Esta casa fue construida en un bolsillo de la plantación de cacao y de espaldas a la selva primaria. Comience su día perfecto con un chapuzón en la piscina mientras observa a los monos jugar en lo alto. Y después de un largo día de kayak, senderismo, snorkel, regrese a este refugio perfecto para revitalizarse. ¡Playa Negra está a solo 5 minutos en coche y la zona de restaurantes Cahuita y el Parque Nacional están a 10 minutos!

Great Location!

We had a great time in Cahuita. I highly recommend the area, it fantastic.The location of the property was great, surrounded by thick jungle and lots of wildlife. We managed to see howler monkeys, toucans of 2 different types, Sloths, and everything else you would find in a jungle. Ziplining and Slot

Private paradise

Everything and more is supplied in this large, perfectly appointed house. Pool was very welcome after a short hike to a gorgeous beach. Cahuita is a great little village to eat and shop.

Jungle adventure

This was a great location to uncrowded beaches, a jungle experience and close enough to town for great restaurant selections and music. We really enjoyed the wildlife all around and the cultural experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Pool maintenance was appreciated too!! Thank you for the memories in Costa Rica!!

Peace in the jungle

Jungle Oasis was the perfect place to relax and experience the true Costa Rica. The house was well maintained with huge bedrooms and bathrooms. Small issue with kitchen sink which was taken care of quickly. The response time was immediate. The pool was a welcome respite after spending time at the National Park with the sloths! Being out of town gave us the privacy we craved with only a short drive for groceries and restaurants. Excellent choice if you want peace and quiet, except for the howler monkeys (which were a treat). I highly recommend this property for location, cleanliness, host response, and accurate listing.

Amazing Place. Wonderful Pool

Great property. 10 minutes drive to the beach. Quiet, safe, as described. Good amenities. Spacious. Everything you would want. Note- The power did go off twice in the week. Once for an hour and once for 3+ hours. Not ideal but we lived.

Canadian 3 Generation Getaway

We had the best of time...a grandfather, daughter son-in-law and 1 year old granddaughter. Cohuita is a fabulous vacation for a liteny of reasons. The Caribbean shallow but in some places surfable. Wildlife in abundance...grab a guide at Cahuita National Park, Take in the Jaguar Rescue Tour, and make your own chocolate at an organic/historic cocao farm tour.

Home away from home

We've stayed here before. The host is fantastic. The property manager was responsive to any issues we had. Great communication, the property was clean , spacious and all amenities worked. It's very secluded but relatively close to town and the beach. It's best to have some form of transportation to get around as it isn't walking distance to anywhere. We recommend this property to everyone.

Secluded Location

The place is secluded and located on a private road with a gate for the road with 4 houses on and a gate to the property, felt very safe there, no bars on windows which is rare in Costa Rica it seems. If you want quiet except for the howler monkeys in the morning then this is the place for you. If you want to walk to bars and restaurants then not for you, but under a 15 min drive to all that. Pool is clean. House is lacking some items that your use to like hair dryer and iron but just read whats available and you will know. Grill needs to be thrown out. Inside items could do with an updating and pans cleaned or replaced. Suggest you take your own paper products. Communication with the host was professional and very quick responses, even sent a video for the last few miles drive to the property, also a waze point. All communication over whats app so good there. Good location to visit things in Limon and to the Panama border. Would stay again.

Great relaxing spot

We had a great stay at the Jungle Oasis. Pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing around. We loved that it was away from Cahuita a bit and had lots of trees to spot wildlife around. The walk to the beach took us about 20 minutes. We loved the stroll. We would stay again.

