En lo alto de colinas en un hermoso jardín de flores, la cabaña recientemente renovado es formas parte de una antigua granja reformada y situada en una gran (2800m2) y el jardín seguro. Decoración francés exquisito, el precio incluye todos los cargos. Un dormitorio con cama de matrimonio y otra con 2 camas individuales (además de una cuna). En la planta baja de un sofá cama muy cómodo será perfecto para 2 personas más. La cabaña es sólo para usted: sólo tú compartir, (con los niños s propietarios) y tener acceso a la piscina climatizada, un delicioso 'cocina de verano' con barbacoa / lavabo / tablas (dardos y futbolín, así) en el jardín. hay un tobogán, un columpio, un trampolín y un foso de arena. Terraza privada a la sombra con sillas largas, Wifi, cocina moderna totalmente equipada. Los huéspedes encontrarán muchas actividades a nivel local y regional, sin dejar de ser capaz de relajarse en nuestra hermosa Charente !!
La propiedad es muy segura, vallada, se puede aparcar el derecho coche, sa paraíso para los niños y crecido!

We had a wonderful time here with our 2 girls, loads for them to do and play with in the garden and the pool was perfect and very well looked after. Nathalie is an excellent host, the best we have had before. The gite had everything we could have needed, perfectly clean and it stayed wonderfully cool in the hot sun. We definitely hope to be back.

Erholsamer Urlaub und viel Spaß für dir Kinder

Unser Aufenthalt im Ferienhaus von Nathalie und ihrer Familie war für uns sehr erholsam. Die Kinder konnten den Pool aber auch das Trampolin und die anderen Spiele in vollen Zügen genießen. Auch Scralett und Romeo haben einen Großteil dazu beigetragen das beide nur wehmütig wieder abreisen wollten.In der Ferienwohnung ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Bei unserer Anreise war alles sauber und wir wurden sehr freundlich von Nathalie empfangen.Insgesamt können wir Nathalie und ihre Ferienwohnung empfehlen wenn sie einen ruhigen Urlaub mit ihren Kindern verbringen wollen.Liebe Grüße an Nathalie, Scarlett und Romeo, insbesondere von unseren Kindern

Wonderful holiday

We have just returned from the beautiful 'Le Cottage Ensoleille' / The Sunny Cottage and we all had a wonderful time. The gite is immaculately presented in terms of cleaniness and decor and is fully equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The gite is spacious and comfortable and has all the modern facilities you need. We went for a chill out week by the pool but there is lots to see and do in the area and the immediate countryside is full of stunning sunflower fields and vines. The owner Natalie was very friendly and helpful (without being intrusive), nothing was too much trouble and on the 1 rainy day we had, she was prompt to offer some suggestions for days out if needed. The pool and gardens were great, the gite also come with it's own private terrace which was surrounded by beautiful flowers, everything was extremely well kept. The highlight for us was that our children got along well with Clovis and Scarlett (Nathalie's children) which meant they all had great fun playing and swimming together. We come to France every year and this is one of the nicest gites we have stayed in and shall definitely return. Thank you Nathalie & Family for a wonderful holiday!

wir hatten einen super Urlaub bei Nathalie. Im Haus war alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Es war Erholung pur, der Pool, die Spielsachen und Scarlett haben besonders unserer Tochter gefallen. Supermarkt in 10 Minuten Entfernung, Cognac, Bordeaux für Ausflüge geeignet. Wir haben für nächstes Jahr wieder gebucht (machen wir sonst nie). 5 Sterne für Haus, Garten und Besitzer

Very clean and well equipped gite with an excellent host

We enjoyed a week here in August 2022 and had a great time. The kids absolutely loved playing in the pool, playing table football and other games in the games shed and playing on the trampoline (often with Nathalie's daughter). The pool is great and very private other than a short walk past the front of the main house to get to it. There are numerous toys and inflatables to play with, and the water was an ideal temperature (we were in the midst of a heat wave!) and it was very clean - Nathalie cleaned it daily. The gite itself is clean, spacious, modern and very well furnished/equipped. The wifi is very fast and there is plenty to entertain the children if you spend any time indoors (although we were hardly inside at all). There is no air conditioning so it was very warm at night, but we had unusually high temperatures between 35C and 40C every day. We made a point of keeping windows and shutters closed all day to keep the house cooler and a fan is provided. The location of the property is very rural - surrounded by farms and fields - mainly beautiful vineyards and sunflowers, some visible from the swimming pool area. There are plenty of very quiet roads to run/cycle, which makes it very peaceful, but does mean that you must have a car to get anywhere. The large town of Angouleme is a very easy 25 min drive away, and there are some other small towns/villages within 10-15 mins (e.g. Montmoreau) where you can find a large shop or supermarket. Nathalie was on hand whenever we needed anything, including tips and advice on places to visit etc. She is an excellent host. All in all we had a very relaxing week at Nathalie's gite, and would certainly return if we have a holiday in this part of France again.

