Holiday Lodge on Green Bay

Get away to tranquility and listen to the waves splash against the shore in this beautiful waterfront home. Recently remodeled and ready for you to enjoy beautiful sunrises and coffee on the deck overlooking Green Bay. You have the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere but the convenience of a short drive to downtown Sturgeon Bay. You may choose to do nothing but relax, or you can tour the Door County peninsula and visit the beautiful parks, wineries or spend the day fishing. After a full day of exploring the Door County peninsula, return to the peaceful lull of the waters of Green Bay.

Nearby you will find plenty of activities and adventures. If you golf, Idlewild Golf Course is a short drive from Holiday Lodge as well as many restaurants and shopping. Try a traditional Door County Fish Boil - it's delicious!

We provide linens and towels or you can bring your own. There is a grill for you to cook out and a chimnea for a cozy outdoor fire.

Our dock is scheduled to be installed the first half of May. Please NOTE: It is recommended that you DO NOT leave your watercraft tied out overnight. Because we are on the open waters of the Bay of Green Bay, the weather/winds can shift without notice and become volatile.

Make yourself at home and rest assured that we are only a text away if you have questions or concerns. Someone is nearby to assist should the need arise.

Cozy and peaceful

Clean, quiet, and beautiful location and home. Great place for a peaceful family vacation on the waterfront, where water shoes are a must. Cozy beds, fully working kitchen and appliances for those quick and easy meals. Clean bathrooms and the washer and dryer was convenient to use when needed. Outside trees are perfect for a hammock and a summertime afternoon nap.

Perfect!!

The house & location was perfect! We have absolutely no complaints. The house was very clean & well supplied. The check in & check out process was easy and the owners were very nice & accommodating. Between my sisters and I we will be back with our respective families. We loved it especially the view from the back patio & dock.

Great location nice house

My group of 5 friends had a nice week in Door County. The only negative was with how VRBO communicates with the guest. I do not have email on my phone. Therefore once I left my home there was no more communication. In the past homes we stayed in had notebooks with hints and checkout instructions. This place did not. We were flying blind on the checkout instructions. When I got home found the email from the day before with the instructions. Too late. That would be my only suggestion. We had a great time and enjoyed watching the lake.

Vacation in Door County

Enjoyed the property and stay. There were only 3 washcloths for 5 people for the week. The bath mat upstairs bathroom has black mold on the underside. Unable to reach the pull chains on the fans to turn off and on in the bedrooms.

Watching the waves roll into the shore while I'm typing! Exactly what i wanted in terms of location and space for 4 adults and two young children. Great jumping off place for the rest of Door County.

What a wonderful place to spend a holiday! peaceful, relaxing and the home had everything you needed to enjoy a vacation. We found the twin beds hard to sleep on. The host was excellent with communication so check in and check out were simple.

Great House, Great Hosts, Outstanding Views

My father-in-law lives about three hours from Sturgeon Bay, and as he gets older, we were looking to find a place where we would all enjoy meeting up as a family. None of us had ever been to Sturgeon Bay or Door County, and after a day or so, we were already talking about coming back next summer and staying at Holiday Lodge. The bests things about this home are the hosts--who clearly value cleanliness and go above and beyond to set you up for arrival--and, most importantly, the deck that overlooks the water. It's a beautiful setting, with trees around, about 20 feet of lawn, and then a rocky few feet to the water. We spent most of our time as a family out here, enjoying the breeze and the views. Since I chose the house, my wife and I were also rewarded with the upstairs bedroom that has its own balcony facing the water. Morning coffee with that view was worth the 8-hour drive for us! The inside of the house was also comfortable, with a kitchen, a large table (where we took turns on working on a VERY hard puzzle that was supplied in the games closet), and 5 bedrooms, with a full bath on each floor. One example of the small touches which we appreciated were the multiple fans around the house. I always wonder why hosts don't do this more, especially since it meant that we had the A.C. off most of the time (even when it got slightly warm in the afternoon). In the end, we were 100% satisfied with Holiday Lodge. It's a great value, too, so I'm sure we will return!

Great girls weekend!

Our group of 5 stayed here for a long girls weekend and it was perfect! Loved that it was right on the water and easy to get to. The host was very responsive when we had questions. Would absolutely stay again when we come back to Door County!!

Home away from home

Very nice home right on the bay. Able to walk out and go swimming or relax on the dock. Make sure you bring water shoes as there are very large rocks in the water, but still a great place to swim. There are a few beaches not far from the house. Great space to sit and relax in with the family as well as lots of things to do during the day around the peninsula. The upstairs is a bit warm in the summer, but the owners provided fans for each room and we brought one of our own. My husband is a hot body so we tend to pack a fan all the time. Owners were very quick to respnd with any questions we had. I would recommened a 10 out of 10.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

My grandparents had a cottage not far from here in Idlewild. There are so many happy family memories that have been shared about the area. Each time my mom talked about her visits up here in her younger years, I could see her travel back in time to a place that she held very near and dear to her heart. My wish is to pass on that legacy to future generations and be reminded that it's all about making memories that will last a lifetime

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The best thing about being here is that you have peace and quiet without hustle and bustle all around you. Most likely you chose our home because you need that break from everyday "noise". BUT, you are only a car drive away from all of the activities and shopping that you can pack into a day. Drive north up the Green Bay side and back down on the Lake Michigan side. Your options are endless for sight-seeing, hiking, golfing, shopping, dining........did I miss anything? Wineries, distilleries, trolley tours........ok, how about now....... Actually, I am sure there is more so feel free to share your adventures with us!
