Nice Place

Overall this was a nice house for our Indiana Beach vacation. Perfect size for 6 people and well stocked with all the necessities plus extras. Plenty of blankets, pillows, towels, etc, lots of games and solid internet speed. Many extra amenities like first aid supplies, a gas grill and a really nice fire pit. The house is located in an excellent location as well with a very short walk to the boardwalk. The house is an A frame, and the 2 bedrooms upstairs do not have complete ceilings. The wall facing the loft does not reach the top and are open, so there were some issues at night with lights and sounds from the first floor affecting the sleeping kids. There are also no shades on the windows, they only have sheer curtains, so it was not possible to block out all exterior lights at night or early morning. Outside was an ok but not ideal situation for the dog - the yard is roomy and open, but there is no front gate, so it's not entirely enclosed and we needed to keep our dog on the lead whenever he was outside. There's a garage sized cottage in the front yard where the owner sometimes stays when there are guests in the house, this was a little weird for us, even though there were no interactions we sometimes felt like we were being watched. Response time from the owner can be slower than expected. Messages sent both via the VRBO app and direct texting sometimes took a day or two to get a response both before the trip started and during our stay.

Family vacation

The house is nice and close to park entrance. The deck could've been cleaned and a lot of weeds going down to the dock. We all had a great time.

Excellent location and nicely stocked.

We stayed here over fathers day weekend. Excellent location at the park entrance and walking distance to boat rental. Gold cart is a bonus! Excellent views of the lake/park from the back porches.Very well stocked house with everything you could think off! Cathy was very accomidating!

This is the perfect house for a nice get away! Very cozy house right on the water with a beautiful view! Kathy is very friendly and accommodating! The house is supplied with everything you would need. 10/10 would rent here again!!

Fall weekend stay

Kathy was great! She was easy to communicate with and the lake house we perfect. It’s located next to everything and love the view. Excited to stay again in June when it’s warmer.

A truly amazing experience

Putting it lightly, this property is amazing. If you’re looking for a family friendly experience this is the place for you. It’s right next to Indiana beach , and super close to any and all amenities you could ever need. Restaurants, stores, etc. We stayed for the weekend and had a small birthday party for my son and a few family members. It was a blast , putting it in my sons words. This house is perfect for a family vacation or a weekend getaway. Kathy truly raises the bar for all Vrbo owners. She was a pleasure to meet and one kindest souls you’ll ever interact with. It blew my expectations away. This listing is a true gem . You won’t regret booking with Kathy . A truly amazing experience.

Family Indiana Beach Weekend

This place was GREAT to stay under one roof with family. Teenagers were able to come and go to Indiana Beach Amusement Park while adults stayed back to cook and make a bon fire. Very clean Lake house, excellent views with Lake access. Bring your tube to float by dock and go swimming! Such a Great place the family wants to do it again next year and add an extra day! Thank you Kathy!! Absolutely Wonderful!!

Disappointed

We were surprised and disappointed that the house does not have central air. The upstairs was too hot to sleep in. We had to sleep downstairs on the couch. Downstairs bedroom has no window shade for privacy and very small. No ceiling fan. The remodeled kitchen was very nice. The rest of the house needs an update. The location is great and within walking distance of the amusement park which was great! It said there would be wood for the fire pit but there was none. Bring your own! Overpriced for what we got!

Hidden Gem of Paradise

I can't say enough good things about this place! Our family had the best time & made so many fun memories. The view of the lake & Indiana Beach amusement park from the deck & dock was amazing. This house was fully stocked with everything you could think of - very impressed & exceeded our expectations in every way. So peaceful & relaxing!!

Bedrooms upstairs are not closed off. You can hear everything upstairs and down. Bedroom downstairs size of large closet. (Not really a bedroom)

Beautiful place to stay right on the water

The house was beautiful, clean and spacious. It was perfect for a great weekend away to catch up with family and friends. The host was wonderful as well. I would recommend this stay to anyone!

I bought this house years ago as a way to bring my family together for summer outings. I have had many great events at the lake house and want to open the property to others to create great memories.

Walking distance to Indiana Beach for go-and -return break at the lake house. Monticello has many fun things to do and great restaurants. But if you want to relax, the lake house has all you need for fun and relaxation with the beautiful lake view from the deck.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This 1926 house has great character...and many renovations to make it modern in every way. Legend has it that the house next door was Al Capone's summer house! The house is heated so it can be an off season place to stay while going to Purdue football games!
