Master bedroom beds were hard

Joyce was a fantastic guest. She was friendly, easy going, respectful and communication with her was excellent. She kept the apartment like his own. 5 stars guest!!! Would love to host her again any time!

Location not as advertised!

We wanted to stay in the shaded area of the map. This house was 2 miles away. FALSE Advertising! When I called he said the house address was correct and in the area of the ‘map’. He obviously had a different map! Only parts of the outlets worked, there is no window dressing on the slider to the pool - neighbors 10 feet away can look directly into the house. No light bulb in the kids bedroom lamp. No towel racks in the bathrooms. Gate to the facility doesn’t work well….even with a paper QR code! Houses are directly on top of each other NO kind of privacy. Won’t rent from this company again. All our other experiences with VRBO have been so positive. Very disappointing. Should have taken a closer look at the negative reviews.

It's in the details

The house itself was nice. Plenty of room to move around in a house that accommodates 13+ people. The problems we had were in the details. Both king-size beds had box springs on the floor, so they were low to the ground and only provided two pillows. The upstairs bathroom's shower head sprayed everywhere but the person in the shower. Several of the outlets didn't work. The water to the dishwasher was off for most of our trip, I had to call maintenance. The water has a terrible smell when it's turned on (maybe well water). There is no privacy (which you should know from the pictures) but there are no curtains over the sliding glass doors, so at night you can see right into the house. The most disappointing part was the lack of tools in the kitchen. There are three skillets ranging from large to small but have the quality of something purchased at the dollar store. There is one stock pot and one small saucepan. There is one small cookie sheet (for 13+ people). No spatulas, no cooking tongs. No broom but three dustpans. We were given one sponge but no kitchen hand towels to dry. No pot holders to get anything out of the oven with. Nothing is left from one guest to the next, everything is thrown away. So plan on ordering salt and pepper. The location is within walking distance to Target but the pool is a hike. They offer a shuttle but walking is about 30 minutes.

Great stay, some things should be addressed

Most things were good. Although a few should be addressed. There are minimal cooking utensils. A lot of electric switches and outlets don't work. The switches should be labeled. There should be more toilet paper supplied. One roll per bathroom is not enough for 14 people for a week. Left overs from guests should be left. We left, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, and dish washer soap. All things we had to buy and had to leave behind. The water park was great, and our pool was used every day. Although it wasn't heated and the filter made a lot of noise until we figured out it was low on water. Also, there should be towel bars installed. All that being said, it was a great place, and we all would recommend it to all.

Family Vacation Thanksgiving 2022

November 23-27 Family vacation thanksgiving 2022 The management for this property is very poor, they rented us this substandard house for a premium price. Our experience there was miserable, this is a 5 bedroom 5 bath house. We were there for Thanksgiving for a nice family vacation, but due to improper management of this property it turned out to be a horrible experience. Horrible parking /only one car that can park in the driveway, kitchen equipment is very cheap - you need to bring everything with you . Game room was not in good condition. The lights & Tv were not working- I needed to text JOSE COLLADO every time . The game room is dark, no proper lighting. Sliding Door was broken , Unable to lock . Coffee maker was so small for a five bedroom house . Very cheap coffee maker. DECONOVA vacations Management has given a bad image for this house . Grill was a horrible experienced. Two propane gas tanks were empty, they charged us extra money to be able to use the gas grill. We ended up cooking our food in the conventional oven. We had prepared our dinner to be grilled in the BBQ grill. This could have been be avoided if the management (JOSE COLLADO) was on top of everything. We had confirmed ahead of time that we needed the gas grill to be ready. It was dirty and dusty, brush not even available to clean. Their SHOWER curtains are all loose and falling apart. How can VRBO tolerate this kind of management process . I think VRBO should step up to the standard of rental housing/equipment standards. Suggestion to VRBO, you should have inspections every now and then . Every time there’s a client complain its a RED FLAG . VRBO should send someone for inspection. We are vacationers, kitchens equipment should be decent and well provided. It’s so frustrating to find broken and cheap equipment. We pay a lot of money to have nice vacations but then we are unsatisfied with the amenities. Please acknowledge all the complaints from your clients and this can be avoided. Provide proper kitchen equipment. And fix all the complaints.

Cockroach infested!

Although the Vrbo team is in the midst processing my refund. the property was dirty and roach infested! The property manager would not respond. The initial vrbo rep failed to escalate the issue to the rebooking team, and the second one told me to deal with it and wait for someone to call me. The third gentleman was very helpful (after 13 hours of no response and doing an overnight with the roaches). He did all he could to help us. All -in-all the experience made the reason ( a distraction from the tragedy of my family losing someone and to commune together) was lost and therefore amplified. Though the third rep did get us in a hotel, he could only do it for 2 days when the initial trip was for 4. Not to mention that we had five children in our party who had to be relocated. We still had to pay resort and room deposits for each room. Family had to change flights to leave early. Absolutely ridiculous and a waste of time.

Super nice house and layout. Really loved having our own pool. Was very close to target and Walmart. Short drive to clubhouse—which kids and adults liked. Would recommend !

Great stay near Disney!

The house was just as advertised. The pool was heated when we got there and the grill was ready to go. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice house - not a hot tub/ parties galore

The house was excellent, lots of room for several families - towels /beach towels included. Pool was great. The clubhouse and amenities are amazing. We love the Storey Lake area and come back yearly. This house had a nice knife set, a rice cooker, blender and some other extras in the kitchen not in other rentals from the past. There was a high chair and a pack and play too. This house met our expectations minus a few things. NOTE: check address against google maps. The VRBO map is/was wrong and we expected to stay much closer to the clubhouse. 2 major complaints - 1. This house does NOT have a hot tub, it is a spa and is the same temperature as the pool. Seats 4 people comfortably (L shaped seating, not U shaped) The management company kept referring our question to pool maintenance, and after 3-4 days I asked for pool maintenance to speak directly to us. He informed us the spa would not get hotter it was on the same heat as pool. The management company should know this info and be able to clarify prior to visit. We would have stayed elsewhere had we known. 2. We were there for 2 weeks. There was a local 1 off party within 4 houses of us all but 5 nights of our stay. This house has limited parking out front- 1 car in driveway and parallel street parking. Each party night there were so many people we had to park around the corner and the noise lasted until 2am and a few nights 4am. I expected people to party super bowl night but not the rest of the time. Ask for contact info for property security. —— Mngmt was informed, but note: Bedroom lights are remote operated, the houses are close enough to affect each other so lights left on (there is a switch in each room that turns each light unit on, then you manage with remote) but shut of with remote turn on/off if neighbors are using their remotes. All hours of the night sometimes, it was annoying but likely fixed.
