Perfect relaxation spot

Property was very clean and well put together, garage was nice to park car in from heat. It was a little outta town but in a great spot. Gas station and a few little restaurants near. It was a great spot to come back to after floating the river and relax. Everything worked smoothly and communication was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Cute House for Weekend Getaway

My friend and I stayed here while in town for the weekend to attend a wedding. House is in a great location as it was halfway between the church and the reception hall. The house was very cute, very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again.

Lovely little two bedroom

We stayed here for an archery tournament. It was perfectly easy to get to, and the property owner left very clear instructions on how to get in. Perfect location that was easy to get to and from. Nice and quiet.

Perfect Vacation Home!

The home was so clean and comfortable. All of the furniture felt brand new and the beds/linens really made the place feel like a 5 star hotel. We would definitely stay again!

Great in more ways than one.

This was my first Vbro rental. The property was as beautiful and tranquil as the pictures. It is cozy and warm. The location was a perfect hideout. I do hope to return. The property owner was responsive.

Spring time visit

The home was incredibly clean! We were very comfortable living here for our visit. The drive out to the property is lovely - it's out from town. The beds and linens were super comfortable. We had all that we needed.

Need a do over!

My husband and I recently took a trip to Texas to escape the wrath of winter in the north, only to find ourselves caught up in the historic winter nightmare down in Texas in mid February. We made it down to New Braunfels, but we ended up being trapped in the VRBO for two days. The entire state was paralyzed and shutdown, so we checked out a day early to take advantage of a 12 hour window to escape in our rental car before the next ice and snow storm came through. Under the circumstances, I don't feel we can adequately or fairly give feedback about our stay in this home. What I can say is the home is very clean, and Melva is a thoughtful and attentive owner. I understand this type of winter weather event is rare in Texas, but I do feel the home should be equipped with items to deal with potential power outages, which could happen at any time. There were no flashlights or candles available for use. The home is situated in a rural area with no lights near by, so if we didn't have our phones (which we had to charge through the car when the power went out), we were sitting in ink black darkness. Although not a tool for power outages (or is it!?), the home doesn't have a cork screw, so we were unable to open the bottle of wine we had purchased. We feel this should be a staple utensil available for guests, so we were a bit frustrated by this oversight. If and when we return to the area, we will definitely consider staying here. Clean homes and kind owners are priorities to us, so this is a good option if and when we give it another try!

Location & Design

We really enjoyed our stay at Melva’s property. The home was clean, welcoming, and perfectly located for our getaway. We highly recommend staying here. Melva made sure we had everything we needed for a nice stay.

Perfect little getaway

Beautiful home, exactly as described. Great location to Guadeloupe River & Canyon Lake. We loved how secluded this home was. Melva was very responsive to all questions we had. Would highly recommend. Can't wait to come back!

Lake Canyon Trip

This place was clean and very organized. The location is perfect for the river and lake canyon. The property is gated which allows ambience of extra protection. The owner is easy to communicate with and very helpful. Overall a nice place to rent for your vacation if you are traveling to south texas.

Great place!

We all loved this cute home! It was easy to get to and really pretty. It’s within 15 minutes of Gruene, which is a cute town.
