Este no es un estudio compacto, sino una villa privada grande y espaciosa de un dormitorio con techos altos de madera del Caribe y un nicho con dos camas individuales adicionales para descansar o un lugar para visitar a la compañía / niños para dormir. La cocina es completamente nueva en 2019 con una isla y un bar con capacidad para 2 personas para disfrutar de las comidas y el café de la mañana con un cruasán fresco de la cercana tienda especializada "Bread & Butter", que también se puede recorrer en French-Side of Oyster Pond.

Magnificent

Hard to imagine a more beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing place than this "Butterfly" penthouse. Perfect for a couple who want beauty and privacy, with their own pool, and the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean just minutes away. The host, Lee, makes everything so easy. We stayed here in 2021, and again last week. It was wonderful the first time, and even better this time.

Wonderful Villa

Everything about Lee’a place is awesome. Great views, well stocked with appliances and cooking utensils etc. The villa was very very clean, we did not see one insect, which is unheard of! We loved the quiet, safe location in Oyster pond, convenient to great restaurants as well. Communicating with the hosts was easy, they gave excellent recommendations and responded with any question we had very quickly. Side note, there are reusable bags you can borrow for grocery shopping in the villa so make sure you grab those before heading to the store (otherwise you may have to purchase you own). Definitely recommend Lees place & would stay here again!

Oyster Pond Gem!!

From the moment we walked in we knew we would have a fantastic 3 week stay. The apartment has all the amenities you need to cook a nice meal or take the cooler & beach chairs to explore one of the gorgeous beaches nearby. The location is secure and set up on a hillside with views you will never tire of. We found the property very centrally located and would recommend a car rental to give you the freedom to visit all corners of the island. There is good wifi onsite whether in the apartment or by the pool, which you will probably have all to yourself! The owners, Lee & Pat, were easy to communicate with and their host, Guy, is readily available for any questions you may have. Thanks again!

Vista Marina ButterflyVilla - Outstanding!

The Vista Marina property is very well kept. The property has beautiful Palm trees and flowering shrubs. The Villa Butterfly is where we stayed. The Villa is open concept with plenty of room. The deck is the best with great views and always a breeze. From the deck you can enjoy beautiful sunrises. The swimming pool and deck were very enjoyable. There are good restaurants nearby. Make sure to visit "Bread and Butter", a French bakery. The beaches are wonderful and a short drive from the villa. Coolers and beach chairs were available for trips to the beaches. The Villa is well represented in the pictures. The host was very accommodating. We visited for several weeks this winter and will be going back this coming winter. The weather is beautiful!

Butterfly Suite

My husband and I spent 16 nights at this property and had the most enjoyable experience ever. Although Lee and Pat were not there they were easily accessible and quick to respond to any questions we had with great recommendations throughout the island. The space was exceptionally clean and the hosts have equipped the space with every detail from the kitchen supplies to the beach chairs and towels for their guests. The location is ideal for easy travel to the beach and has several restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. The grounds were well maintained and the pool temperature was perfect!! The villa also had an incredible balcony that overlooked the entire bay above an outstanding pool with magnificent sunrises, if you are an early riser. There is a barbecue and gas oven, if you want to cook at home and grocery stores are fairly close by although I would recommend renting a car to access the island more conveniently. Thank you both for sharing your villa with us. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing spot

We stayed in the Butterfly Suite for two weeks at the end of March, beginning of April 2023 and cannot say enough about our time there. The view from the balcony is fabulous and the ocean breeze provided the fresh air that made the air conditioner redundant. there are several restaurants within a two minute drive. We recommend Oasis (try the salmon), BZH (the Red Snapper) and of course Mama's Pizza. For breakfast and lunch you should try L'Escale (shows up as L'Petite Pause on GoogleMaps). The villa is located on the Dutch side of island but only a minute from the border. It is clean and comfortable and the wifi is excellent. The driveway takes some getting used to (yes you will need a car) but if you drive around the island, you'll notice that most driveways are going up one hill or down another. To make a long review short, we loved our stay and would definitely go back. The sargassum was a problem on some beaches but there is always another beach around the corner. it really is the Friendly Isle.

Perfect place!

The Butterfly Suit was just right for our couples getaway! The Villa is spacious, very clean and had everything you need for a relaxing vacation including plenty of beach towels, a cooler and beach chairs to use to explore the island. The location is perfect, Oyster Pond is a very clean and quiet area of St. Martin but has everything you could need near by. We loved going to all the restaurants just down the road. Our favorites were Oasis, BZH and Mama’s. We also frequented Bread and Butter Market for fresh French baguettes, pastries and random groceries. Other things we did… We hiked over to Babit Point, which is just on the other side of Oyster Pond from the Villa. It was an easy hike/walk with beautiful views and we even got to see the 3 local donkeys that live there. We also did a 6 hour snorkel trip with Captain Alan’s Boat Charter. It was a great day out on the water and they are based out of Oyster bay Beach Resort which is a just a short walk from the Villa. Definitely recommend this trip! All in all, The Butterfly Suit has everything you could need for a great vacation. Thank you, Lee, for having us and we look forward to coming back in the future!

