Magnífica casa de playa privada de 7 pisos, 5500 pies cuadrados, 2 pisos frente a la playa. 5 Bedrms Main House (baños en suite) más 2 Bedrms en Guest Cottage. Directamente en el océano, piscina climatizada, Sala multimedia con HDTV, (Internet WIFI / Impresora / Copiadora / Teléfono local y de EE. UU.). Amplia área al aire libre - kayak y tabla de paddle. Barbacoa en patio al aire libre. Impresionante entorno para grupos de amigos o familias.

Ubicado a 15 minutos del aeropuerto. A pie de Baha Mar Resort & Casino, buenos restaurantes. Corto viaje en taxi a Atlantis, atracciones, tiendas libres de impuestos y el mercado de paja del centro. Tienda de comestibles a 10 minutos de la casa. Clima ideal para la recreación, el ocio o un retiro corporativo. Características de Shangri La (que significa cielo en la tierra): sol todo el año, playas de arena blanca y aguas tranquilas y cristalinas.

Tall building took away the sunshine for an hour or two and pool was not so warm because of it. Dishwasher didn’t dry properly and cutlery not so clean. The house was beautiful, old style, well equipped,lovely location, spacious, a delight.

Beautiful property at an excellent location. Property was clean (which goes a long way with me!) and communication with host and property manager was excellent. The kitchen was well-equipped and the outside spaces were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the amazing ocean views. Just a couple notesthe walk to Baha Mar is a bit more than 5 minutes on the beach; more like 10-15 depending on how fast you walk and if it is hot out you will be sweaty by the time you get there. We did not rent a car but used a driver service the whole time we were there. It provided great flexibility for our group of 8. Also, house numbers and driving directions mean nothing to most Bahamans as street addresses were only just recently implemented. The Host, Sally, explained this with our list of check-in instructions and provided excellent directions to give the driver and our arrival from the airport. Unfortunately, I did not pay attention to this important detail (not realizing it really was a "thing"), and the trip from airport to the property was a but cumbersome. Bahamians typically still refer to descriptions of locations or general areas (like, It's the yellow house near Goodman's Bay" or something like that. It was just a learning curve for us being in a new country and we will do better next time:-)Nearly everyone we encountered on the island was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, would recommend this lovely property and would definitely stay again!

Great house and location

Loved our stay at this incredibly located house! Spent lots of time on the deck looking at the ocean, testing all the restaurants and casino at Baha Mar, and driving around the island! Wonderful trip!

Great Location

All you need in one location for a relaxing vacation! Great pool plus kayaking, paddleboards and snorkeling gear. I recommend not to plan too many excursions or you'll miss out on all the house has to offer. I also highly recommend hiring the personal chef!

Amazing place on the beach, close (but not too close) to downtown Nassau.

Sally's place was just fantastic - a beautiful house on a beautiful beach, close (but not too close) to downtown Nassau. We spent our family Christmas there and everyone loved it. The kitchen was remarkably well provisioned, which was essential for preparing the Christmas meals and baked goods. Sally was extremely helpful as well, getting us tickets to Junkanoo and so forth.

Great Family Trip

This was a perfect beach vacation for our family with young kids. We did a few excursions but mostly enjoyed the property. Kids played at the beach & pool. Adults used the kayaks & paddle boards, corn hole, ping pong table and had plenty of time to relax. The house was equipped with everything you’d need for the week. Very comfortable & accommodating place to stay at! Loved the big kitchen for cooking. It was set up nicely with plenty of fridge space, dishes, pans, spices, etc. The view was incredible and had the most amazing sunsets.

Unbelievable location

This was right in the heart of everything. The property manager was extremely accessible. You basically have your own private beach. We had a blast and would definitely stay here again.

Nice House in a great location

We loved staying at Shangri la! There were several nice restaurants within walking distance, the kids were able to rent wave runners right from the house, and our boat charter picked us up from our beach. SUPER convenient! The house was lovely, beds were comfy, and the kitchen was well-stocked! The only minor inconvenience was the wave runner dudes flying by, pretty close to the shore. That was pretty annoying as we were a little nervous being out very far off the beach. (Not the fault of the owners, so what do ya do?!?!) If we come back to Nassau, we'd definitely stay here again.

Worked well for our family. A little further walk than 5 minutes to resort. More like 20 minutes in the sand. Loved the view. Chef was ok. Not on time much. Masseuse was really good. Nail tech was not good. The house was good overall.

Perfect Place for our group

We absolutely loved our time at this home. Before the trip the host provided us with lots of information from excursion ideas and recommendations to the current Covid travel requirements. The location is ideal and how can you beat the gorgeous view of the ocean right off the back patio? It felt like we had the beach pretty much to ourselves. We loved paddle boarding, snorkeling, and playing in the sand right out the back gate. We cooked most of our meals at the house and appreciated the well stocked kitchen. With all the little details and thought that has gone into the home it felt like a home away from home. We loved our time here!

