Good Condo w/beautiful views!

Overall the property is nice. I really liked the location and the pool areas with the sky walk over to the beach side. The beaches were clean and I really like the balcony at the property to sit out at night.

Great Location!

Loved the condo’s pools and beach access. It was a great location to everything we wanted to do. Nice clean beach and pool area. The condo was really good. Loved the balcony and corner spot. The condo had everything we needed.

Beautiful views of lagoon and ocean!

The bed is sooo comfortable and I love that on one valcony you are able to see the lagoon while on the other you are able to see the ocean! I loved the double sinks in the master bath as well! Pool was great staff was great. There was an incident in the pool and it was quickly cleaned and taken care of! Nicely handled! Overall I would rent again if I ever went to the same place twice!

Family Beach Vacation

We love staying at Crystal Towers for our annual family beach vacation. Our room was good and spacious. We enjoyed the corner room for the views and the amount of space.

We were here for my moms 70th birthday surprise. Beautiful views, wonderful amenities, quick access to the beach. The sofa was torn from what the pictures showed and the fridge was leaking but overall enjoyed our stay.

Great Condo

We normally only rent on the beach, but this place was great. It still has a great view. The only tweak I would do differently is bring plastic plates, but we also cook a lot to avoid eating out. That's a really easy fix though. The pools were great. Know that one staff member that we dubbed 'SGT Susan' will absolutely check your bands (no biggie). We would stay here again.

The beds are uncomfortable and the springs are coming out of one of them and very badly stained, the curtains have mold at the bottom, we saw a few bugs in the panty and bathroom. One outlet had no cover on it right next to the bed, mold on the ceiling in bathroom. No way to get on the top bunk, there was popcorn under TV stand, under beds have dirt and trash and behind dressers. The door lock kept getting stuck. And the toilet seat is old! The bathroom floor trim is broke. We’ve stayed in other units and this was the worst and I’m very disappointed that we spent that much money and it was gross after seeing the beds when we stripped them. This place needs a good deep cleaning and new furniture badly. The couches have stains/marks on them too. The patio table is so old. If we could have stayed somewhere else we would have but spent too much on this and being very disappointed. Other than 1401 being nasty everything else on the property was great as always.

Slight musty smell

Large corner condo. Wrap around porch was very nice. Our complaint was a slight musty smell when we entered. We ran the ac and it seemed to get better with air moving around.

Outdated Listing

Condo needs painting and new bedding. Bedding is old, thin and dirty. Living room furniture is two odd leather couches—one is uncomfortable. Main pool and lazy river of property is closed and listing didn’t provide this information.

not what was advertised

We stay in crystal towers annually and love it. NOT THIS UNIT!! It was dirty, with crumbs on the carpet and end tables, a puddle of water in the kitchen. No furniture for sitting on either balcony (except the broken down dangerous recliner on back balcony) Managment said they would get back to us and never did!!!!

Nice, BUT......

Don't rent 1401 till something is done about the mildew/mold smell inside the unit, and the fridge water line filter has been changed! Musty tasting water. Trust me on this. Other things need attn: too. Paint, couch replaced. Also, the cleaning crew is not doing their job, hence the 2 stars!

Needs upgrading

So there was no furniture on patio area but a couple crappy chairs. The washer had a rusted lid so had to do laundry elsewhere. Ice maker didn't work and last the sleeper couch was falling apart. After seeing other condos in building that our friends where staying in for same price. Would not recommend this one.

Great location. Overall property is great. Unit needs TLC in the living area and second bedroom.

Such a beautiful view of the ocean and the Sound. Two great balconies. The pictures online are obviously old. The furniture in the living room needs replacing, torn sofa, the throw pillows are old and musty. Should be thrown out. The kitchen is nice but cookware and accessories are minimal. Main bedroom is nice the secondary bedroom needs updating. The mattress on the queen bed needs to be replaced very uncomfortable for adults. The trip was about the beach and it is a great beach property. I would go back to the property but probably not this unit. Also, There was Construction being done and it was a little inconvenient but not a huge issue.

Beautiful Views but Dirty Floor and Short on Bedding

The views were beautiful from the 14th floor. Everything except the floor was clean. After the first night we had enough bedding. Having extra bedding somewhere in the rental home could have saved a lot of grief. There are no hot pads to get things in and out of the oven. The only knives there are butter knives. Everything else we needed was there. We enjoyed the pools and the beach. The beach is a tiny strip and very crowded. I would not rent this condo again. The floors were not just sandy. They were dirty. We also had a leak from the ceiling in the kitchen…not major but also not okay. I feel like we paid enough to not have to deal with all of this.

