This was such a wonderful apartment!! Paul has thought of everything a person could want or need (i.e. free laundry with detergent, laptop computer, cell phone, NetFlix movies, shampoo/conditioner etc.). Paul and Debbie were very helpful with tips during our stay. We would highly recommend this property to anyone. You certainly can't get a better view than this! We miss it already.

I stayed for a conference in the city. I found this location very convenient to commute in and back everyday. The place is beautiful, comfortable and clean. The homeowner is very accessible for any questions. I would come back and stay here with my family for vacation! Thanks Paul!

Great stay in Twin Peaks

Had a fantastic stay at the apartment in Twin Peaks. The space was plenty big for two adults, the location is hard to beat, the view of downtown SF is incredible, and the owner was extremely helpful at all times. We enjoyed everything about the apartment and will miss living there. The property is safe and well maintained. The neighbors are friendly. Once concern I had moving to SF was having my car broken into, but the FREE parking across the street is safe and we did not have a single issue over the course of our stay.

Best EVERYTHING!

Where do I begin? Everything is absolutely fantastic about this listing--from the apt (and building) itself, to the best landlords I have ever had, to the location/views of the entire city and even the east bay too! For what was supposed to be only a few-months stay, I ended up living there my entire time I lived in San Francisco--2.5+ years! From the very beginning, I could tell that my landlords were going to be wonderful--so helpful with my move-in and we actually then became friends very quickly. The only reason I moved out was because I was leaving San Francisco--otherwise, I would have stayed even longer. Location: extremely safe and accessible to downtown and extremely easy to get to the South Bay, where I worked and drove to daily taking the 280. Location is perfect, as there was no rush-hour traffic getting to the 280. Very easy street parking. My guests never had issues with finding a parking spot at any given time of day/night. Apt: the apt itself and building is very well-maintained. Had everything I needed upon move-in/arrival. Landlord: when I say they're the BEST, I really mean it. I've lived everywhere and I couldn't have asked for a better landlord. They're lifelong friends and I can't wait to visit them in SF next time I'm in town and have them visit me in my new city!!

Five star apartment - five star view

We stayed at the Twin Peaks apartment for seven weeks while visiting family and were so happy we chose to rent this property. It was updated, modern and well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. Due to the length of our stay we brought a car and parking was always plentiful with no permit or restrictions - very unusual for SF - but essential for our needs. Paul was a great resource and goes out of his way to make sure you have the detailed information you need to enjoy the city. This apartment became our "home away from home" - a place we looked forward to coming back after long days away. And, of course, the views. Tourists come to Twin Peaks to take pictures of the skyline and we enjoyed it from our window every day!

Great San Francisco apartment

We stayed with our two young children in this place for 3 days over the summer. The apartment was very clean and well maintained in a great easy to get to part of the city. Paul, the owner was very courteous and informative. He had a folder ready to go with all the info you would need for visiting San Francisco. He even suggested some great things to do and see with our kids. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone, we definitely plan on staying here again.

Amazing view, wonderful host!

We just moved to San Francisco, and we stayed with Paul for about 6 weeks while we were looking for a permanent place to live. We feel that we got so lucky to find Paul and his apartment! He made it very easy for us to move in temporarily, and even let us store some boxes in his garage. He gave us good recommendations on local housing. And when we moved out earlier that we thought we would, he was able to rent the space out again and give us a refund! The place itself is recently renovated, with an amazing view and a short walk to great shops and restaurants (albeit down a steeeeep hill ... welcome to SF!). But overall we could not be happier with our stay there!

Great place to stay

I have never used VRBO so I was very nervous. Paul answered my many emails with speed and patience. It was clean and had pleanty of room for my family of 6 (3 adults 2 children under 5, and 1 infant). A big plus was the street parking at no additional cost. the apartment was not full of frills but had exactly what we needed.(TV for the kids, fridge for a cold beer, coffee pot, a little shared patio for a cigar and a BBQ grill-not sure about the grill, I never asked Paul but there was one out side). Very easy access to public transportation with the MUNI 1 day pass we purchased. All-in-all I would stay at Pauls apartment again. The view from the fire escape was PRICELESS!!

Perfect apartment for families!

