The house is very nice and comfortable. We had a very enjoyable stay.Isabelle was very helpful and the arrival and departure went very smoothly.As previously mentioned, when entering the property by car, keep straight before turning to park. It is quite tight for a larger car and there is a tree to avoid ! A very nice location.

We had a beautiful stay at The Garden. Our host made every effort to make us feel welcome, and was very easy to communicate with. The house is a true gem, sitting back off the promenade just enough to insure your privacy. It was full of natural light, and very clean. Also, the kitchen was very well stocked with anything you might need to cook a gourmet meal. The ability to be killed to sleep at night by the waves crashing on the beach from our upstairs room was an added plus!

Beautiful house at an excellent location

We had a very nice stay and especially enjoyed how close the house was to the beach. We were traveling with a wheelchair and the house was also perfect for that.

Wonderful stay in Normandie

This is a wonderful property - we loved staying here with our four children, and my husband’s parents. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished and was perfect for our needs. There is a bakery close by for your morning pastry needs and several nice restaurants for the evenings. We were in Normandie to visit the WWII Landing beaches and the house worked out perfectly!

Fabulous stay

Our time at this property was wonderful. It fit 7 of us, 2 of whom were seniors with mobility challenges. The location was amazing-you can walk right onto the boardwalk but it is set back so you have some privacy. Dominique was prompt to answer messages and Isabelle was flexible in working with us when our arrival was delayed. Overall, a wonderful stay!

Normandy Family Trip

We spent a fantastic week at St Aubin Sur Mer, the house was lovely with all the amenities. It was a great pied-a-terre for our family of 5 as we explored the historic sites and enjoyed the restaurants and cafes. The house is very spacious, is well appointed, and steps away from the beach. The master bedroom has lovely balcony from which you can enjoy the view of the ocean. Would definitely stay in this home again. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Family holiday in St Aubin

I wanted to treat my family to a week away. There was my husband, my eldest son, his wife and their 14year old twins. Plus my other son. Unfortunately his wife was unable to join us. I know St Aubin very well so knew everything it offered plus surrounding area. Le Grillon was perfect for 7 people. Great location so close to the sea. My family brought their wet suits so most days they were in the sea! My sons are keen cyclists so brought their bikes plus twins bikes. Plenty of cycling routes and paths, There is so much history in the area so plenty of museums etc to visit. Then wonderful beach walks. Food shopping easy. It would have been perfection if the weather had behaved but we still had a fantastic week. Thank you very much.

Our stay at Le Grillon

It is a very nice property in a lovely location, the house is also very well maintained. We did enjoy our stay and the closeness to the beach was superb. There were however a couple of things that did not meet our expectations from the description. Only the downstairs bedroom has a toilet in the ensuite with another separate toilet off the sitting room. The upstairs ensuite shower room and the separate bathroom surprisingly have no toilets in them which means the 3 upstairs bedrooms have to share one very small toilet between them. The description clearly states separate ‘toilets’ upstairs, not toilet! The house is indeed very well equipped but there are only comfortable chairs in the sitting area for 4/5 people and there were 7 of us. There was 1 sofa and 2 armchairs. The only other chairs were hard dining chairs which were not comfortable for sitting on all evening. The house is advertised for 8 people so I would expect to have comfortable seating for 8. I think it is a lovely house in a beautiful location but the description needs some clarification.

Thank you Geoff for your comments. They will be taken in consideration. The house can accommodate 8 sleeping people with 4 bedrooms 3 showers & bath, and 3 toilets. As the house is dated from 1905 we try to keep the original shape and spirit during the renovation. Sitting arrangement in the living room is organized according in respect of the house layout. Again we are happy you spent great time in our family house, and hope to see you again.

The house and location could not be bettered. Beach at the bottom of the garden and restaurants in walking distance. A big Intermarche a short drive away. Only half an hour from the car ferry. Even the weather cooperated.I even managed to drive through the gate without any damage! (The trick is to be staright on when approaching).

Smaakvol ingericht en zeer goed gesitueerd mooi huis. We hebben genoten van ons verblijf. De enige opmerking die we hebben is het wasmachine-hokje wat een beetje klein en rommelig is tussen de fietsen en strandspullen. Verder een heel aangenaam verblijf, en prima uitval basis voor de dday historie maar ook surf en zeilmogelijkheden op loopafstand. Wij waren erg tevreden !

Grand confort

C'est une très belle maison, très bien équipée, bien entretenu et presque en première ligne. Accueil et propreté impeccable. Nous avons passé une très belle semaine très très agréable pour ceux qui souhaite visiter les plages du débarquement.

Zu Fuß ans Meer

Von der Reservierung, über Check-in bis zum Check-out hat alles perfekt geklappt. Dafür herzlichen Dank. Das Haus samt Grundstück und Lage haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Bei gutem Wetter haben wir den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Gerne wieder.

Très belle maison , très bien située ,et très calme. Tout correspond au descriptif fait sur le site par le propriétaire . Accueil chaleureux et surtout grande disponibilité du propriétaire et de la personne sur place. J’espère y retourner pour un prochain séjour dans la région.
