Beautiful location, but needs attention

We recently stayed at this beach house and while the location was fantastic, just a short walk to the beach, the condition of the property left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival the floors were not clean, the dishwasher was broken. One of the afternoons we were laying by the pool, a company came in to trim up the palm tree, leaving a mess for us to get around. Most concerning was the hot tub, which gave us a mild electric shock the first time we got in. Fortunately, the realtor company responded quickly to our concerns and worked to address the issues, which we appreciated.

Amazing Location, Good for Groups

Management was overall very responsive to any questions or concerns we had during our stay. We traveled with multiple generations of family members and there was enough space (with the rollaway bed) for all to be comfortable. We traveled with an infant so we noticed a few things that may not pertain to the average renter: First, the floors were overall pretty dirty/sandy leftover from the previous guests, so much so that we didn't let him crawl for the duration of the week. Also, everything in this house is LOUD. The frequently used back door going out to the pool might be the loudest door I've ever heard. Overall, a good experience that I would recommend for the location alone. PS: I've you're visiting the Palmetto State, It's hard to avoid the Palmetto Bugs

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our rental made our vacation! We stayed for a week and couldn’t have asked for a better rental. The pool and hot tub were up to par, the pool cleaner was wonderful and respectful! We are thankful to have gotten to rent this spot and are hoping to come back again! The only thing that wasn’t perfect was that upon arrival, the floors were not clean. Our young children’s feet were extremely dirty due to the condition of the floor.

Great location, cleanliness not

Location is amazing, few minutes from beach. However, walking in, first impression is not great. The smell is awful, need some plugins or something. The living room furniture was awful, would not sit on it until we covered with blankets. Floors were so dirty had to clean feet daily before bed. I had to clean the pool, had 2 plastic bags in it. Outdoor furniture hadn’t been wiped down. Couldn’t believe no one did a check before we arrived. Dirt in shower, dead bug near sliding glass doors…I didn’t expect perfection with older house, but a bit better was hoped for.

Older home but a great spot

Location was outstanding and although the home is a little older, it was very well-maintained. Backyard pool was awesome. The only issue was that the guests before us obviously cooked seafood and there was a strong fish smell that didnt go away.

Had one crawling on me 1:30 am.Dead roach in bathroomLonge furniture was rusted through and dangerous for occupants. Wife almost injured herself when the bolt fell outExternal shower hose almost useless. Hose was so kinked had no water pressure.Hot tub had fault. Random guy had showed up maybe an hour after we checked in unannounced. Said he didn’t have the keys to the gate and left and never returned. The jets did not work or lights. The gate remained locked three days out of our stay so we literally couldn’t biomass walking through house sandy if we wanted to.The entire shrubbery in driveway is ridden with poison ivy literally hanging down almost hitting you in the face.Chairs in outside seating area for side room were broken to the point you can’t use them.Bathroom sink doesn’t drainAnother random guy was parked behind our vehicles at 7am just sitting in his truck with busted headlight leaking oil in driveway. He said he was there to check out the pool . I told him the pool was fine and he left. Maintenance should notify occupants before arrival for young family security purposes.The road needs some kind of speed reduction device. People more than double the limit all hours of the day!!!Other than all of that we loved the heated pool. We loved the layout and stocked kitchen cutlery. TVs in every room for whomever while everyone gets ready was cool. Access to washer and dryer was nice. Of course the super close walk to the private beach was great!!

Quaint cottage

It worked out well for a girls weekend getaway. The pool and hot tub were clean and well cared for and enjoyed by all. Good supplies in the kitchen and the beds were comfortable, even the pull out sofa. The septic system had trouble keeping up with all 12 of us, and had a toilet overflow. The rental company was super responsive and had someone there within 15 min to repair it and help with clean up. Wonderful location to the beach!

RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE

The first time we rented there was a hot dog in the hot tub and the hot tub was never fixed. We thought it was a fluke and we liked the location. This Time the pool was never Cleaned and AGAIN the Hot tub was not working. The Pool had half tree limbs in it and they claim they come and clean the pool daily. It wasn't once cleaned. When we got to the home the cleaning lady wasn't even finished so we had to get in 30min later than scheduled. The chairs in the living room now have stains all over them and the master bedroom door you can barely close due to the terrible foundation. The Location is good but the house itself isn't worth the money.

Older home

We booked mainly because of the pool and the privacy we would have while enjoying the back yard. From the street level you have total privacy but all the homes surrounding the house have 2 stories so keep that in mind. The home is older so it has a very lived in feel. The home was dark not alot of natural light and my family loves bright and open. Only the televisions in master bedroom and livingroom could get streaming services, the rest were cable tv. We werent wowed but it was as advertised and stocked with the basic necessities. The home wasnt spotless but it was neat and tidy.

First time family trip in a house

We really enjoyed having our own space without having to deal with stairs parking decks etc. The house offered plenty of space and outside area for our family to enjoy some time together. The screened in front porch was also nice to enjoy during a rain shower.The beach access made the walk to the beach very easy.

We contacted North Beach realty they sent someone out to spray. When the bug guy arrived to spray we told him someone was already out to spray the day before. He responded 'Okay I'll have to get in touch with the owner of the property. That's the last we heard from North Beach realty. Stuck with fleas for the week we did our best to remedy the situation on our own. It's too soon to say for certain, but hopefully we didn't bring them home. North Beach realty never reached out to us to even offer a slight discount. To spend $5,000 for one week and not have North Beach realty do anything I found to be completely outrageous.

Overall it was a great stay. Loved the pool and hot tub. Very clean and comfortable! The only issue was the master bathroom shower drain was clogged and very slow drain. I'm sure this is an easy fix fir the next guest.

Perfect Location- missing some basic items

We couldn’t have asked for a better location for a ladies’ getaway. It’s steps from the ocean so we could come back to the house easily for anything we needed. A very short drive to restaurants, entertainment & shopping so we were able to do everything we wanted within a few minutes - The house was missing a few basics and it would’ve been nice to have a dish scrubber, a few dishwasher & laundry pods. With us staying to stay for close to a week, it would have been nice to not have to go out and buy them. Also, the hot tub was very dirty and needs a new filter. It was not ready for us upon arrival and the pool guy cleaned it for us on day two (he told us that he was only supposed to clean the pool, so someone else should’ve been on top of that) it’s not something you want to not have ready to enjoy when you check into your accommodations - Check out was easy, Overall good stay

Big house but honestly very dirty!

I would not rent again. The house is in perfect location just a few feet from the beach, shops and restaurants all around. The cleaning of the house was disgusting, I had to go out and buy products to at least be able to use the bathrooms and at night it is infested with cockroaches (giant) The pool burned the water pump, it took 3 days to fix it... yes, they refunded me for the days without working and also the whirlpool spa looked like a well of aqua stopped until the day they went to fix the pool pump and I complained and then they measured the water to clean. About the house it was a horrible experience