Fantastic

Natalie was an amazing host, nothing was a problem for her. The gite had everything you could think of for a family. It was super clean and very peaceful. Her children were a delight so well mannered and the dogs were super friendly our children loved them, when they popped to say hello. Will definitely visit again if we stop in the area. Worth a visit

Calme, soleil, piscine, trampoline, hamac et très très bon accueil

Nous avons eu la chance d’être accueillis par Nathalie et sa famille qui sont chacun aux petits soins. Nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison, même mieux. Le calme de ce gîte est merveilleux, les tournesols sont magnifiques. Nous avions tout à disposition pour passer un très agréable séjour. Je recommande Le Cottage Ensoleillé et nous souhaitons tous y retourner. Un grand merci à Nathalie, Clovis, Scarlett, Roméo et Nini.

Agréable maison au calme avec jeux et activités pour enfants

Agréable séjour au calme. La maison est bien agencée et très bien équipée. Le premier étage est bas de plafond. Beaucoup d'épicerie et matériel de cuisine. Idem pour les jeux. En une semaine, les enfants n'ont pas eu le temps de tout voir. Nathalie et ses enfants sont accueillants et de très bons guides pour la région.

Very comfortable. Quiet with Angoulême close by for great food and sightseeing. Checkout the paddleboarding and kayaking nearby also. Gite had everything you need and more. Recommend.

Wonderful escape to the French countryside

We've just returned home after the most wonderful family holiday - staying in the gite for 9 nights. iPads/screens were left in the UK and our 5 & 9 year old daughters rediscovered their love of playing outdoors together in the beautiful garden - with loads of activities for kids to enjoy (swings, sand pit, trampoline, slide, badminton etc) - and all enclosed so they could run around safely. We also went on some great local trips (most of which were recommended in the information pack in the gite or by the hosts) including to a vineyard (we were spoilt for choice - the gite is in Cognac region); to Cognac & Angouléme towns (the girls loved the land train, we loved the market, we all loved exploring the cobbled streets); we visited local chocolate shops and lots of beautiful rural villages for lunch (inc Châteauneuf) and the most amazing restaurant with seating in an old market place in the centre of a truly picturesque village (ville Bois-Lavalette - I think!). We took a longer trip to see a famous Chateau & village (around 40mins), Rochefoucauld, which was well worth the journey. We found the driving stress-free as the roads are so quiet. On the way to and from the port (St Malo) we stopped in La Rochelle, which I'd also recommend. It was much closer to the gite than the port but it's such a beautiful place to visit that we made this our stop off for both directions! One tip I'd share, as we were caught out in the first few days of our hol, is that most of the shops etc close for lunch (midday - 2pm) and completely on Sunday. We were completely out of sync with opening hours to begin with but we soon found our routine of going out in the morning (when everything's open), eating lunch out, then spending the afternoon/evenings at the gite - enjoying BBQs in the kitchen garden or cooking produce from the Angouléme market in the gite's kitchen, which also looks out over the garden and was really well stocked with handy oils, seasoning, spices and a great range of cutlery, crockery, glassware etc to prepare lovely family meals. The pool was a bit too cold to use during our stay (in April) but we got the impression it would soon warm up with a nice spell of weather. We've had the most amazing holiday and were made to feel so welcome by the hosts. I would definitely recommend this property for a rural family holiday.