Peace and private with amazing views

My partner and I stayed for 2.5 weeks at Lee's amazing villa. It was largely a working vacation, and provided exactly what we'd hoped for. You will have this spacious penthouse unit with open, light-filled floorplan to yourselves--big outfitted kitchen, high ceilings, counter seats, dining table, couch and TV, master bed through folding doors, and two smaller napping or visitor beds in a nook off the living room. However, we spent much of our time on the terrace that extends the length of the apartment--grilling, eating, stretching out. Because the villa is high on the hill, you will have views over the entire bay and out to the ocean and St. Barts. You can also--as we did--end each day with a refreshing dip in the small adjacent pool that is nearly private, shared only with the owners and one other apartment. The "pink pearl" of Oyster Pond is rather removed from any of the main towns, which provided a serene and peaceful stay, so we recommend renting a car--which is very reasonable on island--to visit the larger beaches, towns, and restaurants further afield on both the Dutch and French sides (as you sit right on the border!). We were able to easily control the temperature in the apartment through a combination of air conditioning, fans, and open windows, and the wifi was strong enough to work throughout our stay. Lee is a detail-oriented host and thorough and responsive communicator, both before and during one's stay. While we did not have the pleasure of meeting Lee and Pat who were out of town, Guy--whom they'd deputized in their stead--was proactive and helpful, offering recommendations and providing any assistance we needed. You would be lucky to choose Lee's villa for your stay in Sint Maarten/Saint Martin. Enjoy your stay!

Het appartement is zeer fraai gelegen, het interieur is gezellig, doelmatig en zeer netjes.Het uitzicht is fantastisch en in de buurt ligt een zeer fijne Italiaan, en Franse bakker.Dagelijks is happy hour bij het nabijgelegen hotel en op loopafstand vind je een mooi strand. Wat wil een mens nog meer.

Beautiful place, great area

This is a wonderful place to stay. The owner and property manager are both very kind and responsive - they take care of you and make you feel special (and every recommendation they made was excellent). The flat is very clean and well equipped, the bed in the main bedroom (we didn’t try the singles in the living room) and couch are very comfortable, kitchen has everything you need and the highlight by far is the beautiful huge patio which has a stunning view and gets great sun and shade and the gorgeous swimming pool which we had to ourselves. We loved the area it was so lovely and the view is astonishing plus you get gorgeous trade winds that keep you cool at night. We could easily walk to a great pizza place and French bakery and to Dawn Beach and Oyster Bay resort, plus we had parking here and it was a great location as a base to drive all over the island. Huge highlight was going out with Captain Alan for a day of snorkelling and to Pinel Island - his boats leave from just down the street. We loved everything about this place and would love to come back one day. Thank you for everything.

Beautiful, spacious and very comfortable studio with breathtaking views

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful villa for a month, working remotely. The internet worked well, we were able to both be on skype/ zoom meetings at the same time. The studio is very bright and airy, with absolutely everything that we needed. The terrace is large and comfortable with a table on which we enjoyed a lot of our meals, as well as a variety of lounge chairs and the breathtaking view. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed to frequently cook from home along with a bbq on the terrace. The bed was a very comfortable king size, and the constant breeze made the studio a very comfortable temperature, that we did not need the a/c on at night. The surrounding area is quiet, close by to a few great restaurants and about 15 min drive to a grocery store and a 5 minute walk to nearest beach. Lee and Patrick, were in the lower level apartment for a couple of weeks and were great hosts. They were very helpful and knowledgeable with recommendations about the island. Guy, a real estate agent who helped us make the booking met us at the airport, and helped find a rental car. Was also very helpful with the best things to do around the island. Overall an amazing stay, we would love to come back to this studio and would highly recommend it.

We are based in the US and still involved in our careers. We scuba dive and sail and use SXM as a central base in the Caribbean to explore further out. We chose Sint Maarten/St. Martin Island because of it's cultural diversity and acceptance and tolerance of all. It is, after all, The Friendly Island! We welcome all guests to our special place on Dutch Sint. Maarten, overlooking French St. Martin. The border to France is just 3 properties away.

We love a good view and this property offers the interesting changing landscape of the marina as well as distant ocean views. Yet we have tremendous storm protection. Just across the Pond (bay) is the French side so we have a mix of Dutch and French culture as well as all the Caribbean culture and goodness mixed in! The property faces east which means almost constant trade-winds and the terrace is completely shaded after 10:00 AM for sunny mornings and cooler afternoons. Also the Pool is shaded in the hottest afternoon hours making it ideal for lounging, reading and swimming without scorching heat before the sun sets behind the mountain.

Read what prior guests wrote in their reviews! Consider this the perfect place for Covid isolation with privacy, excellent views, Excellent fiber-optic WiFi and sea breezes. Take a look at the video tour! Staying at VVM gives you a secure gated villa experience with close proximity to many amenities that the island has to offer. The terrace faces East and enjoys an almost constant breeze from the dry tropical trade-winds that come across the Atlantic Ocean from the Sahara Desert. Oyster Pond is a yachting center and adds visual interest day and night if you like boats. The pool is very private and offers a great way to cool off at the end of the day or relax on a pool lounge and read! We provide folding beach chairs and a cooler so you can go out the gate and walk 3-5 minutes to Gorgeous Dawn Beach with wonderful ocean swimming and snorkeling. Big Fish restaurant is also there. There is also a wonderful ocean facing bar called Infinity and one called The Verandah at the Oyster Bay Beach Resort. The wifi is fiber optic and provides enough bandwidth and speed that guests can be streaming movies while another is on a video call.