For the price - should've been better

The toilet paper holder came completely out of the wall on the first use. So did the towel holder the next day, both in the master bedroom. Pull out sofa is crazy uncomfortable, lumpy, and practically broken. There wasn't actual bedding for it either, only sheets. Only 3 forks in the whole flatware drawer. The garbage disposal was broken and wouldn't drain out of the sink... old wet food was just sitting in the sink upon arrival. I messaged about these issues on the app. It said someone would contact me and nobody ever did. The list goes on and on

Gulf Shores stay

When we arrived to the Condo, the AC was not working. It took almost 24 hours for someone to get it taken care of. Once it was fixed, the space was better. The condo had candy in the bunkbeds where the kids slept. Candy was in the sheets and on the bed. A used milk bottle with old milk was left under the coach in the living room and had old milk spilling out from under the coach in the living room. Gatorade bottles were left under the bed in the master bedroom. When we arrived, I had to vacuum and re-clean the space in order for us to feel comfortable. The AC not working properly really made the beginning of the stay very uncomfortable. The last day of our stay, we waited 40 minutes for an elevator to take us from the 14 floor to the parking lot. It was absolutely frustrating. The condo needs a complete over haul and new linens. It would make the space a lot more appealing.

The view was awesome but…

It’s our third gulf shores trip and second time at Crystal tower. I loved the view from our unit. But… cleaning was ok, furnitures were old, dingy, scratched up, and shaky, bed was squeaky, maintenance is much much needed, and kitchen was NOT well stocked AT ALL. No knives except some steak knives, no cutting board, only two bowls, and four mugs. Many of the plates and mugs I did see had chipped edges. Bunk bed didn’t have a step ladder for the top bunk. I called maintenance and, after waiting like 10 minutes on the phone, they said there’s no ladder so just step on the bottom bed to climb up. My daughter had to use a chair and a dresser to get on top. TV’s were old and screen quality was bad. Inside of the dryer was rusted and scratched up. Door lock was maybe low on battery- it kept powering off while putting in the code. Three of the five light bulbs were out in the dining. With all that said, yes I would probably book again if it’s priced cheaper in comparison, but I would have to bring my own pillows, knives, and other kitchen items.

Mini Vacation

We are no stranger to Chrystal Towers. This is our 3rd trip to the condo and love the pool and access to the beach. Elevator wait times and speed were amazing. Not too crowded this weekend so that was great. The condo was a little disheartening on arrival. We arrived around 9pm and my kids were running around while we got unpacked and their feet were literally black from walking barefoot in the condo. There was dust on glass table tops that you could see. I messaged the owner about the dirty floors and requested someone to come mop since a mop was not available in the condo but with it being late I knew it wouldn’t be handled then. I ended up mopping floors with towels and did the best I could. No one ever came to mop the floors. The condo was decent, had enough to get us through our short weekend but the overall of it was gross to say the least. This condo definitely needs TLC. No microwave rotating plate, Toaster oven doesn’t work, there isn’t a wall that’s not covered in a scratch or mark (even looked like blood on guest bathroom wall?!?), the floor between kitchen and dining room appears unfinished. Balcony needs pressure washing as it is black to walk on, and it needs a deep cleaning. Will definitely return to the building for another stay but not this unit unfortunately.

Very disappointing

For being a premium unit in this complex it was very disheartening to see the lack of supplies and maintenance for this unit. As soon as we walked in, there was a hole over the eating area in the kitchen. Plaster was failing on to the counter making it a safety hazard to eat there. There are two couches and both are broken and ripped. The supplies in the kitchen were a joke. This unit provided 2 forks and 3 butter knives. There was no knife block or a knife that we could use to cut food. Underneath the sink, it was leaking which did not help with the constant mold smell. The sink in the master bathroom was cracked. Majority of the lights were either burned out or didn’t work. The owner has so much random stuff in the bedroom closets we couldn’t even use it, although no hangers were provided anyways. We reached out to Vacasa 10 minutes after we checked in. Vacasa sent some out the next day to assess our concerns. He did come back with 6 more forks, 6 more butter knives, and a new frying pan. They said they would reach out to the owner and follow up with me. I’m still waiting a response!