Cottage très agréable

Tout est fait pour se sentir bien, comme si on était à la maison, c est très cosy. Rien ne manque. La propriétaire est totalement à l'écoute et disponible. Séjour très agréable. Je recommande vivement cet endroit au grand calme.

as many have rated this gite as excellent so will this review! location is quiet but the gite and garden is fully equipped. child-friendly for our 15-month-old child who learned to walk here! children can play in the sandbox, play area, swimming pool (fenced with fencing) or with the dogs and/or children of Nathalie and Richard. Nathalie and Richard are on hand when needed for your every need. if you want to do villages or activities you will have to drive a bit through this beautiful area with wine/cognac, corn and sunflower fields. villages are accessible between 20-45 min drive .. Fun things to do Cognac, L'avalette (dining in the old market hall) Angouleme fresh market and many restaurants, Aubeterre-sur-dronne (cozy little village at the foot of the mountain a campsite where you can make a small stop with children (playground, lake/river for swimming, and a simple lunch/dinner, possibly canoeing), in Rouillac you will like the goat farm “earl des fillaos” to visit, there are besides goats also pigs, cows, ducks / geese, bunnies, birds, and a sheep dog.tour by a sympathetic and friendly owner you get the feeling that you are always welcome.don't forget to visit Cognac Moreau at the beginning of the street where the gite is located, you will definitely go home with cognac 😉.we stayed in the gite for 2 weeks and we were never bored! Nathalie, Richard, Clovis, Scarlett ( Curly and Romeo 🐶) thanks for the nice time we had!

Lovely and peaceful hideaway

What a lovely peaceful place to stay. The pictures on here really don't do it justice. Nathalie met us when we arrived amd couldn't be more helpful. She gave us the tour of the property along with locations of the bakery, supermarkets and resraurants. Always available for anything. She also helped arrange our Covid tests for coming back. The house has everything you could want and more. Just watch your head if your tall! To top it all you always get a waggy tail welcome from Roco and Curly. Wonderful vacation spot in South of France!

We absolutely loved staying in Nathalie’s gite. The property is gorgeous and very quiet. Our kids loved exploring the property and playing in the pool. We used the summer kitchen to enjoy meals as a family. The location is a bit austere but an easy drive to St Emilion, Cognac, and Bordeaux.

Excellent malgré la pluie et la fermeture des sites touristiques

La météo et le contexte sanitaire ne nous ont pas aidés mais grâce à cette location de qualité nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Nathalie a vraiment veillé à notre confort et le pot de confiture maison était vraiment une très gentille attention. Malgré la pluie, nous avons pu faire un BBQ dans la cuisine d’été et le baby-foot et le jeu de fléchettes ont bien motivé nos ados... Merci encore pour cette bouffée d’oxygène!

Se ressourcer à la campagne

Nous avons passé 9 jours au gite de Nathalie. Je lui donne 5 étoiles! La propriété est charmante. Le gîte est rénové avec beaucoup de goût, un beau mélange mariant l'ancien et le moderne. Il est très bien équipé au niveau de l'électroménager mais aussi des draps ( les lits sont fait à l'arrivée), des torchons et des serviettes en nombre, tout y est! La propriétaire y met également les produits de base comme l'huile, le sel, le poivre ou épices ainsi que les produits tels que liquide vaisselle, produits de lave-vaisselle, lessives et nettoyant tout usage. Petites attentions, Nathalie a mis quelques boissons dans le frigo du gîte et après 10 heures de route, c'était un beau cadeau :-). Et aussi du thé, des tisanes et du café étaient déjà sur place en arrivant, j'ai trouvé cela très attentionné. Nathalie, très discrète, est présente sur le site en cas de besoin, toujours de bons conseils, des recommandations de visites. Nous avons profité des jeux communs de nos enfants respectifs pour voler quelques minutes de discussions très agréables. Ce séjour a été très ressourçant! Merci Nathalie, merci les enfants. Je recommande ce gîte sans hésiter!

Très beau gîte qu’on recommande !

Nous venons de passer une très belle semaine au Cottage Ensoleillé. Le gîte est très confortable, super bien équipé et d’une propreté impeccable. Tout est fait afin de passer des vacances reposantes pour les parents et amusantes pour les enfants avec toutes les activités. Nos filles de 6 ans ont ainsi passé un super séjour ! Elles ont profité au maximum du jardin, de la piscine, du trampoline et des jeux nombreux. Elles ont aussi adoré jouer avec les enfants de la propriétaire toujours disponible tout en étant discrète. Petit bonus : les deux petits chiens adorables (Roméo et Curly). Merci encore à Nathalie et à sa famille pour leur accueil et disponibilité. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir lors de l’un prochain voyage dans la région si l’occasion se représente.

Que du bonheur !

