Long Barn Cottages: 3 casas de vacaciones contiguas en Callington con pesca gratuita, piscina cubierta, bañera de hidromasaje y gimnasio.

Tres impresionantes casas de vacaciones situadas en 4 acres encantadores con vistas al campo y al lago. En el corazón del valle de Tamar, cerca de Callington, este es un lugar rural tranquilo con excelentes conexiones de transporte.

Ash, Beech & Hawthorn cabañas son nuestra idea de la escapada perfecta al campo. Situado en el borde de la finca Trehill compartida con las 4 cabañas Trehill, tienen maravillosas vistas hacia adelante y hacia atrás.

Lovely cottages in peaceful surroundings, yet within easy reach of main roads giving access to shops, beaches and other attractions. It was the perfect family meet up location, easily catering for 10 adults and 4 children. The small play area and pool were enjoyed by the adults and children alike.

Everyone loved it

I rented 3 connected cottages, they were very clean and well equipped. The whole family loved it. Facilities were great, very relaxing and the views and location was so peaceful. The indoor pool and hot tubs were ideal for the little ones. Will definitely consider retuning. Lots to do with the kids although about a 30 mins drive. Trethorne leisure was great for kids of all ages.

Absolutely wonderful stay.

Our group of 16 rented the long barn. The three properties were exactly as listed. Clean, welcoming, beautiful located with plenty of space. The men enjoyed the fishing and the kids loved the large space to play. The cottages were full of character, and the facilities were easy to use and plentiful. Great swimming pool and games room. Local supermarket nearby and easy to reach. Lovely and quiet in the evenings. Could not recommend highly enough.

the female propritor

the female propritor we dealt with on the telephone and in person was very unwelcoming and borderline rude. she made us feel very uncomfortable and on edge the whole weekend. the male proprietor was very helpful and was much more welcoming.

We appreciate all constructive feedback and will of course take on board these comments. In this instance we were faced with a difficult guest who wanted to bring a dog at the last minute in spite of our no pets policy. We understand that these are difficult decisions, however the guest simply refused to take no for an answer. We apologise if eventually we had to give the guest the clearest possible answer to their request. We take great pride in providing guests with a warm welcome. In this instance we feel that the pet issue perhaps overshadowed it.

Family holiday

Fantastic holiday accommodation, had everything we needed and the property itself is spacious and comfortable. The amenities were excellent, no complaints whatsoever. The only point I would raise was that some of the beds were very creaky, but this in no way detracted from our enjoyment of the holiday. Would definitely return, the age range within our group of 16 was from 9 months to 83 yrs, and everyone had a wonderful time!

Amazing cottages with fantastic facilities

We were 2 families of 8 who have been going away for over 20 years together. We were greeted by the owners who went through everything with us. We hired the outside hot tub for the weekend and although it was November used this more than the indoor one. The only negative was we had no hot water/heating in one of the cottages Ash for a day Neville did try and fix it. We used the facilities in the pool area so this realky wasn't a problem for us but thats why we have given the 4 star rating. We would definitely book again and Snowy the Donkey was an added bonus. Thank you Frances and Neville. Kind regards

Lovely Stay

Group of 15, we rented the long barns. On arrival we were greeted by the owners who gave us a full details of the cottages, surrounding areas and covered all the safety procedures needed. The long weekend was rather wet but there were lots of things to keep us occupied, swimming, fishing and the lovely area. We would definitely recommend staying here and I'm sure we'll be back.

A Great weekend home from home for a family getaway.

Frances welcomed us on arrival with useful information for our stay. We have had a comfortable weekend enjoying each other a company with plenty to entertain the youth. Getting the temperature of the heating and hot water right was a bit of a challenge. There was plenty of space for all the family - 12 adults and two children - spread across the three cottages. Thank you.