This was our first time using homeaway.com and after searching all the apartments available in San Francisco, we decided to choose this one. And boy was it a great choice! Our traveling group was me, my wife and my 15 month daughter. Paul's apartment had everything we needed for our stay : elevator, appliances, very comfy bed, baby crib, high chair, fan, Wi-Fi, television, DVD/Blu-Ray, Netflix and a laptop. And the view of SF from the balcony is incredible! Buying a pass for transportation is perfect to get you to all of the important places to visit in SF. We visited the SF Zoo, Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz, The Exploratorium, Fisherman's Wharf and Market Street. Having Paul on site was very helpful. He is available for any requests you have. Also, since our plane was leaving late at night, Paul offered a free late checkout! That really helped us out because we would've had to get a motel for the last night to make it to the airport. Sincerely, you will not regret your stay! Recommended for: Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

Our family had a wonderful holiday in this apartment

Our family of four, 2 adults and two teenagers, had a wonderful holiday in this apartment. It had absolutely everything a family would need in a holiday home. The location is fantastic, we had a rental car and really only used it to go to the supermarket and to some local restaurants. We purchased bus passes at the airport when we arrived and traveled all over San Francisco by bus, a great way to see the city and feel like a local. Paul & Debbie met us when we arrived and gave us great tips on what to do and see etc, they also provided a great brochure guide on local restaurants, places to see and great money saving ideas on parking at Fisherman's wharf and renting bikes. The bike rental place they recommended was the best deal ever, bike rentals where only $30 and we where able to park the car free for the whole day. Actually the info brochure guide made our holiday the best ever, we would never have found the great places without Paul & Debbie's local expertise. We loved San Francisco and cant wait to visit this great city again.

Best of the best!

This apartment is a real gem. Not only is the view outstanding but the apartment has all the amenities of home! There is an elevator that opens right into the apartment, a full kitchen, laundry facilities, crib and highchair available, sleeps 5 comfortably, wifi, laptop, cable, free parking, close to grocery, cleaners, restaurants, bus line, etc. i stayed here for about a month a year ago February and we scheduled this trip around the availability of the apartment! Its also great that Paul and Debbie are on site in case you have questions or need suggestions. Found a great restaurant on this trip called Blue Stem Brasserie, a real treat!

Great location and views

We spent 4 nights at this apartment. It is at a fantastic location. We bought 3-day transit passports and had no problem getting around the city with 3 kids. The apartment is well maintained with everything we needed. Washer/dryer, laptop, Wi-Fi, and Netflix were bonus. Can't think of anything that was lacking. On the last night, we came home to fireworks across the bay which we watched from the balcony. Highly recommend this apartment especially for families.

Buen apartamento, buena vista

Apartamento comfortable, completo, bien preparado para recibir turistas y con una muy linda vista. Está un poco lejos de los lugares turísticos mas importantes de San Francisco (aprox. 20 min. en automóvil). A Great way to start our first visit to California!

This was my family's first visit to California. This was our first destination and we loved the apartment! Paul was a very gracious host, providing everything we needed to feel comfortable. Beautiful views from the balcony, very nice neighbors. The apartment is very close to Fisherman's Wharf, The Golden Gate Bridge, Pier 39, access to Alcatrez, and of course Twin Peaks overlook. We enjoyed eating both in and out. I absolutely love Paul's view on food. Oftentimes we have perfectly good food that we hate to throw away. He encourages leaving things for future guests. We were able to have eggs every morning for breakfast. Take some, leave some- a great philosophy. Everything was clean and fresh, with all the home away from home supplies a traveler needs. It was a pleasure meeting Paul and getting to chat a minute. We met one of the neighbors also and he was so helpful and very nice. Thanks again to Paul and Debbie for a good value for our money and helping us have a good start to our vacation!

Thanks for a great stay in San Francisco

We lived in San Francisco for 8 years and love coming back to visit friends and family. We were thrilled with the location, parking (what a luxury with two small children), furnishings and cleanliness of the apartment. The kitchen was stock with all appliances, pots, pans, dishes and utensils needed to cook. We were in close proximity to Safeway, Molly Stones, Starbucks, etc. Having stayed in several rentals in the Bay Area over the past four years, no VRBO owner has matched Paul in terms of provided detailed information to ensure we knew how to use the T.V., access the internet, find places of interest and nearby restaurants. We will absolutely return!!! Thank-you for such a wonderful stay.

