A new, beautiful island-style luxury condo in Poipu's Pili Mai air-conditioned condominiums on Kauai's South Shore. Enjoy an amazing Kauai vacation in your tropical home away from home at Hale Honu.

This is a new unit and we have taken the time to determine what will be necessary and useful for our guests. Please contact us immediately if we have overlooked any necessities, so we can coordinate how best to accommodate. We are doing everything we can to provide a safe, healthy, and enjoyable experience for our guests. We follow an enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights:

Great hosts. Very accomodating, responsive, and helpful. Nice resort in good location. My husband and I felt very safe there. The home is very clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is very well stocked. It also has a water filter pitcher in the fridge and ice in the freezer. Powerful A/C. Super soft sheets and comfy beds. Lots of hangers, but no pant hangers. Lots of beach gear including umbrellas, chairs, towels, bags, coolers, snorkeling gear, boogie boards and more. The only downside was that both sliding doors with patio areas are adjacent to a sidewalk and road with light traffic. Not ideal for enjoying patio time or letting natural sunlight inside the unit (due to lack of privacy) if that's your thing. Overall, we enjoyed staying in this home.

Amazing in Kauai

Michelle and David are amazing hosts! From personal touches that make you feel welcomed like family, to a fully equipped condo that helps you enjoy your visit without any worries about “what if I need..?”. We fully enjoyed our stay and we look forward to when we can come back.

Wonderful Home and Location

We loved this home and its proximity to Popui and Brenneke Beach. The home was very well cared for and clean. Definitely the most stocked VRBO we have ever stayed at. The garage was full of everything you would need for a day at the beach or pool. Close proximity to excellent Restaurants and beautiful views. We loved staying in Koala and would definitely stay at this home again. Host communication was great and provided recommendations on restaurants and activities for our Family. Highly recommend!

Our unit was amazing, lots of room, everything u can think of was included…bikes, snorkeling gear for 6, beach chairs…kitchen was amazingly well stocked… and even when the ice machine froze up… Michelle came right over and fixed, even dropping off extra ice. Location was great as well.

Kauai in January

We had a great time in Kauai! This resort is close to shopping, beaches, and plenty of choices for food...from food trucks to fancy restaurants! We have stayed in Poipu many times but this had to be one of the best hosts we have ever had! From clear communications to even going the extra mile when we had potential issues due to weather from our departure city, they made our stay exceptional. We definitely will be back!

Wedded Bliss!

My now wife and I planned an elopement and vacation to Kauai and it has been wonderful so far! This Pili Mai condo is absolutely everything you could wish for and more; extremely clean and well-stocked, perfect location, and a home away from home in every sense of the phrase. The hosts were extremely communicative and helpful at every step in the process, and they have taken thoughtful measures to ensure guests have everything they need in this condo. No small detail has been overlooked! We could not have asked for a better stay - would recommend this condo 10x over and will absolutely stay here again in the future. You won’t regret booking here, especially if you prioritize privacy, cleanliness, comfort, ease of access to surrounding beaches and restaurants, and safety. 100/10 recommend!

Wanted for nothing!

The place was really well laid out well decorated very comfortable. It seems like every time we wanted something I needed some thing we were able to find it and we never wanted for anything while there. They had all the beach accoutrements that we could possibly need as well as bikes. The property manager was extremely accessible and responsive. One small plumbing issue with water flow in the guest bathroom that they were going to address after we left was not that big of a deal for us. This was a great experience, and I highly recommend it

Best hosts ever

This unit was very nice - it had everything you could ever need for a week in Kauai. It was set up to feel like a home. The hosts were the best - they communicated with ideas for things to do on the island shortly after booking. They left fresh fruit on the counter upon arrival and were always available with questions.

Fantastic

Wonderful property in a perfect location near Poipu Beaches on south Kauai. Every amenity is provided along with a gift basket upon arrival. Unit is well stocked along with everything you would need for the beach! Pool and fitness center right across the street. Michelle is an outstanding host that went out of her way to provide restaurant and activity recommendations prior to our arrival. Excellent communication from start to finish. She even brought us home made cinnamon rolls when she stopped by for a pre-scheduled maintenance appointment. Would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Kauai.

Celebrate a birthday and long overdue retirement.

We chose Kauai as it was most desirable island for the four of us. Kale Honu met every expectation of staying at a quality condo. We were very pleased with the complex and the amenities. The owners were over the top accommodating. Michelle and Dave were excellent hosts.

Perfection at Hale Honu

It is very hard to say enough about this wonderful place on Kauai near Poipu. The owners Michelle and David were kind, responsive, communicative, and remarkably thoughtful. Everything was impeccably clean, peaceful, classy/comfortable, so many essential things provided that other owners don’t. Basically it was perfect. Perfect for the two of us, and would still be perfect for six If possible I would like to give extra stars maybe like 7 out of 5 would feel more accurate. We obviously would stay again, and highly recommend!

Best Hosts Ever!

This was our second stay at Hale Honu! There are no words to express my gratitude for this wonderful Condo. Everything you need away from home is there. I remember a saying "If we don't have it, You don't need it". This is truly how I feel about this condo. The reason this is a wonderful place to stay is because the hosts/owners of this condo truly care about your stay and comfort while visiting. These hosts have a very deep Aloha spirit. It is the little things from a well organized kitchen, pantry, laundry, towels, supplies, beach essentials (chairs, umbrellas, wagon, beach toys etc), bikes, coolers etc... They have thought of everything! I cannot say enough kind words about these hosts. They even accommodated our early arrival. I love staying here because all I need to worry about is what adventure will we embark on today! This is truly a 5 Star Condo and if it were a restaurant it would have a Michelin Star! Once you stay here- you will forever be comparing to all other condo's you stay in... This is the best!