Si vous cherchez un endroit calme et paisible, c’est ici qu’il faut se rendre ! le calme était vraiment au rendez vous ! Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Nathalie qui sait vous mettre à l’aise et est une personne très discrète et serviable !! Mes filles ont complément été déconnectées de la technologie ... trampoline, balançoire, piscine, Ping Pong, jeux de raquettes, et de la verdure ! C’est la paradis des enfants mais aussi des parents : Le coin piscine est apaisant et le coin repas est chaleureux ! Dans le gîte, nous sommes comme à la maison, rien ne manque , tout est bien pensé !!! Il faut venir pour le croire ! Geweldig huis in verrassend mooi gebied!

De gîte van Nathalie (en haar gezin) ligt in een prachtige omgeving met zonnebloemvelden en wijngaarden (cognac/pineau). Het huisje is ruim, van alle gemakken voorzien en zeer smaakvol en met oog voor detail ingericht. Echt alles is aanwezig! Er is veel ruimte buiten om te zitten. Onze kinderen zijn al tieners, maar voor kleine kinderen is er van alles te doen in de grote tuin. Het zwembad is heerlijk! Nathalie is een super gastvrouw, die alles voor je wil doen. Ze spreekt naast Frans ook vloeiend Engels. Wij komen zeker nog een keer terug!

Excellent Top Quality Gite

We have just returned from a twelve night stay and can honestly say we have never stayed at a better Gite. The standard of accommodation and equipment is first rate and Nathalie provides many extras free of charge. The garden is a huge adventure playground for children which is gated and fenced and there is a separately fenced and gated pool. The Gite is very private with its own outdoor dining and relaxation area but Nathalie is next door and always very happy to assist with any queries. They are a delightful family and we are looking forward to our next visit.

First class property set in beautiful grounds and countryside

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday with our two children,13 and 10 years old. The property is finished to a very high standard, immaculately clean and superbly equipped. The pool is heated and spotlessly clean with plenty of comfortable sun beds and inflatables to use. We loved the second kitchen by the pool and enjoyed cooking on the bbq. Nathalie was the perfect host and very kind, thoughtful and helpful when we needed any suggestions or advice. Her two children are delightful as is Curly the dog. We took a number of days out including Cognac, Brantôme and Aubeterre and we canoed, paddle boarded and tried high ropes all within close distance of the property. The restaurant le lavellete was well worth a visit for dinner, a suggestion by Nathalie. We would recommend this property without hesitation.

Fantastic property, lovely location, great hosts!

We had a wonderful 10 days with Nathalie and her family. The gite is first class and kitted out to a very high specification. We had lots of fun playing with Clovis and Scarlett in the garden and the location is especially good for children under 10 with a safe pool and garden and lots of toys. Nathalie couldn’t do enough to male our stay comfortable, thank you for the melons, pain au choc and your delicious French fries!! A wonderful stay with lovely people! Thank you

Perfect holiday home

From the moment we arrived at our holiday home we were blown away, both in the setting and in the welcome that Nathalie and her family gave us. The gite and the surrounding area are really lovely and had everything that we needed, including lots of games and toys to entertain our 2yr old, who also loved playing with Clovis, Scarlett and Curly. The pool, like everything else, was immaculate and the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon or two. Nathalie and her family were always on hand to help and offer suggestions on enjoyable trips out. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, which made our holiday all the more relaxing and enjoyable; we are already planning our return trip next year!

Having a gite on my property is for me a way to share a way of life. We are so lucky to live in a such beautiful region with a quality of life that the all world envy us !!! I have two kids of 14 and 16 in 2025. And I appreciate each day as if it is a very special day for me and my family, in our home surrended by our colorful garden. In the summer we appreciate to have a vegetable garden and all kind of herbs. In the winter we do enjoy our family life in a quiet , healthy and comfortable place .

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

When I found this property to sale , I was pregnant of my first child . I was looking for a special place to raise my children.. safe and quiet, .. but I didn't know exactly what. When I saw the ad ... and arrived at the fence of the property I immediately knew that It was the place to be ! to raise my children and having a family life.
The property is in a village, but at the end of a small road... like if you arrive at the end of the world. It s fenced , there is a path , a round about , a vegetable garden, the pool area ... Each corner of the property makes someone happy . This house use to be a farm more than 200 years ago, the walls are 80 cms thick , you can keep it cool even when it s really hot outside. From the pool area , we have a view of the countryside for kilometers...And in few minutes we can be in town, Angoulême, the big city of the Charente, a beautiful town , with restaurants , museums, and plenty of cultural and sporting activities.
