The Mountains Win Again

WELCOME TO LAKE LURE!! Our Happy Place is located inside the gates of Rumbling Bald Resort. It's the perfect place for a family vacation or golf groups. Enjoy the direct views of Bald Mountain and watch the golfers as they play along the 3rd fairway of the Bald Mountain Golf Course. Sip your coffee or cocktail on the front porch while enjoying your sunrise and sunset. The condo is newly renovated and decorated. You will have access to the resort amenities - which includes indoor/outdoor pools and lazy river, walking distance to a private beach, restaurants, fitness center and spa, tennis and basketball courts, mini-golf, hiking trails, and MUCH MORE!

The main level bedroom has 2 queen beds and a full bath (shower only) with double vanity sinks. The bedroom opens to the front porch. The upstairs bedroom includes 2 full beds and 2 twin beds on a platform. A full bathroom is directly outside of the bedroom. The bedroom opens to a private balcony that seats 2. It overlooks a fully furnished patio off the kitchen below.

Our Happy Place is a 15 min drive to the nearest grocery (Ingles). It is conveniently located 45-60 min to Asheville and Hendersonville and a short 25 min drive to Chimney Rock and Rutherfordton. It is also a 30 min drive to the FEI World Equestrian center in Tryon, NC. Enjoy hiking trails along your way and wonderful shops in the small cities of Western North Carolina.

The unit has wi-fi and roku (includes netflix, youtube tv - personal info must be entered for YouTube)

All individuals 12+ must have a guest pass for Rumbling Bald amenities. Pool, cabana rentals, wellness center access.

We had a great time. The only thing I wished I would have done was rent a golf cart but due to weddings going on none were available. It would have made get around alot easier.overall this was one of the Best places we have stayed. I would definitely recommend this place.

It’s such a beautiful location. It was so enjoyable walking on the golf cart path one evening around the corner from my condo view. Fun playing trivia. Drove over to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock one day to show some support. Things are really looking up.

The condo was very nice, great kitchen, comfy beds, clean, plenty of space for everyone. The grounds were beautiful, great activities to enjoy, very relaxing. Everyone was very friendly except the lady that was tending the wellness center desk on Monday at about 11:30am, I literally asked her if anyone else had told her she’s very abrasive. My daughter and I walked in, having never been in there before, I asked if we needed to scan our guest passes and she rudely said “What are you doing here?”, I told her I was going to workout, she looked at my daughter and asked very rudely “how old is she?”, I told her and she said she couldn’t go in the gym not even if she’s not going to workout, I told my daughter to come into the locker room with me and she sat in the vanity room of the locker room while I worked out. Other than that lady being so rude, we had a great time! The resort is not very close to anything, but we did find the little Exxon station/grocery and that was very helpful. GPS doesn’t work well in the area so screenshot directions just in case. The owners were very responsive and accommodating! I would love to go back with my husband for some golfing!

Just a weekend getaway. The weather was not great but we enjoyed our time just catching up and sitting outside. I would have liked to been able to check in a bit earlier and the check out a little later than 10am.So basically we had one full day to enjoy from Friday-Sunday. Very clean and accommodating. Would recommend.

Absolutely loved "Our Happy Place" Will be booking again soon! Well stocked kitchen tvs in every room the sound of the river from the front porch was so relaxing! Vistied Lineville Caverns and lucky strike gold and gem mine. So much to do around here and "our happy place" is definitely the perfect place to unwind after a long day.

Cute townhome

Cute and comfy townhome on the golf course. Had everything we needed. Because the lake is closed we were thankful for the pools, basketball, tennis and pickleball courts.

Quick trip

Stayed two nights, but got there late on first night! Very comfortable beds!Enjoyed our time at the pool and had a great breakfast near the resort. Checkout directions are different on VRBO than actual instructions! All in all a great stay!

Peace and quite time

It was a beautiful place to visit far from busy life. The property was clean and maintained. Our town home location was great and can enjoy the green glof field and mountain from the deck with a cup of tea. It was enough spacious. We all enjoyed the stay. Thanks !