Great location , good value for money, lovely setting

We arrived late on monday afternoon 15th may, we had booked all 3 cottages .. For a family holiday 😊15 of us ..They are all lovely spacious cottages with every thing you need.. The only small down side was the standard of cleanliness .. Bins were left mucky & sinks needed bleaching .. & everything in the kitchens needed washing before using ! None of the cottages smelt fresh on arrival & the same applied to the towels 😕 But nothing that hot soapy water couldnt put right .. The bedding was nice & fresh 😊..All Cottages were nice & warm but hot water was a little unpredictable when showering .. The pool is small but great for the children .. The hot tub a bit to chemically .. But nice & warm .. Grounds ,lakes ,play area & donkeys are all lovely .. The owneres were very nice on arrival & left us to ourselves even though they live in the same grounds .. We know the area well but im sure they would be only to happy to advise on places of interest to visit .. The cottages are in a good location for sight seeing all the favorite cornish places like Port Isaac, Looe , Padstow etc We would defiantly like to book the cottages again , we felt they were good value for money 😊

The rain and gales we had on your arrival day made it impossible to keep doors and windows open for more than a few seconds, which might have made the cottages feel a bit airless. We do apologise for this & assure you that our normal practice is to give them as good an airing as the weather allows! absolutely beautiful propertys in lovely settings

ideal for a large party of 14 as ours was. very easy to have your family get together for the evening meal, and also some quieter time when needed. not a problem for furniture tableware etc to be moved around.the owners were on site and very helpful. not sure who enjoyed the fishing most my husband, sons or grandchildren. they are a competitive bunch!! highly recommended and would certainly return.!!! something for everyone

Stopped at the Hawthorn cottage, which is the largest of the Long Barn cottages for a late half term get away. The whole family (myself, husband & 4 children) had a fabulous time. The cottage itself is very comfortable and furnished with a clean, modern design. Wood flooring, plenty of leather sofas. The granite kitchen was maybe a bit small but had everything we needed including an extra large fridge. All very nice. We never felt the need to check how to work the heating as it was always warm. The bedrooms were good size for a holiday home and we enjoyed having a wetroom attached to our bedroom. Although you sometimes do need to use the squeegee after a shower. This was no problem. The rather large TV was great for watching the supplied videos & we even had a BBQ one afternoon. Views from both front and back were very nice. The pool and gym were exceptional. The gym was small, but very well equipped, with a step machine, boke, treadmill and a multi-gym. Although the kids were not allowed to use it. The pool and hot tub were brill. The endless pool machine (once we were shown how to use it) was so simple to use & provided great entertainment (and even a bit of exercise). Although the pool is small, this machine more than compensated. The grounds themselves are lovely, with space to play football, donkeys, fishing (we didn’t fish but plenty of others wre & seemd to be catching quite a few) and a large games room. This was a real highlight with table tennis, table football (both free) and air hockey. There are supermarkets and pubs nearby (although nothing in walking distance) and the place was easy to find. A recommended place to stay.

Great familyl trip

This was just perfect. having three cottages meant we weren't all on top of each other. But the largest cottage Hawthorn has a lounge with seating for 16 as well as a dining table that we could all (just about) fit round. Loved having our own pool and hot tub & even managed a couple of sessions in the gym. The hosts were very helpful. All in a great trip. See separate review for Hawthorn cottage on its own

A Great Family Holiday

We rented the entire Long Barn - Beech, Ash and Hawthorne cottages - for an extended family of fifteen in total, including eight adults and seven children. It all worked out beautifully, with a nice mix of communal and private spaces - we would all eat dinner and breakfast together, and retrest to our seperate cottages when we wanted bit more privacy. The Long Barn was within easy reach of many interesting locations - beaches, woods, walks and even a day trip to the Eden Project, as well as to Looe and Polperro. The cottages were well appointed, clean and spacious with good facilities. The pool and hot tub were well used during showery weather, and a couple of us even used the gym. The only reason this doesn't get five stars is because we had trouble with the hot water supply to the bath in Hawthorne. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful, but weren't able to fix this for us, much as they tried. We would definitely recommend this accommodation as a wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful weekend break

Despite the weather, we had a great stay here. The cottages were warm and very nicely furnished. Great views from both the front & back & we even managed to get a bit of fishing done. The pool & gym were really useful when it rained. All in a really great place to stay.
