Granero remodelado en el valle de Champlain

El granero que está junto a mi casa de 200 años fue reconstruido el año pasado en un increíble retiro de 1 habitación y 1 baño. Es espacioso, bien equipado y de ensueño. Después de la reconstrucción completa, el granero ahora es un espacio de vida híbrido con marco de madera altamente eficiente que utiliza materiales originales y reciclados y lo último en productos de eficiencia energética.

El área es serena y está rodeada de belleza pero cerca de todo tipo de emoción. Hay rutas de senderismo bien mantenidas a poca distancia, puede tomar el ferry a Burlington para ir a restaurantes y hacer compras o tomar el tren a Montreal. El movimiento de la comida está en pleno apogeo aquí y esa es otra atracción agradable. En la ciudad de Essex, hay un maravilloso estudio de yoga, el lago Champlain Yoga & Wellness, varios restaurantes y una historia interesante.

El granero es una escapada tranquila y privada con vistas a la montaña, a 3. 5 millas de Essex y el lago Champlain: cómodo durante todo el año, con aire acondicionado en verano y calefacción eficiente y una estufa de leña para los meses fríos. ¡Las fotos lo dicen todo!

Everything about this stay was incredible. The photos don't actually do the barn justice and the photos are pretty nice! This is the best appointed rental we've ever stayed in. Audrey was a great host, full of local knowledge and extremely accommodating. Would recommend time and time again!

Audrey's barn, located in the beautiful Champlain Valley, offers stunning sunrise views and beautiful mountain scenery minutes from Lake Champlain. It provided the perfect peaceful retreat after full days of family reunion activities. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking and baking equipment. Audrey made us feel right at home and graciously accommodated our needs.

Essex retreat

We went up for a family wedding and stayed in this beautiful restored barn in Essex. The house was beautiful and very comfortable, pet friendly and has great views. Nearby hiking and near the waterfront town of Essex where you can get a ferry to Vermont. Would highly recommend

Magical

We had a family reunion here and rented both this property and the main farm house. It was just perfect. There are great hiking trails nearby and the adorable waterfront town of Essex is 5 miles away. Audrey (the host) is super cool, and she has a gaggle of farm creatures that love to be petted. If you want to step back into a time we all long for, this is the place.

Relaxing and comfy place

We had an amazing stay, and great sleep, the place is very well thought of and is so comfy and cozy, while still being spacious enough. It has everything you need and the location is perfect for hikes in the region as well as for taking the ferry to visit Vermont. Audrey is kind hearted and has a particular attention to details that helped us make our stay even better with very good communication and recommendations of things to do nearby. We wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely pass by again next time we are in the region. Great views and petting the horses were a plus! :)

Lovely, relaxing stay

The property is beautiful, the barn apartment is modern and comfortable. Would definitely recommend for folks who like to hike and just get out of a city environment - a ton of trails nearby and the views will make you forget you are in NY. Audrey was a gracious host and very helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed a few local restaurants in the area and did some hiking in Vermont as well.

Amazing. Wouldn't change a thing and wish I were still there!

This place is a unique gem. It was very comfortable, clean, and cozy, and I loved the design and furnishings so much. The location was beautiful and peaceful. It was far enough away to feel like you were getting away yet close enough to amenities, unique stores, Lake Champlain, Burlington, VT, and the Adirondacks to the West. The natural setting was charming, and the friendly goats and hens added to that charm. Audrey was very friendly and the perfect host. I can't thank her enough for letting me stay at her special place, and I hope to visit again.

Great place to recharge

The owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful with information about local activities and restaurants. The cabin was wonderfully appointed and very comfortable. Next time we choose to travel to this lovely region of the Adirondack this will be our accommodations of choice.

A Gem in Essex Countryside!

Refreshing, and Unique! That’s I would describe my stay at Audrey’s cabin. A very well thought out and eclectic decor for a small barn/cabin. There are animals to enjoy, countryside vistas, and you can see great sunsets, Camel’s Hump, Mount Mansfield, VT, across Lake Champlain. The drive there alone is very relaxing. There are several small towns in the area with crafts (Wood, pottery, ironwork), small cafes with local food and nice people to talk to. Very close to the Ferry as well, and 2 hours from Montreal, QC. Started the New Year there, with cool, crisp Winter air. I will definitely plan on returning in different seasons.

The barn and surrounding areas were awesome. The town of Essex is very quaint and we loved the outdoor patio in the evenings with the fire pit. Audrey is a very gracious host and we loved our stay there.

Relaxing

My wife and I were so comfortable and relaxed during our stay. The barn was just perfect, fully equipped kitchen, the restored barn was wanting for nothing. We enjoyed meeting the fouls and goats, and the scenery was just beautiful. Wonderful place to spend quiet time. Enjoyed meeting and chatting with the owner the day of our departure as well. Keith

Beautiful space and location!

This is an idyllic renovated barn, which is new and beautifully decorated. We loved the space! We didn't need it, but there is air conditioning. It is quiet and rural. The owner is just lovely, and we met her sweet dogs while we were there. If you wish you can visit her dwarf goats, which are really cute. The location is like a country paradise- conveniently located near the Essex, which is very pretty. There is a convenient car (or bike) ferry if you wish to take a quick jaunt over to VT, so there is a lot to do in a 30 mile radius. If you like biking, walking or jogging, these hills are made for you. Audrey supplies lots of brochures for activities, hiking, sightseeing and dining. This is one of our new favorite areas in New England and we hope to come back some day!

Adirondack Getaway

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the barn. From the moment I walked in I fell in love with it’s charm. It is filled with natural light and very charmingly furnished. It is also very comfortable and has everything you may need for an enjoyable stay. I hope to return one day in the fall to enjoy the wood burning stove and see the leaves change.

Relaxing

This property was very well-appointed. Full fridge and kitchen, including a gas range, all the pots and pans a good cook would appreciate, eclectic dishes. The renovated 'barn' is efficient and very comfortable. In fact, I would say that while the pictures give a pretty good idea of what to expect, the property over-delivered. It's beautiful. Audrey was very friendly and attentive. There is a great little 'guidebook' regarding local recommendations. Do yourself a favor and listen to Audrey. This is definitely a place to come to wind down and relax. Easy daily walks with our dog, lots of trails in the woods, and local mountains. The property is within easy drive of many destinations - VT, Lake Placid, Plattsburgh. We can highly recommend this property to others.

The whole property is very beautiful, but the remodeled barn is now incredibly special--everything is brand new, while keeping it's old charm and barn feel. I think the addition of my adorable horses really makes this destination unique and fun. Trails surround the property, the lake is there to be used, the ferry to VT is so handy, the antique and historic town of Essex and the mountains, all conspire to create a sense of rural peace with modern amenities.