Great Apartment with a fantastic View

This was our first trip to the USA, we stayed in Hotels in NYC, LA and Las Vegas, we booked this apartment for our last 5 days in San Francisco. This apartment was so nice, that we now wish we had booked apartments in the other cities instead of cold hotels. The apartment was a pleasure to come home to after a hard days sightseeing. The owner has a policy of leaving food from previous guests, there was ample amounts of Tea, Coffee, sugar, Olive oil, salt, pepper etc, there was even a big bag of pancake mix, we made pancakes every morning for breakfast. The view was to die for, you can see the whole city and Bay. There was a laptop computer that came in very handy for planning our sightseeing trips. Also a laundry room with detergent supplied. We parked our rental car in the garage and only really used it to go to the supermarket and to restaurants. Great Holiday, we would love to stay here again.

Serene apartment with a knock-out view of downtown and the bay.

I had the good fortune to rent this unit for two-and-a-half weeks in March. The place is clean, comfortable, very well equipped, has an excellent bed (double with memory foam mattress). The sheets are lovely, soft . There are lots of towels and a terrific shower. The floor-to-ceiling glass doors offer a wide-focus view of downtown San Francisco, the Bay Bridge, the Oakland hills. It is a dramatic and dynamic view -- one that I could -- and did -- spend hours admiring. A short 10-minute walk down (and back up) steep hills takes you to the shops and many restaurants of Noe Valley. There's a bus outside the door that connects to the excellent transportation system the city offers. Paul provides a very useful guide to the local area. And for extra points he had a space for my car in the garage. I would definitely stay here on a return visit. It's quite a nice find.

Live Like a Local

My wife and I have been to San Francisco several times and we have stayed in a number of hotels. However, we believe that renting this apartment gave us the most relaxing and inviting experience we have had yet in this great city. We were made to feel very welcome and having a garage to park in and our very own amazing view of the city (one I have yet to have from a hotel window) made us feel as though we were locals. The apartment is very comfortable and at the end of the stay I did not have to add up all of the extra expenses: tips, parking, wi-fi, you name it. One price, great experience, hospitable proprietor... and can't say enough, try it for yourselves.

Good time Great Location and all this with KIDS

We had a great time, the location was amazing, not far from anything. The view of the city was incredible. We would definitely stay here again. The apartment information booklet was a valuable tool for touristic activities as local amenities.

Great vacation spot

Paul's apartment was exactly what was described in the listing and in the reviews we read before our trip. The location was great - very easy access to lots of spots in the city and the garage parking was really nice to have after a day hauling 3 kids around. The apartment was clean, modern and well cared for. Internet access was a plus and Starbucks just down the road was a nice way to start the day. Our boys slept great on the futon and one of their favorite days of the whole trip was when we came back "home" after a day of sights and watched a movie and ordered pizza and chinese from two of places Paul had listed in his book of recommended restaurants. Great place for a wonderful family vacation - would definitely stay here again on a future trip.

Great Place with a View

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It has a great view (when there wasn't fog)and a parking spot which was important to us since we had a rental car. It's just minutes from the airport. The kitchen has the items needed for a stay away from home. The elevator made bringing bags up and down easier. Also, good for those who have trouble using stairs. The bedding was very, very comfortable. We always seemed to get up late and I think it was the bed. Paul was great to deal with. I would definitely stay here again.

I lived in San Francisco ...

I lived in San Francisco a long time ago, and every trip back is a chance to visit old neighborhoods and explore new ones. This time I decided to stay at Paul's place in Twin Peaks for a weekend, and was not disappointed. The apartment was quiet, very comfortable, and conveniently located. I loved the fact that there were no hassles with finding a parking space (always a challenge in San Francisco) for my rental car.The restaurants and shops along West Portal made for a vibrant neighborhood. And it's pretty easy to venture beyond the immediate area into The Castro, The Mission District, Cole Valley, and just about anywhere else in the city you care to see. I discovered Glen Canyon Park for the first time, and recommend it as an alternative to Golden Gate Park if you want a really challenging morning run.The apartment has all the amenities you could need, and is a much better bargain than any San Francisco hotels. I would stay there again on any return trip. Hope that's soon.
