Just what we needed

The beds were comfortable, the house was clean and everything was easy to find. Tons of seating options and we spent almost the entire trip on the porch. Just minutes from the main street in town made it easy to get out and find things to do or eat!

Spacious Home in the Country

We had plenty of room in this well appointed and beautifully furnished home. The kitchen was well stocked. We loved the big porch and the comfy beds. Everything was perfect for our stay.

Felt like home

My husband, our younger son and I met our two older children and my husband's mother here to celebrate Thanksgiving. The place was very cozy and the setting is so relaxing. It felt like home, but better because it was a getaway!

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. One of our very first guests (several years ago!) was there for Thanksgiving.so we made sure they had plenty of serving bowls, platters etc to handle their holiday celebration. Always makes me happy when a family enjoy our house with celebrations!

Good spot in Honesdale

Stayed with family. House is nice and spacious, well appointed, with fans in all the rooms. Well located, and very quiet. Plenty of room for a family to spread out. Will book again as we come to Honesdale annually. Great communication with the host.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was charming and full of character, with a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern amenities. Lovely house with deer visiting the garden every night!

We’re from the Netherlands and for a small holiday we stayed here. We really loved the house, it’s beautiful in it’s old orriginal state and the garden with the surrounding porch was amazing. Also the location was perfect, just a 15 minute walk or a 5 min drive to the center of honesdale.

Daughter’s wedding

Beautiful old country home with plenty of room for everyone. We were in town for the weekend for my daughter’s wedding. Plenty of room for everyone. Beds were very comfortable and we had a great stay.

Spacious and comfortable

We enjoyed our stay at this old, Sturdy house with plenty of porches- big open rooms and comfortable beds. We would have liked a better coffee pot, but everything else was satisfactory. Tamra was responsI’ve and helpful.

The farm house was the perfect location for our family vacation. The house provided all the space that we needed for 8 people and 3 dogs. We spent most of our time on the huge wrap around porch. We ate outside but the dining room table was also large enough for dinner and family games. The rooms were comfortable to sleep with the fans running and windows open and the beds were comfortable. The town near by was fun to walk around. We had ice cream multiple times from Gravity ice cream.

This is a 100+ year house. We are constantly doing maintenance and repairs. The charm and what this house offers for guests has earned us 4.9+ stars in other booking sites. It’s a country house as advertised.

Family celebration

We had 4 different groups from the same family. We were so happy with the wonderful porch and inside areas. We were able to be together or spread out for a moment of peace.We cleaned out the firepit next to the house which was a hit also.The only downside was the sheets are too small for the mattresses. We ended up the the fitted sheet off the mattress in several of the bedrooms.

Hello- happy you enjoyed your visit. our apologies about the sheet experience. the sheets all fit queens except one room has a double bed. We have several extras as well. And have never had an issue before. I will speak to cleaning ladies and make sure they use only the queen sheets for the 3 bedrooms. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I wish you would have reached out during your stay we would have taken care of this situation for you.

Charming

A planned visit with grandparents for a band concert. The host is excellent with communication in advance and during the visit. The house is charming with living room, kitchen, patio, and dining room. Four nice bedrooms to fit the group. Only challenge was the water pressure and bathrooms. Host was immediately responsive to help remedy the best possible. Overall suitable for the visit and weekend.

Family trip

The home is located in a beautiful neighborhood on a big piece of property that is quiet and peaceful. It is an older house with charm and character. It is fully equipped and we truly enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint was there were ladybugs throughout the house. It was sort of an odd issue but was a bit concerning. Other than that we truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house if the ladybug issue were resolved. The property manager was very responsive and easy to work with.

Hi Lisa- so glad you abs your family enjoyed your stay. We came by the house to see about the ladybugs. I didn’t see the issue as I only saw 3. I’m sorry that they disturbed you. It is a country house so there are bound to be some bug’s about. I’d prefer ladybugs to bees or spiders lol!

Perfect Wedding Day

My husband, our pup and I spent our wedding weekend here and it was perfect! It was a great, safe feeling space for a breakfast outside for some wedding guests and we got to enjoy an absolutely beautiful home for a while. Tamra was especially helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful and serene environment with plenty of space that maintains a profound sense of warmth and intimacy. 10/10

Cozy and nice stay!

The cabin was beautiful and cozy! Looks exactly like the pictures online. The modern kitchen made it easy to cook for our bigger group and the fireplace made the evenings extra cozy! Contact with the owner was fast and easy through text messages. The cabin is located in close proximity to the Promton lake with many execelent hiking paths as well as places allowing horseback riding.