Wonderful stay at Hale Honu

We spent last week at Hale Honu and had a wonderful time, great stay and didn't want to leave. The property owners were very easy and eager to communicate with and we had no issues with the property during our stay. The property was extremely clean and nice and the spaces were well thought out and decorated nicely. The kitchen was supplied with most everything one could need to cook any meal. I've never stayed at a place that was so well stocked. The location was great. Poipu beach and shopping centers a 5 minute drive and the big grocery store in Koloa maybe 10 minutes. The pool, hot tub and gas grills (4 or 5?) were just across the road. Hope to be back soon!

Perfection!!!

My mom and I stayed in Michelle and David’s beautiful hale for 4 nights. It is absolute perfection! The hale was exceptionally clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed. There are so many wonderful things about this hale…very quiet, very clean, well stocked, dedicated parking spot right in front, washer/dryer, easy to get to nearby beaches, shopping, restaurants and Starbucks just down the road. It is in a great location. Easy to get to all areas of the island. The Pili Mai development is well kept and safe. Communication with Michelle was amazing! She answered questions quickly and provided information about the hale. She went above and beyond when I let her know that our flight was scheduled to arrive later in the evening. She sent over a list of grocery stores that would be open for us to grab a few things on our way. So sweet! She genuinely cares about her guests. I hope to return some day!!! Thank you!

I would absolutely give this property and host 10 stars if I could! From the moment we booked, Michelle and David demonstrated amazing communication. Their check in process was seamless and they offered help, should we need, every step of the way. We knew exactly everything that the home was stocked with, which helped with planning meals on the way to the property from the airport! The home was stocked with absolutely everything that one could possibly need, and then some!! You could really just bring your clothes and be all set! They even had spices and basic condiments…which was so nice. The location made traveling to all parts of the island easy and it was within 5 minutes or less to the best beaches we found, especially for families with young children. Michelle reached out to make sure we knew about major road closures that could have impacted our drive back to the airport had she not texted us. I really couldn’t speak more highly of these hosts and this property. We would stay here again without hesitation!! Thank you, Michelle and David!

Perfect Poipu stay

We had a wonderful time at our trip to Kauai. Condo is spacious, clean and just as advertised. The tasty treats were appreciated as well as the well-stocked kitchen. There was even an instantpot in the cupboard! Michelle responded quickly to a minor issue at the condo that was remedied quickly and did not affect our stay. The pool was beautiful and well-maintained. We loved the daily am coffee with the chickens on the lanai. Safe property which was close to everything including a conference I attended at the Grand Hyatt. Would happily stay here again in the future. Thank you!

Luxurious home away!

Superb condo. Very modern and well decorated. We have rented several condos but none have ever been as well equipped as this one. Thank you for the bikes and beach equipment which were very useful during our stay. Wow! Wow! Wow!

I’ve stayed at multiple condos within the Pili Mai complex but this one was a notch above all the rest. It was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and I appreciated all the extra details such as a big welcome gift tray, fresh orchids in each room, and Malie products. Michelle has thought of everything you might need, so I enjoyed using the beach equipment, bicycles, and using the fully stocked kitchen. It was truly a luxurious oasis and I highly recommend staying here. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Absolutely wonderful property and experience! I highly recommend this property. The communication from Michelle was nothing short of perfect; she was very prompt in her replies to questions and super informative regarding property details as well as the island in general. In terms of the property listing, it was exactly as listed. The property was extremely clean when we arrived and it was stocked with everything you could think of. Prior to our arrival I contacted Michelle and inquired about the availability of a crock pot. Michelle went well above and beyond and purchased one for us to use during our stay which we used on several occasions. On another occasion she dropped off local bananas from her property which were so delicious! This level of attention to detail is “next level” hospitality and we very much appreciated it! Additionally, the welcome gift on the counter (full of local treats, fruits, and coffee) was a terrific surprise when we arrived and was such a fun and welcoming addition to the experience. The extras were a wonderful touch! It was very nice to be able to utilize the beach equipment that was included in the garage. The community pool, work out facility, and BBQ areas were places we frequented often and gave a home away from home experience. The bottom line is we just could not have asked for a better experience. Many thanks to David and Michelle for a wonderful property and their tremendous attention to detail! Perfect home away from home

This was our first experience using VRBO and Michelle and David set the bar high. From the moment we booked our stay we felt at ease that we would have the perfect space for our family. They were so responsive throughout the entire process. We were traveling with our 3 young children (all under 7) Hale Honu was stocked with everything we needed and then some. They went above and beyond with all the tiny details that made our trip even more enjoyable. From the amazing welcome basket with local fruits and treats to having a pack n play and highchair for our baby. The garage was stocked with wonderful beach items and so much more. It was those details that made our trip so much easier and we could put our focus on making memories. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful place to stay. It was the perfect home away from home and we cannot wait to come back! We wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

This beautiful home is completed with every amenity you might want In paradise. I’m not certain where to begin but this home is so comfortable from the moment you walk in to the first morning when you are enjoying coffee on the lanai while wild chickens wander through the yard. We were greeted with an incredible basket of local fruit and goods, Thank you . This place just didn’t stop producing enjoyment. From the fun bicycles to the perfect temp pool we had a blast each day. We even used the grills one night. They are spread around and kept clean and full of propane. Let me sum it up with this, when I return I will be looking to book this same home and so should you. Mahalo
