This 3-bedroom, 1-bath home is just **two blocks from shops, restaurants, and nightlife**, and a short drive to Historic Gruene and Gruene Hall.

Whether you're here for a weekend getaway, a family vacation, or an extended work trip, this cozy and updated 1,100 sq ft home has everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay.

This was the BEST rental we have ever stayed at in New Braunfels. It was super clean. Walking distance to everything in downtown New Braunfels. My kids loved the gated backyard and all the fun yard amenities. The host of this property is simply amazing. She went above and beyond. She thought of every single detail from white noise machines to a useful binder for kitchen appliances. Every item in the house is well taken care of and I would give 10 stars if I could. Can't wait to come back!

We came for my mom’s 85th birthday. The location was perfect. Everything was in walking distance. Melissa was very helpful and the house was perfect. She has thought of everything!!! She has a first aid kit, outside games, ear plugs if you don’t want to hear the music (but we loved the outside live bands). The kitchen had everything needed!!! We will definitely be back and share with friends!

This house is a lovely place to stay which made for a very enjoyable girl’s trip. We all agreed it was the nicest and cleanest place we had stayed in all our trips together. The host has thought of everything to make you feel like you are home. The house is located close to downtown New Braunfels and several other small towns with great shopping . There is a wide variety of restaurants to eat or if you like to cook there is a beautiful kitchen with everything you need to cook. We would definitely stay here again.

Well done!

Very well done remodeled old home. Beds were comfortable, house was very clean, well stocked kitchen, and super cute decor. Location is great! It’s in the mix of everything yet it still felt private. It was a short walk or short drive to everything. We would definitely stay here again!

Great house, great host, great location

The house was fantastically updated and clean. The location was terrific; close to amazing restaurants, bars and freeways for easy commuting access. Melissa, the host, was easy to communicate with and made herself readily available to help. My family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Oh, and the backyard, such a cool spot to hang. Wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Very Charming Place

First, the property was as neat as a pin. It was VERY clean and well appointed. The house has been updated but all of the old doors, trim, and hardware has been left intact. The beds were very comfortable and the decor is very well done. I want to buy this house!! All the workmanship is top notch. The old floors barely make a squeak! I thought it was going to be a bit noisy with the train tracks so close and the restaurant behind the house hosts a live band but the music stopped at 10:00 on the dot and the train was all but unnoticeable. I really like the pull-through driveway (we attended a vendor market in Gruene and had our trailer with us). The gates for the driveway are a little wonky but I’m just being a bit picky. What a neat house and comfortable place to relax in where there are so many things to do within walking distance. I’m serious…I’d love to own this charming little house! Thank you for an awesome weekend.

A Real Gem

This is 5 stars by every metric. The house measures up to every pretty picture you see. One of our daughters lives in New Braunfels and she was able to show us great things within walking distance of the house. And so many other attractions are a very short drive. My wife and two other adult daughters who came with us from Katy were ooh, ahh, as soon as we walked in. Cozy and well stocked with all the amenities, while keeping a historical charm. Highly recommended.

Perfect Home!

My family of 5 stayed during the National Championship for Men’s College Basketball. Our host had a Gator flag hanging for us across the porch upon arrival! Such a sweet gesture. The house is impeccable…I wish their cleaning service could come to my house! No details are overlooked. Lovely furnishings and comfortable beds. We will most certainly stay again when we are back in the area. Thank you SO very much for your kindness, hospitality and sharing your home with our family!

Review

Beautiful, well cared for home. It lacks for nothing. Literally, everything is at your fingertips. The homeowner has great taste. You feel instantly welcomed the second you walk through the door. I don't remember if it was mentioned by other guests but there is a bar behind the home that plays loud music late into the evenings. If you can't beat them, maybe you can try joining 'em.

Great spring break stay

This home is exactly as advertised, although the pictures don’t do it justice. It is featured in a magazine for its historic uniqueness. We only had 2 adults and one kiddo, so probably more room than we needed but each bedroom was a good size and could easily sleep a larger family with 1 king bed, a queen and then a 3rd bedroom with a queen and a twin. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook any meal and the back yard is an incredible place to end the day. Super easy walk to the coffee shops two doors down and the main area for restaurants in NB. Tons of driveway space for parking and the gate can be closed for privacy. It was our daughter’s first time to NB and she doesn’t want to stay anywhere else. There is a restaurant/ bar right behind the house that has an incredible atmosphere and has a live band we were able to enjoy from the privacy of the back yard (or you can walk out the back gate and go directly in). It was also a lot of fun watching the hustle and bustle of all the people going to the farmers market Saturday morning from the comfort of our front porch. Made for great people watching. 10/10.

Perfect Downtown NB Cottage

The owner thought of everything in this adorable cottage! It's impeccably clean. Quality bedding. Fun backyard with yard games, seating & fence gate to access The Hideaway if interested. Walking distance to all the downtown areas.Earplugs & sound machines if needed. Simple rules. Never had an easier check out process. There were 5 of us ladies & we would all return again!

This home had undergone many "builder-grade" updates throughout the decades that had stripped the historic uniqueness and qualities from both the interior and exterior. My goal for all my homes is to make them function for today's way of life, while preserving the historic elements that set them apart from the current streamlined designs often found in communities today.

We are only the fifth owner of this adorable Craftsman and look forward to celebrating its 100 year anniversary in 2025.
