion is to update downstairs refrigerator (rack broken) and downstairs stove ;(surface area and door gets very hot) We had a great time.

Family Reunion/Vacation

The property was a great place for our large group. John was so easy and accommodating to work with. He responded quickly and made our stay great for our all. We enjoyed the lake and the fact that you could drive down to the dock. That helped our senior adults immensely. Would rent again!

Great "cousin camp" location

Everything about this property was great. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy each other at the same time. Every year in August, our family tries to meet for a long weekend to catch up and spend some quality time visiting and of course eating!! The house was spacious and the two kitchens were definitely a plus. The lake was wonderful and we all enjoyed swimming, kayaking, making up a little friendly competition in both. The owner was absolutely great. He responded quickly and called, even after emailing to make sure I had the information I needed to access the rental. I would recommend this place again and I think our family will certainly be coming back...

Great space for large family.

This property facilitated our family of 8 adults and 9 children. Don't let the picture deceive you. The house had Jack and Jill bathrooms between 3 sets of bedrooms in addition to 2 more bathrooms. The two large kitchen eating space was super. We served breakfast upstairs and lunch/dinner downstairs. Our grandchildren were young so they lived and swam in lifejackets when on dock. We had 2 9x7 floating pads which helped for water safety. The water was deep at end of dock. It's a 15 minute boat ride to Clemson marina to rent a boat. Nice coves in area for tubing. A 14 inch catfish was caught off the dock!

Great for the whole family!

Great place for the whole family! The walk to the dock is not too steep and you can drive your gear down if you need to. Lake is beautiful! On the website the bedrooms are numbered, but at the house the doors have letters. Makes it hard to figure out where everyone is sleeping. Owner is super easy to talk to and let know about things that are needed. Some beds and things may need a little update. But over all it's a great place for the family to hang out. Plenty of room! Glad we found this place this year!

Perfect for large groups.

We had a wonderful stay. The walk to and from the dock was no stairs! Yes, it’s a small hill but easier on the knees. The house was well kept and had everything we needed. The lake is deep at the dock, perfect for jumping and diving. The owner was helpful and easy to get ahold of if needed.

Great Vacation Spot

Great property, plenty of room in the house for our family of 24 celebrating my 70th Birthday. One of few lakefront properties where we were able to drive my disabled husband right to the dock! Lake Hartwell is beautiful and swimming off the dock was great for the kids! Friendly neighbors, fully equipped house, plenty of patio chairs for my large family. Fabulous week! Best Birthday ever! ❤️