Wildlife haven and relaxing stat

The property was great for our needs. The pool was a wonderful way to relax after visiting the local area, Cahuita, Puerto Viajo and Manzanillo. Local supermarkets had everything we needed. There was a lot of bird life around including toucans, aracerys, black vultures and many other smaller but beautiful birds. Every morning we watched the howler monkeys moving through the trees on their regular route. We also saw capuchins and had a visit from a whole family of raccoons who raided the bananas ripening in the sun. Evenings outside were spent listening to the geckos, frogs and other sounds of the jungle. It is truly a wildlife paradise. We had a great time and the only thing to consider would be to have more tea towels and disinfectant products particularly with Covid appearing to return. Overall we couldn’t fault it or the communication with Margarette the owner or Jefry who was on hand to help as required.

The perfect family getaway home tucked in a charming jungle neighborhood!

We have been talking with the owner regarding this property since before the pandemic when we originally had planned to stay there. Unfortunately, we had to postpone the trip until this year (Dec 2022) when we finally got to go and stay in this amazingly charming property! This was exactly what we expected, and users need to understand the difference between a "hotel" and "home rental". Our kids (older teens) LOVED the house and especially the pool, and we all loved waking to the sounds of nature around us (howler monkeys at 5am/11am, birds (including Toucans!) 6am onward! We enjoyed sitting by the pool in the morning enjoying our coffee and just looking around. We also enjoyed many walks down to the beach (2km straight east) and in all directions around the property looking for animals (aside from birds and monkeys we saw green poison dart frogs, and a sloth closer to Playa Negro). The charming town of Cahuita is just 5km away and was perfect for us! Not like Puerto Veijo at all which is busier. We would drive into town every day for coffee, meals, shopping, or activities. The Cahuita National Park (a MUST for anyone visting this region) is right in the town of Cahuita, and we visited it several times. The house had everything we needed, and the local person who was assigned to help us was extremely prompt to look into any issues (of which we only had very minor issues - e.g., burnt out light bulbs). The air conditioning worked marvelously, and even though it was quite hot at that time, we almost had to shut it off at night as it almost too cold with it on. We felt like this was "our home" when we were there, and would LOVE to stay there again if we ever had the chance to go back! It truly was a "Jungle Oasis"!! Thanks for the memories!!!

Die schönste Unterkunft in Costa Rica!

Wir waren zunächst sechst hier & haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen- alles war sauber, alle Räume klimatisiert, die Küche hervorragend ausgestattet & bei Fragen immer ein Ansprechpartner verfügbar! Alle anderen Unterkünfte, in denen wir waren, konnten da nicht mithalten.

FAR, NEEDS A CAR, misleading

It’s far away from any services. It’s not in Cahuita, it is in “El Limonal”. Look at the map, it’s in the other side of the highway 36. In that location you’re to far away to take the bus that would take you to Cahuita or any beaches in town. You can’t walk or bike to anything from the property. It is intentionally misleading. I say this because the owner lied to me saying that she had 200 megas of fiber optic which is not true, it’s about 5 megas, not fiber optic. She also has a washer and a dryer that she would not let you use. The water is not drinkable, you will run out quickly of the first gallon provided and after that you have to get your own, same thing with trash bags, paper towels, etc. Stay somewhere else!

Great house & location

We stayed at Jungle Creek In December for 10 days and we enjoyed our time in this house. We love to cook; the kitchen was way more completed “kitchen wise” then other house we rented in Costa Rica before. We enjoyed the comfort of the master bedroom and master ensuite, great space!!! Both our boys had their separate bedrooms and bathrooms; it was perfect. The pool was great and we enjoyed the location very much. The howler’s monkeys were around the whole time as usual and just by the house the morning we left. It was sad to leave this place! Thank to our hosts, we’ll see you again 😊

We are a family that built this house for vacations. We decided to offer this premium property to guests when we are not available to stay there.

This house was designed in a center hall fashion. With Master and Ensuite on seperate side of the residence and having direct access to the pool/outdoor shower. The kitchen was designed and equipped to allow for you to prepare meals from the local markets. Or feel free to use the charcoal grill for outdoor cooking. Most of the wood used in the house was directly sourced from the property which spans 2 acres of land. This house is hidden in a secluded and quiet location (except for wildlife!) with most area attractions only minutes away.l