Nice condo in a great location

The condo was very comfortable for two couples traveling to Lake Lure for a golf outing. It was such a bonus to be able to enjoy the pool and lazy river after golf! The condo was easy to access and well furnished. We only used one bed in the upstairs bedroom, but a family with kids would like the multiple bed options. We were very happy there were barn doors separating the upstairs loft bedroom from the living room below (we initially couldn’t tell from the pictures if it was an open loft or enclosed). Would definitely return!

Rumbling Bald Memorial Weekend

Everything we needed and more. If you log onto the resort website they have activities that occur. We enjoyed a band and s’mores. Even when rain was in the forecast we enjoyed the indoor pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub. Coming back to the rental were all kinds of board games/puzzles. When the weather cleared up we had so much fun at the pool and miniature golfing. With only 2 days we ran out of time to play pickle ball, corn hole, eat at the restaurant, and to shoot some baskets. Kitchen was full equipped and we were able to cook everyday. Beds were VERY comfortable. So much in this place to do. This rental has maximized their space. Beautiful views-loved the backyard patio and having coffee on the front deck as we watched the golfers and the mountain tops. This place is CLEAN. There were so many extras offered: coffee pods, detergent pods, dryer sheets, cooking appliances galore, water flavor packets, etc. The decor is so cozy and updated. There were only 5 of us but there are beds and tvs everywhere. We felt spoiled. Parking is close by which made loading and unloading so easy. We would 100 percent book here again.

Another great trip

We stayed at this property last year and came back again this summer. The condo was clean and comfortable. The host is wonderful! She worked with us when we had to reschedule our stay due to an illness, and she was accessible and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Will Definitely Stay Again!

We had the most wonderful stay! The condo was very clean and comfortable! There was plenty of room for the 4 adults and one child we were with. The beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets and towels. We had car issues while we were there so we weren’t able to leave the resort but there was plenty to do every day. We rented a golf cart to get around the resort and it was fun driving it to the pools and beach every day. We took the boat tour of Lake Lure and got pizza from Legends restaurant on the lake. A mechanic finally came out to the resort and got our car fixed the day of check out. Audra was very understanding and accommodating We made some wonderful memories and hope to return again soon!

A Fun Weekend!

My youngest grand daughter wanted to spend her birthday at Lake Lure with family. We had a great time. The condo is very accommodating for families with kids. It is well furnished, clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the amenities--lake, pool, lazy river--a fun time for all!

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay at The Mountains Win Again! The property looked exactly like the online listing and was spacious and comfortable. My son's absolutely loved the loft space! The property manager was professional and responsive. We would absolutely stay at this property again!

The Mountains Certainly DO win again!

Everything about this property is perfect. Check-in was very easy and communication with the owner was fantastic! We have a 3 year old so we asked if we could access the amenities prior to check-in and Audra was more than accommodating. In fact, when we arrived two hours before check-in the property had been cleaned so Audra let us check-in early which was very much appreciated with our little one. The home itself is immaculate; very clean, well decorated, comfortable furniture, and well appointed. If you think you need to bring a bunch of stuff to enjoy your getaway, you don’t. The kitchen is the most well equipped rental home I’ve ever stayed in. The separate a/c unit in the downstairs bedroom was a July heatwave dream! It was so nice to crank the a/c down for a nice relaxing sleep while not freezing everyone else in the house out. We rented a golf cart from the pro shop for the week. At $95 a day it’s pricey but oh my is it convenient. Definitely worth it for our family but using your car to get around would work as well. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the pool and/or lake. Thank you Audra and family for allowing us to stay in your home. We had an absolute ball and will definitely book again.

Great Spot for Lake Lure Vacay!

We are a OSU Buckeye loving family from OHIO!! Lake Lure has been a family vacation destination for our family for nearly 40 years. My parents started taking us to Lake Lure and now multiple generations enjoy the mountains and lake life.

We had been looking at properties for a couple of years. When Our Happy Place went on the market my mom fell in love with the views and overall location. Because our children had enjoyed summers swimming in the trout stream pool, hiking, riding golf carts, and swimming in the lake we knew this was a life long dream to make happen.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The views are amazing from our front porch. You can walk out in the mornings and just listen to the stillness. You wake to the birds chirping and on many mornings you can hear the trout stream flowing. We love the many adventures you can take and most important the memories to be made. We love Lake Lure!!