Beautiful setting in a tropical paradise

Communication and follow up with property manager was excellent. House is well stocked with everything needed for a large group. Rooms are large with private bathrooms. Only problem is location. If you rent a car you will be okay but otherwise taxis are very expensive and there are no stores or restaurants nearby. Baha Mar is only a mile up the road so during the day that is an option for food but very expensive. Pool on the property is a big plus. It is warm and overlooks the ocean so much time was spent there

Great time

We traveled with 14 - 8 adults and 6 children. The manager and property manager where very communicative - from recommendations for transport to excursions to shopping and a chef. We took all of the recommendations and have no complaints. The property manager was prompt in responding to questions during the week - unfortunately we needed urgent care and she was quick to make a number of recommendations (don't start with the ER). Easy access to grocery stores and liquor stores (I suggest a rental car). Would definitely recommend the house for other large families - many generations. We'll definitely consider returning when the next family trip comes up.

Fabulous home for family and teenagers!

Shangri-la is in an excellent location with its proximity to BahaMar, downtown, and restaurants on both sides of the island. The outdoor space with the pool and beach are perfect for families of all sizes (we had 14 in our group ranging from ages 3yo up to 47yo). You can sit at the pool while kids play at the beach (or vice versa) and you are just 5 steps away from each other. The house has a great set-up, and the movie room was a perfect escape when the kids needed a break from the sun! Our older teenage boys loved having their own space in the guest house! The sunset was beautiful and the back patio area was our favorite gathering space each evening. Ms. Sally was awesome in providing references for drivers, chef, rentals, and more. Rhonda was great too, checking on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Appreciated the added security guard each night. He was friendly and professional. Had zero problems with the house...it was comfortable and perfectly accommodated our large group! Would definitely recommend to large families, especially those with kids of varying ages.

2nd Time in

This is the time we've vacationed here and it gets better every time. The house is amazing and always clean. The bedrooms are comfortable (wish there was a TV in every room, including the guest house). Grocery and liquor store and Casino are within walking distance or a short taxi ride to Paradise Island and downtown. We laid around and did nothing, we had a barbeque another night, walked to dinner and even rode some jet skis. We brought movies and had movie night, played cards till dusk by the pool. There is so much to do if you really want to, or do nothing and just enjoy the view and all the luxuries this house has to offer. We plan on returning next year and to make this a yearly family trip.

Loved the house. Very comfortable for my group of 9. It's also about a ten minute walk from Baha Mar, which is a beautiful new casino/hotel right up the beach. We did some snorkeling on the reef about a quarter mile out and that was also beautiful. Finally, I highly recommend using Chef Perry Sweeting, who we hired to cook a couple of meals for us. He does a great job and makes things very convenient. Overall, my whole group loved it. (*only negative: I would not use the car service recommended by the local property manager. The prices they charged were exorbitant.)

Thank you for taking the time to write your thoughts on your stay. Glad you enjoyed Nassau and Shangri La home! I am sorry to hear about the car service you hired as I am not familiar with them. I have an approved list of taxi companies and drivers which are reliable and reasonable. Altho Chef Perry has come to cook at the house for our guests and is skilled in his profession, I do not wish to continue recommending his services for our guests. There are plenty of other options available.

A wonderful week at Shangrila

Our family of 15 (ages 4 months - 69) had a wonderful week at this property. We communicated with Sally several times pre trip and she was very helpful explaining things and giving recommendations. Rhonda our on site contact was friendly and very prompt answering any questions we had. Sally’s recommendation of using Cheryl’s Transportation was perfect for our group. We also had a fantastic day with Live 2 Fish another recommendation. The house is very well equipped with kitchen items - including spices and other staples so we didn’t have to buy them. The kids loved the pool, sand toys for the beach, and floaties. The large Connect 4 game, ping pong table and bags game also saw lots of use by kids and adults. Thanks again Sally and Rhonda for helping us make memories with our family.

Special trip with family.

Seven days in paradise! This property was perfect for our needs. Walking out of the house to a covered seating area, pool and patio overlooking the beautiful blue waters made each day perfect. The children, ranging in are from 2 to 13 were able to play on the beach and in the water under our constant supervision. The location on a cove protected us from wind and rough water creating the perfect place for relaxation. The home included kayaks and pedalboards enjoyed by kids and adults. Anyone considering this house should be aware that persons with mobility issues may face difficulties. They main floor is accessed by steps and bathrooms and bedrooms require navigating steps. There are steps down to the beach as well. We had a rental car during our stay and that really is necessary for trips to the store or restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked. During our stay we hired a chef to prepare some of our meals allowing us to concentrate on relaxation. Overall a wonderful experience and we would definitely return to the same house.

Truly.....The Real Shangri-La

The listing was very accurate to the property description and its many amenities. The photos of the property, provided only a snapshot view of the spaciousness and décor of this fantastic listing and the property was well maintained. All things were in good working order, clean and ready for a large group use. The owners, agents, et. al. were prompt, helpful and descriptive to any prior questions our group asked. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this spectacular property to anyone who is planning a trip to Nassau. Words can't describe the morning/evening views while sitting on the veranda just relaxing with family and friends and enjoying an adult beverage. We do recommend para-sailing, snorkeling and Power Boat Adventures----all well done and fun for all ages. Last, we catered our meals with a fantastic lady who provided a true flavor of the local Bahamian dishes along with her impeccable services and delicious foods/desserts. This was truly a wonderful experience for our entire family ranging in ages from 8 years old to 73 years old and the only downside is, we wished we could have stayed for a month.
